Too late to destroy the phone - it will still provide evidence that they were there via the phone number they had. I mean if/when they get down to it the cel phone data will be there for every phone that was in the capital

Completely unrelated, I'm sure: "Payments in bitcoin worth more than $500,000 were made to 22 different virtual wallets, most of them belonging to far-right activists and internet personalities, before the storming of the U.S. Capitol, cryptocurrency compliance startup Chainalysis said on Friday.... “We have also gathered evidence that strongly suggests the donor was a now-deceased computer programmer based in France,” Chainalysis said in the report. Nick Fuentes, who was permanently suspended from YouTube last year for hate speech, received 13.5 bitcoins, worth about $250,000 at the time of the transfer, making him by far the biggest beneficiary of the donation, according to the blog post." www.reuters.com/article/us-usa-election-cryptocurrency/large-bitcoin-payment-made-to-far-right-individuals-before-u-s-capitol-attack-report-idUSKBN29J2PM

Violence, rage, irrationality? Yep.

I doubt they will need the actual phones, I’m pretty sure all they need is the records from the phone company showing who was there in and around the building. I think there’s going to be a huge run on dumb criminal stories for months to come.

Will that leave a footprint for the IRS to tax &/or pursue people for tax evasion on if they don’t declare it and pay tax on it?

You sell the bitcoins on a crypto currency exchange site and get it transferred to your bank account. Yes, you do have to register and fill a declaration primarily for money laundering laws but no doubt the IRS would have access to the same info I would imagine.

How can these people even exist? They are so so SO stupid Because they can be easily manipulated. You aren't going to get the super-smart ones to do certain things, because they know better. They protect themselves. But you can use the true believers as your foot soldiers, you can get them to donate to the cause, etc. There's a certain type of person targeted by these groups, and intelligence isn't high on their list of desirable qualities.

I love how these dumasses filmed every second they were there, making it easier for officials to identify everyone.

You can use it to buy stuff. Harder to trace that way.

I love how these dumasses filmed every second they were there, making it easier for officials to identify everyone. And NO MASKS!!! Cuz they're "freedumb muzzles" and they cover "God's perfect body - unlike underwear I guess". They could have had masks on to protect themselves and each other from COVID, but they chose to be double dumbasses.
