you do it? I'm trying to figure out the right adaptions to the mix ingredients.
It's a Duncan HInes Family size 18 oz mix and calls for 2-3 eggs, 1/2 cup oil, 1/4 cup water)?
I've got 3 medium size bananas I'm hoping to use up. I'm wondering if it would work if I substituted the 3 bananas for the water and oil?? Or, should I keep some oil in to keep it tender?? Or, will this be too much moisture to cook up properly? I can bake it in either an 8x8 or 9x13.
Have you done this before?? What would your recommendations be?
I've been craving them for a few days now once the idea popped into my head. I do have a chocolate banana bread recipe but want the simplicity of the brownie mix as well and want them to be more of a brownie than banana bread.

You can freeze bananas, whole in peel or peeled. I peel cut in half crosswise bag and freeze. They do get dark. Can be used for cooking, in smoothies, in oatmeal.. I also will pull out a half and cut it up. They don't get too hard, nice little sweet snack.

I would replace the oil with the bananas...I use applesauce in place of oil in mixes all the time

I'd probably use the bananas to replace the oil only - and add them well mashed banana one at a time and stir to get the consistency you want. You might need 2 and not 3. Just my guess.

I’d use 1/2 cup of mashed bananas for the oil. Keep the water.

The water is needed to provide moisture to the other ingredients in the mix. The bananas may be used instead of the oil. These brownies will taste really good!

I peel and freeze in gallon bags. When the bag is full, I thaw out and make a quadruple batch of banana bread.
