Ok, I am watching part 1. Here's a cliff note version:

-He's not proud of this stretch of his life.
-Blames his wife Opal that she had being the breadwinner in their family and had no respect for him.
-Met his wife Opal while still married to his first wife
-He was faithful til Oct 2020. He wasn't getting attention and love at home. Wasn't looking for a hook up. He had no fear of being caught.
-had only 4 girlfriends (but was talking online with 2 more).


-He has no clue how this happened. 
-He says his wife did not finance any of this. He paid for it himself, after he paid his bills. 
-He usually did dates that didnt cost money (window shop, antiquing but not buying anything)
-He only met Cecicly in his uniform. Otherwise he was in his normal clothes. 

-He says he never proposed to any of them. He might have said it in a text as a joke, but he didnt mean it. Even though they talked about what a wedding would look like. He talked with Christy the most about weddings. 
-He thought the divorce with Opal was going to happen but he wasn't going to marry Christy anytime soon.
-He says he misled them. He laughs when Phil asks if he told the girls he was single. 

-He's 6 ft 3 and 280lb. He lost 180 lb due to gastric sleeve. (he weighed 430 lb pre-surgery)
-When he lost the weight, his self image improved. 
-He got lots of new attention, thanks to losing weight. He believed the attention he was getting and felt validated. 
-Opal thought he was working undercover. He lied to her. He would travel to other towns for that undercover job. 
-Was in Law Enforcement for 22 years. Never written up. He has integrity and honor.
-Towards the end, Opal started asking questions. 
-He had Opal cover for him when Cecily was wanting answers. He told Opal Ceicily was an informant. 
-Mutual friend recognized him on FB in Cecily social media. Mutual friend outed him to Cecily and Opal. 
-Ceilicy talked about this (they show a video she made for a local news station)- he lied to her when she confronted him. She is not a homewrecker. 
-He tried covering it up to make it go away. Classic gaslighting. He laughs when Dr Phil says that. 
-Ceicily apologized to him for doubting him. 
-He laughs when Dr Phil asks about Opal talking to Cecily to cover for him.

-He convinced Opal to talk to Ceicily and told her they weren't married anymore. He told Opal that Ceicily was an informant and had valuable information.
-Told Opal the undercover sting was confidential so she would not ask questions. 
-Told Opal it would be her fault if his cover was blown.
-He and Cecily got caught quickly - they got together in early January and was caught mid January. He aplogized to Ceilcly in a video (this was before everything unraveled).
-He thought everything was smoothed over. 


-Jason forged the annualment paper to convince Cecily. 
-He cant talk about the annulment because its in a criminal case. 
-He wanted her to believe he was single. He had a connection with her. 


-Why not divorcee Opal? Looking back, it would have been the best decision. He wanted to see if anyone was interested in him first. He didnt know if he was attractive to other woman. 
-Phil tells him he's like he got a new car (new body) and wanted to give everyone in the neighborhood a free ride. 
-What did Opal think of being used? She is upset and hurt. He broke her trust. At one point, they thought they could get counseling and try to work this out.
