I thought either yellow or pink too so I'm really satisfied with this colour. It's going to blend really well for a lot of the backgrounds I do. I still think we'll see a yellow in the summer since we are definitely lacking in that area.

Im glad it's a colour that doesn't have a lot in it. Like the blues and greens and browns
I was so hoping for a grey though

Thanks for posting. I’ve been holding off placing an order with SSS, I wanted to see the color first. I like it, it fills a void so it’s getting added to my cart.

No, just NO! It says Pepto to me. Pepto was my first reaction. ETA not that I'm opposed to this color though. I think a pink pink is good.

I said it will be a yellow or light bright pink. So I guess I was right.

Kitch is a good word for it. My DH's grandmother's kitchen had this color on the laminate countertops and the matching laminate and chrome round kitchen table. The chairs were pink vinyl and chrome too. The rest of the kitchen had white cabinets and appliances with chrome fixtures. I can't remember the floor. We moved into the house for 6 months to get it ready for resale. I thought it was a cream colored kitchen at first, but after I started cleaning it, it revealed itself as a pretty white. I'm sure it was very stylish in its day.

I've definitely had some cleaning experiences like that recently... helping the FiL with all his STUFF.

I love it too! I’m a pink lover, and this was certainly one that was missing. I went with the entire bundle on Speckled Egg, and I will do the same with this one.

I have just started looking at homes for our upcoming move this spring and right out of the gate I found this sweet little slice of 1964 that is untouched by time. The master bathroom is completely tiled in this shade of pink and by gosh am I smitten (WHO AM I??? I have NEVER loved pink) Anyway, I feel kind of ambushed by this distress color - but I guess I'll have to buy it because I doubt that the house will be on the market by the time I get my ducks in a row.

I appreciate the examples. Love it in the grunge look with browns. Also the navy and pink card was fabulous.

We were taking guesses here in this thread: link My guess was a pastel pink. Close enough for me. I added it to the Scrapbook.com order that was waiting in my cart and clicked the button about an hour ago. I think it's a very pretty pink. Although I'm not a big fan of pink, I was really hoping for one to add to the Distress palette that is darker than Spun Sugar but lighter than Picked Raspberry.

I’m generally not a fan of using pink in my scrapbooking, but this is the shade of pink that I like. Vibrant and clean. Not the muddy, dingy, salmon-pink we’ve been seeing everywhere for so long. I hope this ushers in a cleaner pink and away from the muddy pink.
I was hoping for yellow or gray (you know, Pantone colors of the year and all...)

Here's a comparison w/some of the other pinks: I can't ever judge w/o seeing it in context w/other colors. I like it. But the oxide (bottom row) looks a lot like victorian velvet to me (the oxide pulls toward lavender).

I'm not a big pink fan, and tend to prefer the warmer pinks in small doses, so Worn Lipstick is still a better bet for me. Was really hoping for a burgundy/plummy red, or maybe a warm, true yellow that isn't mustard

It isn't a colour that I am immediately drawn to, but it seems to be a colour that I am constantly trying to create by blending my various distress inks and paints, so I would agree that it definitely fills a gap. I think it will go well with a lot of collections that have been out there over the last few years...I'm looking at you, American Crafts.

I'm psyched! I'm excited enough that I'm going to buy the bundle so I can try out some of the other distress products I've never tried.
