Just curious...what do the lyrics of this song mean to you? Will to Power - Baby I love your way www.youtube.com/watch?v=79r_XaUU7yEShadows grow so long before my eyes And they're moving across the page Suddenly the day turns into night Far away from the city But don't hesitate 'Cause your love, your love won't wait oh no no Ooh baby I love your way every day Ooh wanna tell you I love your way every day Ooh wanna be with you night and day Hey yeah I love your way If I leave here tomorrow Will you still remember me For I must be traveling on now There's so many places I gotta see But if I stayed here with you girl Things just wouldn't be the same 'Cause I'm as free as a bird now And this bird will never change, And this bird will never change Shadows grow so long before my eyes With the help of some fireflies I wonder how they have the power to shine I can see them under the pines But don't hesitate 'Cause your love won't wait Ooh baby I love your way (every day) Ooh wanna tell you I love your way (night and day) Ooh baby I love your way (every day) Every day now Ooh wanna tell you I love your way (night and day, night and day) I love your way Ooh baby I love your way ('cause I'm as free as a bird now) Give me you way, wanna tell you I love your way (a free as a bird now) Ooh baby I love your way Ooh baby I love your way (every day) Ooh wanna tell you I love your way (night and day) Ooh baby I love your way (every day, every day) Ooh wanna tell you I love your way (night and day, night and day, oh oh) Ooh baby I love your way (night and day)

This is a combination of two different songs. What does it mean to you?

This is a combination of two different songs. What does it mean to you? I'm not sure that's why I'm asking. LOL! My first thought was it's a love song...a guy expressing his love for his gf. But I'm not sure about this part: If I leave here tomorrow Will you still remember me For I must be traveling on now There's so many places I gotta see
But if I stayed here with you girl Things just wouldn't be the same 'Cause I'm as free as a bird now And this bird will never change, And this bird will never changeDoes it mean he wants to break up?

This part doesn’t fit with the other part because it’s from a different song. They aren’t going to make sense together.

I'm old and remember when both these songs came out. To me these songs on their own have sort of opposite meanings.
I think you need to go listen to them individually. First one is Baby I love your way by Peter Frampton. Second is Freebird by Lynard Skynard

Well it's Peter Frampton and Lynyrd Skynyrd. Peter's song is a love. He loves everything about her. Freebird is a declaration of love for a woman but the guy is just not one to stay home. He has to be true to his self. And was to be played at my funeral when the balloons were released for many years.

I didn't realize this is a combination of two totally different songs. But when combined, what do you think is the meaning or the message of the "new" song?

Just my personal interpretation, but I always thought in Baby I love your way the guy was on his way to the girl and we all know in Freebird he is leaving.

And it's probably me not hearing since I was rolling around the skating rink. I thought Peter was dreamy. I need to listen to it again.

But, I kinda want to hear other people's thoughts on this song.

But, I kinda want to hear other people's thoughts on this song. I’ve been listening to the two different songs since the 70’s - I’m that old. So, for 45 years, they’ve been two songs. Someone mixed/mashed-up two songs, like in Pitch Perfect. I can’t hear them as one song, because they were written by different people and aren’t connected except by whoever mixed them. As mentioned above, Baby, I Love Your Way is a love song and Freebird is an anthem about staying uncommitted/not tied down.
