They have the breast cancer ribbon on them. So I assume it is a reference to boobs. Haha It's a reference to the Knitted Knockers organization that provides knitted breast prosthesis for breast cancer patients. Well I did not know that. What a wonderful charity. Now I feel as though I should order more.

So... I've been working on the temp quilt for my DD. Progress has been made. Pattern has been redone a few times. I have to add a border because I THOUGHT my HST would finish at 4.5" but they're finishing at 4" instead so... yeah. Enter border. Here's where you all come in.... I can't decide if I should add the border with a solid black fabric (I have some Kona and will need to get more) or with the swirl fabric in black that I used on the rest of the quilt (need to get more). Also, should I do it in strips (will have to sew yardage together because I'm not about to buy 88" worth just to cut 4 4.5" wide strips!) or cut squares, sew together to keep the seams all the way out to the edges? The "month" blocks are done and ready to go to my friend to machine embroider the months/year on them. I need to do my temperature scale- waiting on her to le me know if she wants me to sew it all together in a strip or if that's too much for her machine to move around. It's going to be 88" long when I sew all the pieces so... yeah. Anyway... pics of progress made. Love what you’re doing! I think a black Kona inner border would set the quilt off nicely. Are you also piecing an outer, larger, border? I wasn’t sure if that’s what you were doing with the rectangles? And, I’m big believer in the pieced back and that’s what I’d do with all the extra yardage. Looking forward to seeing the blocks once your friend is done embroidering them. Emelle

Thanks to all who have posted photos as I LOVE seeing all the work and live put into all these projects. Gorgeous, one and all! We gave been having online girls' nights in lieu of our usual IRL crop nights. This past Friday I painted a sign on an old, chippy door panel I rescued from a burn pile. I plan on using it on the wall above the stairs with the Mixtiles I purchased once I get around to hanging them. First I have to buy a ladder and then probably get my DS' assistance so don't hold your breath for that. Keep the photos coming!♥️ http://instagram.com/p/CLOJsK5AlqZ

Here is something small and quick I did. I think I will keep small scissors, crochet hook, etc., in here for whatever my current project is.

January and the first 12 days of February for my temperature quilt. I'm thoroughly enjoying this project. It's easy to do and fun to see how it's taking shape. This is the February block for the murder mystery block of the month. Also a fun project, although afraid that my fabric choices will look ugly all put together when I don't know what the finished quilt will look like. Emelle

My Flexiflips arrived this morning and I've been having a little play with them, I'm so used to magic loop now that it's difficult to remember the order in which to use the three needles. They're going to take a lot of practice I think.

I love knitting cables and this is similar to a sleeveless top I made myself in my (cough) teens. Same colour too! It was called a tank top in those days but I think the name means a different garment now.

I love that sueg. And a funny from my staff meeting this morning. It was via Zoom, and I thought I saw my boss pull up some yarn on a crochet hook. I texted her as someone else was talking, and I said "Are you crocheting? I have always wanted to crochet during out meetings." She said "Yes, I am, and you should!" LOL! So, I screen-shot that text, and I officially have permission to crochet during staff meetings. LOL!

sueg that is going to be a very smart looking sweater. Like something gorgeous I could get away with wearing at work. @patter that is cute about crocheting during meetings. I admit I don't usually do it during my tiny unit meetings. But big staff meetings, I do. You guys are not going to believe what I did. I posted my Happy Tree Blanket parts and pieces and the skeins to go with them to my local craft group and offered to give it away. I just could not get the wherewithal to make that project happen. And I know this is absolutely going to sound snobby but here goes...it didn't challenge me so it felt like a slog. I just couldn't get up the appetite for it. So I would rather see it in a good home being loved than sitting in my bin driving me insane.

It took me almost as long to post this photo as it did to make this quilt! My poor dh had a hard time posing on this blustery day. This is all from scraps.
This is beautiful!

jeremysgirl , that's funny about your Happy Tree. See I LOVE easy. I like mindless crochet now. I used to do the challenging stuff but no longer. I have no patience to sit and read, re-read, understand, etc. I love stuff I can memorize, hold a conversation, or watch TV and still crochet without thinking about it. My days of "challenge" are over. LOL!

I always like to challenge myself (not always successfully!!) with my projects, I don't like standing still with anything and sometimes easy projects feel like that. I've just added this to my 'to make' list Painting Honeycombs I've been wanting to try a Stephen West pattern for a while now.

My days of "challenge" are over. LOL! It's funny @patter because this was a recent development for me. I did simple stuff for years and years. But now that I keep getting exposed to more and more fun stuff, my list of projects I want to do just grows and grows. Most of the time, I sit alone and crochet, especially now during covid that my group is no longer meeting. And I don't watch TV either. So I can focus solely on my project. I like to put in earbuds and listen to music while I crochet. I really think for me, though, it is about level of exposure and finally branching out. I've been crocheting for 20 years now. When I started, I had to learn from a book. I didn't have ravelry and videos and message boards, not to mention that everyone seriously needs an enabler like JoP and gillyp in their life. I'm sure it's nothing more than a phase I'm in right now. I've been watching jop work on Sacred Space and that's been on my wishlist for like forever. And hers is coming out so beautiful. So I keep thinking, why am I working on a blanket that I don't really want when my heart would rather do something else? I'm finishing up the Christmas blanket first, I have two more sections and then the border to go. And I would much rather work on that one. I have enjoyed the Christmas blanket immensely. I will definitely do another mosaic blanket. It's really to each their own. I'm happy seeing everyone's makes. And I'm so glad for this hobby. It's such a relaxing way to spend my time. I love to see what everyone is up to.

Apologies for the size of that picture, I can't work out how to resize on ImgBB. Also ignore the bottom of my jeans, I'm trying to gauge how much I need to take them up
