DH and I are looking for recommendations of new movies to watch.
We really enjoy heist movies. The modern Oceans 11 series, and Now You See Me.
We like the Grisham movies of the 90s and others like them.
We also like movies like the Mission Impossible movies and some of the Daniel Craig Bond Movies and Jack Reacher. Thriller/action movies but without too much violence, sex, or profanity.
I know our tastes are pretty narrow (we both like other things too but these are the kind we agree on).
Can you recommend others for us that are like these?

We lean towards DH’s choice usually. 😄
We liked The Gentlemen, Spenser Confidential and Uncut Gems.

If any of the Oceans or Bourne movies are on when DH is surfing we will get sucked in.
A slightly different genre, but The Shawshank Redemption or The Green Mile also suck us in every time.
Anything by Wes Anderson (especially Moonrise Kingdom) and Taika Waititi (Hunt for the Wilderpeople or JoJoRabbit) is also really good.
Another great, older heist movie is The Thomas Crown Affair with Pierce Brosnan.

Granted, these are not my type of flicks for home viewing so that might not match.
I suppose The Lady Vanishes, The Killing, and To Catch a Thief are too old fashioned.

The remake of The Italian Job with Seth Green and Charlize Theron is great! I will stop and watch it every time I find it on tv. 😄
The remake of The Thomas Crowne Affair with Pierce Brosnan and Rene Russo is another fav of ours. A painting is stolen. There is some sex and nudity in it though, so if that’s not something you want to see maybe skip this one.

Have you seen Catch Me If You Can with Leonardo DiCaprio? Not a LdiC fan, but loved this movie. Original heist movie? The Sting. Still just as good today and FILLED with the likes of Paul Newman and Robert Redford. Also, if you can watch something with Mel Gibson in it, The Conspiracy Theory. It was outstanding. |

An oldie but goodie might be Arlington Road with Jeff Bridges and Tim Robbins. Thriller, tense, crazy.

This isn't a movie, but I just watched the series Lupin on Netflix and really enjoyed it (five episodes out now and the second part of season 1 comes later this year).
ETA: This one is French and subtitled, so you have to pay attention, lol. (I didn't mind, but some people don't like subtitles)
