If you can knit and purl you can do it, truly. It’s just counting after that. I can’t wait for restrictions to be lifted so I can go swanning around in it! |

I have solved the button problem! Scrapbooking supplies to the rescue. During the night, it occurred to me that I have many buttons in my stash so this morning I found the box and came up with a solution. Not enough of any one colour, but plenty of the same type, in suitable colours.  I actually think it looks nicer than what I had planned. |

That looks perfect sueg! I know exactly what you mean gillyp! When I wear my skull shawl or my buddha shawl I get loads of comments. So prepare for that. People love to come up and look at the details of those two shawls. And I'm sure you'll have the same reaction to your bat shawl. |

It's Saturday! Yay! In Michigan we are buried in snow and expecting more. It's pretty darn cold right now. I have a cupboard full of food and no reason to go outside. So it's crafting all day.
I exceeded my goal for the 100 day project and now I am settling in to work on my Christmas blanket. What is everyone else up to this weekend?

Beautiful projects! Thank you to each of you for sharing them. It’s so motivating. I got more organizing done in January than quilt projects done but that is OK. I had hoped to be more involved in these threads too, but there is always this month, right? LOL On my wall: this charity quilt. I hope to get it all sewn together this weekend. I was gifted a very large stash of squares and came up with this quilt. I have enough squares for two more.  |

I read daily (or more than once a day). I love all the pictures and the relationships you all have. I am going to do some canning today I think. My gentleman caller likes the dilly beans I made last fall. I will whip up a batch of those today. After that I will continue to work on a couple of quilts that are WIP. One is a flannel quilt that I swear will be the bane of my existence. I have had many issues with it and have put it in the naughty corner several times. The other is the quilt that never ends. I finished it several years ago and for whatever reason decided to hand quilt it. Seriously, what was I thinking? Hand quilting flannel?  I really enjoy hand quilting but OMG my hands get so tired and it is sooooo tedious. Enjoy your projects on such a cold, wintery Saturday. |

The weather here is gorgeous. Sunny, warm. I should go outside and do something. Instead I’m chain stitching days of the month together in order so I can find the days I need and put them where they go. I started with August 11, 2011 and am up to February 2012. Only need to go to August 10, 2012. I hope to get most of my months chained up this weekend and in tidy month piles.
I have a friend who is going to embroider the months on the black/white squares but I need to get her a large enough chunk of fabric to hoop and get in her machine so I’m going to be doing a Frankenstein assembly of this darn quilt. I have to basically do a 9 square so she can hoop it up so I’ll work with large chunks and assemble around it.
I’m bringing the school Maker home over next weekend to cut the fabrics for my raw edge appliqué blocks so I can just add those as I come to them,

Makes my hand hurt just thinking about it! I know what you mean about hand quilting, though. It's just so beautiful and special. I hand quilted a twin sized Double Irish Chain years ago and it took forever ( two decades) and I almost gave up on it. I did end up machine quilting the borders just to finally get it finished. |

I'm trying to catch up, with organizing and making it homey from moving and then promptly breaking my shoulder. It's healing and I am trying to put off making a further mess crafting until I get there. SLow going. So I until then am getting my fill looking at peas' stuff.
@patter I love your temp blanket. I've only seen the done in lines ones and this is a nice spin and the different temps/days are definately more distinct

Not enough of any one colour, but plenty of the same type, in suitable colours. I actually think it looks nicer than what I had planned. I have a ton of buttons and was going to offer to send you some (from the US) but your solution is perfect. The varying button colors goes with the bright and happy stripes—it’s perfect! I absolutely love it and I’m sure a sweet little girl who is enamored with her grandmother will love it too! |

When I was at my son's home one day however, I found my quilt covering the dog kennel. Needless to say, no more quilts for them until they learn to appreciate the work that goes into them. |

Pre-Covid I was making 2 quilts a month for a friend to pass out at her cancer treatment center but the center doesn't allow that at the moment. Prior to that, I was sending quilts with a friend's Mom to pass out at the dialysis center. The above quilt will go to an organization that travels worldwide to operate on children in need of cleft palate surgery. After surgery each child is given a quilt in the recovery room. I am curious what others do with their quilts, thanks for asking! |

We have a quilt that covers our large dog kennel that was made by my husband's aunt. It has large squares with dogs on them. If it wasn't covering the kennel it would be in a closet. This makes the dog kennel look better. Now I feel kind of bad. My intentions were good. I swear! |

DEX my dog has her very own crochet blanket made by me! I finished the gifts section on my Christmas blanket. If you remember I'm going a bit out of order now as it wasn't pleasing to my eye as written. 2 more sections to go!
