I need help! My printer just died and I want to get a decent new one. I need to print stuff for hybrid LOs, PL cards, etc. I would also love to be able to print a photo and have it look decent. My old HP was very functional but not great with photos on photo paper. Does anybody have a printer they love and was it expensive? Thanks!

I have a canon pixma MG5250 which I love and which I think produces great photos. Not a current model but I'm sure there's something similar. Not expensive at all. Do you want one that does 12 x 12? They're probably more pricey.

Thanks Annie. No I am not looking for a large format printer. I have all of my pages printed at either Costco or Persnickety. I am just looking for a decent photo printer and one that would print out things for the Silhouette or for embellies and PL. I was reading the reviews for the Pixmas and they look really nice. I am going down to Best Buy this evening to take a look at them.

I have and love the Artisan line by Epson. I have an Artisan 835 and the print quality is fantastic. I never send out my photos anymore unless I am ordering bulk or metallic prints. All of my PL and scrapping photos are printed at home. I will say that I only use Epson photo paper, and usually it's the ultra premium. I subscribe to their email service and get notifications when they have a sale. Usually their photo papers are 40% off during their sales. So I stock up.

bingcherry, thanks for the great info. My gf has an Artisan but she said she thought they were discontinued. I did find them at a couple of online stores and at the Epson site. I got something to tide me over and told my dh that the Artisan would be my next purchase when I go back to work in August.

I also have an Epson Artisan 835 and think it's the greatest thing ever. Prints beautiful photos of several sizes, copies photos, scans photos to your computer...I love it!

I love my Epson Artisan 735. I have been quite pleased with the photos I get.
