I just unfollowed because I think she’s an asshole posting multiple stories from their Mexico vacation this week.

I'm loving this color palette. I can see picking up some of this. I've seen some people do cool things in the Storyline Chapter books recently but I so don't need another project, no matter how cute the size.

Carefree has a similar vibe as Artwalk, and I used a whole lot of Artwalk scrapping Florida photos. I don't care for the Carefree Project Pad at all, but if I see the 6x8 at JoAnn I'll probably get it with a coupon.

When did they go to Mexico? Was it in 2020? during COVID ? 

Carefree is also a pass for me.

DAMN!!! I wish I could unknow this. But I can't. In the immortal words of Daveed Digs and the Notorious B.I.G., "If you didn't know, now you know." 

Whyyyyyyy Heidi, whyyyyyy? Just when I like a collection that might be around when I am done being frozen you have to pull this elitist crap. 

Ok I am confused. 

Are you upset that she traveled? Traveled Internationally? 

For the greater good of pretty much the world, people should not be traveling for fun right now, IMO. Traveling for things that are necessary I totally get, some people have to travel for medical needs, to go to family that needs help, or to say goodbye to loved ones that are not going to be with them for long. But galivanting around Mexico on vacation? No. It is putting others at risk, and (again IMO) shows a tone-deaf feeling toward the world at large. Essentially, it’s important to make sure we aren’t a threat to smaller, underexposed communities, their people, and their resources. I don't feel like there is a way to assess that we are not a threat. It would be irresponsible to risk getting sick, to risk putting an additional burden on the doctors & nurses who are dealing with this, & I could never forgive myself if I was responsible for someone getting sick. It's elitist because she is in another country, utilizing their resources and needing people to provide services for her; her privilege allows her to do this. 

All that said, I certainly don't want to turn this into a rag on Heidi Swapp. I think she made a poor ethical choice. I still like Carefree...it's pretty. I liked ArtWalk better though. 

I guess I feel it’s In poor taste to be posting about your vacation by plane right now. In Los Angeles county Alone a person dies every 8 minutes from covid related issues. If you have a big following who you rely on to buy your products, for fucks sake keep it on the downlow that you’re dismissing travel recs.

I’m on complete cancel culture mode when it comes to covid, qanon, maga, and the like. Nothing changes if people aren’t held accountable.

No I would not travel. We won’t even meet our baby niece due to covid fears which has pissed my in-laws off to no end.
We did do a beach vacay this summer. We drove and intrrracted with as few people as possible. But our county was yellow at the time. Now we’re red and there’s no hospital within 100 miles. I’ll also add that in July we still chose to believe the virus was a hoax. We observed all precautions just in case but we thought it would end with the election. We know better now.

I just wish she would produce more of the Gold Shine mist.

I like her new line, but it seems to be a lot like one canoe two or however you spell their name!
