I have had a Kitchenaid for 10 years. No problems. I love my other KA appliances. It's the fridge with this new dual compressor technology that doesn't work right. I wish it did. I love my fridge, the look & layout is very nice...it just doesn't stay cold. I have had to throw away so much food bc our freezer has thawed out food w/o me realizing it. We had initially purchased the larger model...29 cu ft I believe. We noticed frost inside the freezer right away. We called the store and they said they have had 5 people with the same problem that week alone, and have decided not to carry that one anymore until Whirlpool figures out how to fix it. They exchanged our fridge for the smaller 25 or 26 cu ft model that has a great track record. I love it more than my original one, size-wise and I love that the water is no longer on the door, but inside the fridge. |

Not sure if you care but Frigidaire top freezer style are made in the USA. Side by sides are made in Mexico.

The repairman that has tried to fix it many times has said he fixes the same KA refrigerator multiple times a day!!! That's just crazy Whirlpool hasn't tried to fix the problem. Sears doesn't even carry KA refrigerators on the floor anymore which is where I purchased the appliances. |
