My friend had a birthday and she loves the Big Bang Theory so I made her a Rubix Cube Tissue holder like Sheldon's I'm also working on a prayer shawl for a lady at our church.

Wow, you all are creating some beautiful things here. Awesome job!!!! I am working on greeting cards, new YouTube videos and other papercraft projects. I would like to start a new crochet project if I can find the time between all my fun crafts.

I caught up DD14's scrapbook. I hadn't scrapped in 6 months. I run the book from her birthday to the day before the next birthday, then print it. I like to print it soon after and her birthday is next week so I thought I better catch up. I create digitally and print with Blurb. I spent Sunday catching up, and I am. Definitely with all the cancellations due to COVID it is a thinner book, but I'm still pleased. I have been keeping up with my temperature blanket. And I am taking a monthly online "Building Blocks" class - where you learn one block each month (I'm going to do 2 each month). That class is tomorrow. And I just finished this Soho Shoulder Crop Top for DD's 15h birthday. I haven't blocked it yet, so hoping the small irregularities will come out. Excited to give it to her next week!

lainey I always love all of your socks. Where do you store them all? Thank you At the moment they're all squished in a drawer in my wardrobe, I want to get a nice basket or box to put them in but I want to go to an actual shop to get it and that won't be for a while yet.

MichyM here you go. This is one triangle. I just have 6 rows left on this one. It goes super fast. You can see how I am getting into the darker blues now from the skein. I can't wait to see how it looks once I get to the 2nd triangle. Oh that’s great, and very helpful to see, thank you! I’d love to see it again as you progress. I need to sit down and make a decision about exactly what the baby blanket i want to try so I can get the yarn ordered and be ready to roll once I finish the current blanket.

My latest socks, they're so soft and comfy and they don't match!
Love these! They look like they would coordinate with sueg ‘s beautiful cardigan

I could totally see them in a crocheted basket like I posted a few months ago. One of those would be perfect. They’re super easy to make, do you crochet? And, you wouldn’t have to worry about your socks snagging on basket edges.

I second this! I love their choice of colors for baby blankets. I’ve made some of them, and the directions are good too. I’ve been distracted from crafting by my new found love of playing Animal Crossing, but I have made a start on a Sophie’s Universe blanket: As always, I love looking at all your beautiful works.

You know we have noticed before that we pick a lot of the same projects....well, I started Sophie's Universe last year, I put it down to do the Queen Cal. I love the bright colours and I had enough in my stash to put a kit together, the same kit as you!! Extra bonus is that I bought the book and it uses the same colourway so it's easy to work exactly which round you are on. I'm at the end of part one, the blue just before the squaring up begins. If you come across other great projects be sure to share, I'm sure I'll love them!

I used the last of my Christmas Wool Warehouse voucher yesterday, £50 (70-ish dollars) of sock yarn will soon be winging it's way to me. I'm not sure how the new Brexit customs charges will affect ordering yarn from the UK so I wanted to use it before they kick in.

lainey or anyone inclined to help me out please with something that is probably obvious but... I have downloaded a pattern to knit a shawl but want to clarify the instructions please. The bit about using 2 strands and 1 strand for casting on...does that mean knit like that throughout or is that for fringing? And what does 'twisting the yarn' to avoid holes mean? Please and thank you link

And if you want something even more simple, a shell afghan is great. I have made countless ones for baby gifts. Here are a few I have done. It's been kind of my "go to" baby blanket. I will link a simple YouTube video also. www.youtube.com/watch?v=1_5pHBcVhuU&t=199s

It does, thank you. It's hard to see from the pictures what those instructions mean, I had a look on Ravelry but there are no projects or comments for clarification. The only thing I can think she means about twisting the yarn to avoid holes is to knit into the back of the stitch, I do that on the gussest of my socks and it tightens the stitches so that there's no gaps. I'm really not sure about the cast on instructions though.

Ok, thank you Can't decide whether to wing it a bit or find something else

I’m taking an online weaving class and I’m obsessed. I have been collecting yarn and fabric remnants to use for weaving and did two pieces so far. I can’t seem to stop.

I received my Valentine's bouquet!! I planted the bug for my husband but he bought it and had a nice message sent. I love the purples. The only thing I didn't know is that the Waroo shawl is two sizes. There is a small size and a large size. I would prefer to make the large because I tend to crochet tightly. And I'm unclear whether the bouquet has enough yarn to do so. The skeins are untagged so I'm not sure if the yardage. I have sent a message to Jimmy Beans this morning inquiring. If I don't have enough I will order another skein.

The yarn labels were in the vase under the yarn but on top of the filler if I remember right.

disneypal I feel like we haven't seen you on the craft thread in forever! Glad to have you back. Thanks - I have been crafting but just haven't been posting much lately - kind of took a break due to all the politics and stayed off line a lot the past 6 months (not just 2 peas but took a break from online in general until political stuff calmed down a bit). I missed the craft thread and am glad to be back. Here are a few things I made over the past few months
