Safe, yes!
Fed? Well wonderful Walmart was late delivering my scheduled grocery delivery at 11-12noon. After numerous calls/emails... Will deliver 1:15-2:15. Ah.. 3:50pm out for delivery by 4:04, with name of driver and all.. Cancelled at 3:57....
I will say, I am not a happy camper! Had they told me earlier I could have gone while is was sunny and still in the 20s. We are supposed to get some snow.. Who knows how much? Not I!

This was a rough week with delays and the full moon. I was hoping for a normal week next week.

We escape it this weekend but get hit Monday, it’s supposed to hit more south of me but there’s probably going to be just enough snow to screw up my Monday work, which will screw up both Wednesday & Friday

My husbands covid vaccine appt is Tuesday — same day storm is supposed to hit East coast. I’m praying his appt won’t be cancelled - he has a chronic lung situation.

The DC area is supposed to get something starting on Sunday. I say "something" because around here who knows....we're in that zone that could be snow and could be rain. I'd actually forgotten about the forecast, and earlier today and went by the library to pick up hold books. While I was there I thought oh let me run by the grocery store for one thing since it's close by. Nope. The parking lot was full and there was a line of cars waiting to get in. I drove right on by. Even if I'd been able to find a parking spot there is no way I want to be in a store that's that crowded. We do need a couple of things though so I'm planning to go at 6:00 a.m. tomorrow morning.

We got our first nice snow storm the day after Labor Day this year. We've gotten several good dumps since then. This Monday we woke up to 6 inches and got a few more. Today was 61 degrees and it is almost all gone. We never seem to get snows that last more than a few days. I walk every day and have only worn a jacket about 20% of the days this winter. I am no longer impressed with Colorado snow other than we've had it as early as Labor Day and enough in late May to cause a late start the day before the kids got out of school for the summer. Mother Nature has a great sense of humor.

We just got 10-12" Monday/Tuesday--this storm would barely be a blip on my radar if they weren't throwing around the words rain & ice before mentioning another couple inches of snow...give me another 12" before any ice! At least this will be over the weekend so we won't have to worry about "will they/won't they" regarding cancelling or delaying schools.

Rain? Ice? Snow? Wintery Mix? Depends on what TV station or weather app you follow. Early this week our local weather people predicted a big snow & ice event. They hyped it up for a week in advance. We got mostly rain with a little ice. Needless to say, those weatherman are not so popular right now.
I’ve heard we are supposed to get 6-10 inches of snow. Or 3-5”. Or A trace. Or maybe rain. They really have no idea. It’s getting annoying and boy are they hearing about it on their Facebook pages. I wish they would just say that it’s far too early to predict and that they will keep us updated. Enough with panic endusing, grocery store shelf emptying hyperbole.

My area is right on the edge between the three inch band and the six inch band of snow. But we could get rain or sleet or freezing drizzle. We already have the 5-6 inches we got earlier this week, which is on top of the frozen ice/snow layer that’s been here for weeks. I’m hoping for no ice!

Who knows what we will get here. Forecasts have been WAY off lately. Like 20 degrees off. Then we had been under a winter storm warning with up to 6" of snow expected and got a very slight dusting. Now we are under a winter storm advisory for this one with ice and up to 2" of snow expected but who knows. I don't trust anything forecast lately. I just pray we don't get any of it (especially ice) because hubby has to drive in it. lisae have you seen the latest forecast?

Weather channel 1-3 inches snow and some sleet. You're right in that it is hard to predict. This sounds like a borderline event. That one Friday when it snowed all day, we had accumulation and a relative 10 miles southeast of me had no accumulation. My little 4 year old cousin was so disappointed he didn't have any snow to play in :-(

Not worried....I am in western NY....old hat at this point This is where I’m at, in MA. It’s currently 6*f and we’re supposedly getting 12”-18” of snow starting Monday. My threshold on snow is super high since the year we got 100in of snow. Good Lord that year it started late January and it was non-stop snow and I was stressed about where to put it and then worried about ice damns. So a storm here and there I can deal with. Stay safe and warm everyone

Here it is supposed to start as rain, then change to ice before we get snow. And by Sunday night back to ice. Give me all the snow over ice. My offices are packed with appointments today. Tomorrow they will all be dead because of the weather.

We are supposed to get a little bit of snow-2-4 inches, so no big deal. My question is-when did they start naming winter storms? Maybe it was years ago and I missed it. But this storm has a name-Orlena(hope I spelled that right).

I remember trying to snow blow the driveway, but the snow banks were so high that the snow blower couldn't fling the snow over them.

I was so stressed out because I couldn’t physically throw the snow high enough when shoveling! Add to that the threat of ice damns. I remember the last pile of snow didn’t melt until July....and it was on the news . So 1 storm 12”-18” I can deal with but when it’s that amount of snow every couple of days, nope.

Here in MD I’m in the 6” x 12” range. Looking forward to the snow. Hoping no ice and that the power stays on.
