how people fall prey to these delusional charlatans. Brainwashed since childhood to see the world in black and white terms and with "satan" around every corner. Taught to be afraid of fake things and taught to ignore the truly dangerous when they're in the guise of authority )pastors, coaches, politicians, etc.)

Read it and weep. GOP is (brain)dead. And only 26% of Americans identify as Republican. Leaving about 14% of Americans believing that. Just more fuel for how out of touch the national Republican party is with average people in this country.

Sadly, due to gerrymandering and voter suppression laws, they have just enough voters to keep power in state houses, governorships and soon maybe the Congress again. Nothing like being led by the out-of-touch minority, is there?

I have given up trying to figure out why these people believe what they believe. right with you. There was no reasoning involved in their beliefs so there is no way to "figure out" how they got there. As well as no way (or rare) to reason them out. It's just a given in their minds. No reason to think.

They grow up into adults who can't reason and don't particularly care.

One of my good friends posted something on FB that I replied to it not actually being a fact. She said she just didn't have words for my response and posted another meme with more untrue statements. Later in the day, FB came back with statement over her initial post saying it was untrue as well as her second meme. I had to giggle. Love that FB is on top of all of the lies.

The extremists become more and more powerful as there is less and less competition and necessity to respond to what voters actually want. I went with the new gallup poll referenced by HCR for the numbers.

Nothing like being led by the out-of-touch minority, is there? That's exactly what happens with gerrymandering. The extremists become more and more powerful as there is less and less competition and necessity to respond to what voters actually want. I went with the new gallup poll referenced by HCR for the numbers. Currently in Texas, a bill is being put forward (with good likelihood of passing) that triggers an election in any county over 1M residents that reduces funding for law enforcement, even if that money goes to other programs like social services that work hand in hand with police. The bill also prohibits county officials from campaigning to support their decisions in the event such an election is triggered. It's supposed to be a straight up or down vote. You might take from this that the GOP is targeting Democratic elected officials from urban counties, and banking on the special election being triggered to mostly draw older, GOP voters, and you would be correct. They don't give a shit about law enforcement. They're just looking for a way to replace Democratic county officials with Republican ones and using police funding as a political football to accomplish their goal. They're also getting ready to pass a law that will have the effect of reducing polling places (creating longer lines) in urban, mostly minority communities, to suppress Democratic votes. This is the direct result of extreme gerrymandering in Texas that causes the GOP to have a supermajority in both state houses, despite the fact that voters are not nearly so lopsided in raw numbers. If you can't win, cheat.

What if you could call 922 24/7 for TRAINED PROFESSIONALS (like psychologists, social workers, etc) to show up to deal w/the mentally ill who are a danger to themselves and/or others instead of calling 911 to get the police to show up?!?
No, let's never make things better. Let's keep CONSERVING the (f'ed up) status quo.

"“President Trump is going to be addressing the GOP and the nation,” Jansen said. “Watch what happens. I said by spring, which starts officially June 23, we’d be dancing in the streets. The Trump administration is on its way in; the pedophilia Biden administration — the fake administration — Biden’s administration is on its way out. I don’t care if you like it or not, it doesn’t matter. We all know what took place, and God is going to do something amazing in this nation and through this nation. It’s revival time. It’s revolution time.”" ----- Jansen, who led Global Fire Ministries International in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, until he was recently fired “due to a pattern of making poor moral choices, and bad coping mechanisms, character flaws,” and “unscriptural and unbiblical behavior,” declared earlier this year that the United States was actually under martial law as the military prepared to remove President Joe Biden from office and reinstall Trump. Jansen originally prophesied that this would happen by June, but in March he updated his prophecy to declare that it would actually happen by the end of April. Despite the fact that April came and went with Biden still in the White House, Jansen continued to insist that his prophecy was accurate. In a video urging people to watch the speech Trump was scheduled to deliver to the North Carolina Republican convention Saturday night, Jansen reverted back to the June deadline of his original prophecy, insisting that Biden will soon be removed and replaced by Trump.... For the record, spring does not start on June 23, as Jansen claimed. It actually began on March 20, 2021 and ends on June 20, 2021." www.rightwingwatch.org/post/prophet-jeff-jansen-declares-its-revolution-time-says-trump-will-be-back-in-office-in-june/--- PS - It's July now, my dude. Time to set another prediction - just like all the psychics and "end time-ers" do.

"Kat Kerr, Hank Kunneman, and ‘The Hand of God’" "Self-proclaimed “prophetess” Kat Kerr appeared on the Elijah Streams YouTube channel last Wednesday, where she claimed to have seen the “hand of God” appear in the sky during the fireworks display that took place in Jacksonville, Florida, on Independence Day. Kerr claimed that the appearance of the “hand of God” in the sky was confirmation of fellow “prophet” Hank Kunneman’s prophecy that a “divine shift” would take place on Fourth of July, resulting in former President Donald Trump being restored to the White House." ps - this fireworks smoke is "the hand of god" (giving voters the finger, I guess) www.rightwingwatch.org/post/kat-kerr-hank-kunneman-and-the-hand-of-god/

"Thousands of right-wing Christians gathered at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, Tennessee, on Independence Day for a “Let Freedom Ring” rally that featured self-proclaimed “prophets” and right-wing pastors Robin Bullock, Todd Coconato, Hank Kunneman, Mario Murillo, and Dutch Sheets as speakers. The event was organized by Kent Christmas, pastor of Regeneration Nashville, who took to the stage to warn that “God is going to begin to kill wicked men and women in this nation.” “In 2015, [ God] spoke to me and said Donald Trump would become president,” Christmas said. “Did not look possible. He became president. Most of us thought that he would become president again this time, and he was. He won it by about 80 million votes.”... "the first thing that’s going to happen is the Bible said that God is going to release angels into the Earth and they are going to remove those that offend and commit iniquity in the body of Christ. And there is a death release from God that’s getting ready to hit the wicked—I’m not talking about spiritual death; I’m talking about natural death—that God is going to begin to kill wicked men and women in this nation that have stood and opposed the authority of the Holy Ghost.”" www.rightwingwatch.org/post/trumpist-pastor-kent-christmas-declares-god-is-going-to-begin-to-kill-wicked-men-and-women-claims-trump-won-by-about-80-million-votes/Dude is horny for another Noah-flood genocide

That is some serious and scary delusional thinking there. I can't even come up with a path of thinking that would put the two of them together even if JFK Jr. was somehow miraculously still alive. I weep for the death of common sense and rational thinking.
