Let's begin with this month's SPECIAL challenge:
28-4-28. There will be a new challenge posted in its own thread each day this month. The minimum points you can earn will be ONE point for meeting the challenge. If you include the TWIST, you will earn an additional point. If you do both on one project, you earn a bonus of FIVE points. Read challenges carefully. There may be additional points available. Please share your takes in the individual 28-4-28 challenge threads.
There is also a
completion BONUS of 50 points for completing ALL 28-4-28 challenges by end of day, Friday, March 5th.
Now we will move on to the REGULAR MONTHLY CHALLENGES. Please share your creations for each of these in the individual challenge thread. Points will outlined in each.
R-1: Sketchy Saturdays. Complete any of the posted Sketchy Saturday challenges for 5 points. Complete ANY THREE of them for a 20 point bonus.
R-2: Monthly Photo Challenge. Points for shared photos and using those pic's on projects. Possible Theme bonus points each month.
R-3: Donna Challenge, posted by
myboysnme . This month, there is a twist. Since February is all about love, and Valentine's day, the challenge to
use eyelets, brads, or other stash embellishments to make a heart on your page. In fact, if your embellie is heart shaped, you get double points! So if you do not have eyelets or brads, use enamel dots, sequins, gems, whatever you have to use on the page you create. Now there is no limit to the size or amount of hearts you make.
You get one point for EACH item you use to make it. So if your heart shape uses 30 gems to make a heart shape, you get 30 points! As always with the Donna Challenge,
one point for every photo you scrap, since Donna really wanted to get her photos scrapped. Please share in the Donna challenge thread.
R-4: Organization Challenge, posted by

R-5: Other Crafts Challenge, Earn TEN points for every hour spent crafting. When you finish a project of ten hours or more, give yourself a BONUS of ONE HUNDRED POINTS! Post your completed projects in the

LIST of CHALLENGE CATEGORIES:
"PRODUCTS" (like chipboard. thickers. stickers. metal. glittery things. nuvos. enamels.) ***Note: choose something you have lots of and want to use this month. That way you get to add points every time you use them For points, you can suggest one point IF you use the item, or one point PER item, or a set bonus for a certain NUMBER of items (like five bonus points for using 10 or more sequins...)
P-1 WOOD you be mine? Earn a point for using woodgrain pp anywhere on your project, and one point for each item of wood or wood veneer.
P-2 Flower Power - Valentine's Day = Flowers. Take a point for each different type of flower you use on your project eg. floral paper, fabric flower, die cut flower, flower sticker etc.
P-3 All Tied Up - Use ribbon, twine, string, thread, wool on your project. 1 point for each different type. Bonus point for tying it in a bow.
P-4 Make it shimmer and shine! Use anything that adds that extra sparkle, glitter, glitter paper, glitter washi, gems, Stickles, Liquid Pearls, PearlEx, Glitter embossing powder, you get the idea! Five bonus points if you use more than one type of product on your project.
P-5 Stickers - 1 point per package/sheet of stickers that makes an appearance on your project
P-6 Getting Misty for you - use mist on your layout. 1 point/colour
P-7: Naked Chipboard. I'm not sure if anyone has any of this around anymore, but I do and I can't seem to purge it. So let's use it. 1 point per piece used.
P-8: The newer the better. You had to have it, now use something from your latest purchase.
"SHAPES/ICONS" (hearts, hexagons, cameras) The shapes might include embellishments, photos, mats, pages or cards. Icons include any image on pp, diecuts, stamps, etc that you are challenging us to use: like "hearts" or "cameras" or "animals" or even "random", for example.
S/I-1 Cupid's Arrow - Use arrows or chevrons on your project
S/I-2 Use those die cuts, either purchased, from your e-machine, or the good old fashioned hand-made die cuts or punches. One point for each different shape.
S/I-3 HEARTS of course! What would February be without hearts? 1 point for 3 hearts (not including on a patterned paper)
"COLOURS/MOODBOARDS"C/M-1: Permission to use PINK! Love it or hate it, use pink anywhere on your page or card or other project and earn one point. For a 2 point BONUS, use pink AND chocolate! If you need inspiration, take a look at this one from
The Card Concept. Now, stop drooling and start crafting!
C/M- 2 Monochrome. Use only one color. You can use a range of shades. 1 point for each different shade
"TECHNIQUES" (like stamping, tearing edges, die cutting, sewing, clustering)
T-1 Edgy - Use one of these edging techniques on your project: torn edge, curled edge, folded edge, distressed edge. Take one point for each technique used.
T-2 Stamp away! Use your stamps to embellish your card or layout. One point for each different stamp.
"WORDS/ Titles" (like journaling challenges, using certain letters or words in your title or on your page, etc.)
W/T-1 Fontified - Use two or more different fonts / letter styles for your title. Take a point for each different font / letter style used over one.
W/T-2: The month of LOVE - 5 points - use the word LOVE or LOVELY in your title. 1 point - use the word LOVE on a phrase sticker or in your journaling.
W/T-3: Use your F words... like FUN, and FROSTY, and Favourite, and February, and Fresh, and... One point for every letter F you use in your title, greeting, or journaling.
"THEMES" (birthdays, anniversaries, pets, outdoors, seasonal, vacations, etc)
Th-1 Galentines Day - Celebrate friendship with a layout about your BFF, or make a card to send to your BFF.
Th-2 Get sporty! Scrap layouts about sports, either your participation or someone else. Bonus point for traditional winter sports such as skiing, playing in the snow, sledding, Cross country skiing, or indoors such as wrestling or Basketball. And yes Cheerleading and Dance photos count as sports! (Former cheer and dance coach for HS speaking here!)
Th-3 Scrap ANY Holiday. Get caught up on those layouts from past years for Thanksgiving, Christmas, 4th of July (or your country's national holiday), Easter, Mother's Day, Father's Day and so on. Bonus point if the holiday was in 2020 and you document how it was different due to Covid.
Th-4 Keep the MEMORIES in focus! 5 points for scrapping OLD photos (>10 years) or BAD photos - so many times I want to get the memory in my book, but the photography was so bad I haven't got around to it!
Th-5: Pets - Let's see those babies. Cats, dogs, rats, whatever. 5 points Add 5 points if you include you in your pictures
"NUMBERS/SIZES": challenge us to use extra large or extra small photos or titles or other elements, use numbers on the project or a specific number, OR a specific number of layers, or clusters or other items. (Don't forget that ZERO is a number, so "Look Ma, no pp!" fits into this category.
N/S-1 Just the 2 of Us - Create a layout using two photos. If it's a double page layout, only two photos per page.
N/S-2 Make it small! Use photos smaller than 4" x 6" (or your national equivalent). One point per smaller photo.
N/S-3 1. Count on it: 5 points for using any NUMBER in your
"RECIPES" (This might include a spelling challenge, like "Use all the letters in the word JANUARY in your title", or "Use items that start with all the letters of WINTER on your project", OR any specific combination of elements)
Re-1: A recipe for love - 5 points. No cheating!
1. use YOUR FAVOURITE colour
2. use YOUR FAVOURITE manufacturer
3. use a FAVOURITE PROJECT (your own, or something you have pinned maybe?) and scraplift/cardlift it
4. scrap someone you LOVE, or make a card for someone you LOVE!
"OTHER" (using kits. scrap-lifting. cardmaking. spending)
O-1: Share the LOVE! Earn ONE point for every FIVE comments you make about other people's creations in the Gallery or in any of this month's challenge or sharing threads.
O-2: Copycat - Scraplift a layout that you've seen in a magazine or online. Bonus point if you scraplift a Pea.
O-3 No spend February. I don't know about you but my scrap budget went way over the last two months. Ten points for each day you refrain from purchasing anything crafting related. (If you have a monthly club subscription already paid for you still get to count that day as a no spend day.)
O-4 Use up those page kits, and club subscriptions.
O-5 100 Day Project challenge: take 5 points per day that you do your 100 day project activity (whatever that may be).
Add 1 point each day you share your work on the 100 day challenge thread or in the Feb sharing thread.
If you do your project every day this month, great job! Double your points.
O-6 Do what you're told--Or not... Five points if you create a kit page or other project following kit instructions closely. TEN points if you use the kit, but change up the result.
O-7: Get together! Online/ In person crops = 10 points for each hour you spend cropping with others.
O-8 ORDER UP! One point for each photo printed (even if you do your own), Double points if you are a regular Costco print user and are going nuts trying to get a bunch of photos printed before they remove the photo print centers on Feb 14th!
