Welcome to the back to the 2021 Organized 2PeasRefugees scrap challenge. It does not matter where you are in your journey of organizing you are welcome to join us and do a little or do a lot! Find a system that works for you and your space. How do you scrap and shop your supplies? Is your space tiny or a whole room? Do you live where there special considerations such as flooding or dust? There is not one way that is better than another, just what is best for your style and needs!
This challenge is to encourage you to work towards a more organized crafting life, so that you can find what you purchased when you want to use it!
If you are on a team for the team challenges you can claim 10 points for each hour spent. The time does not need to be consecutive. Bonus of 1 point for each before and after photo. The following tasks will count towards the crafting organization:
• Cleaning up after your latest crafting session (ie desk before, desk after)
• Scrubbing or vacuuming the floor in your space. Dusting your space (I live in the desert next to a dirt road and own four German Shepherds so this is a regular event )
• Organizing a supply or completely re-doing your entire space.
• Sorting, editing, backing up, or ordering photos.
• Setting up page kits for photos or organizing the ones that you get as a monthly subscription with photos.
• Essentially anything that is related to crafting that needs to be done to “spark joy”! (I’m not necessary a huge Marie Kondo fan . . . but she does have some good ideas!)
Now for the BONUS NSBR CHALLENGE for February. Organize your bathroom cabinets at 20 points per hour. Not that mine are super unorganized, but they do need a good cleaning. A week or two ago I finally decided to throw away some eye shadows that were easily more than 15 years old! ACK!
So ladies and gents, let’s earn a few points doing what we need to do anyway and get organized! grammadee

The BONUS CHALLENGE for the month is ribbon, thread, twine, fibers, and washi tape . . . 20 points per hour spent on this particular set of supplies. One place to find inspiration is 7 Clever Ways to Organize Ribbon, or of course Pinterest has a ton of ideas. Several years ago, I spent a couple of days winding my ribbon to fit into Best Craft Ribbon Dispenser storage containers and have enjoyed using them this way. I was also able to empty 2 large drawers in my storage stacks and reduce the amount of space it takes to store my ribbon. However, I always had to dig through 3 layers in the storage bags that came with the containers.
So, I’ve switched it up by changing containers so I am to my 3 moves to get what I want!
My thread, twine, and Fibers are also easy to find. Washi tape is fine in the container from Michaels purchased 2 years ago. My Personal goal is to get the “scrap ribbons in the jars" incorporated into one of the systems in place. I even save ribbons that come wrapped around clothing, it’s a nice wide grosgrain ribbon that might make it onto a layout or something!

Here are some ideas for organizing your bathroom, and might I suggest you NOT try to do it all in one go? Maybe one drawer or cabinet a week? Better Homes and Gardens has some ideas here. One Thing by Jillee is another good website for all kinds of ideas, here is the link for her bathroom organization ideas. Of course Pinterest has an entire board of ideas as well.
