Hi Peas and welcome to day #2 of a month long challenge celebration!!! Every Tuesday, I will be posting a recipe for you to follow in making a layout or card. I do not mind if you want to combine it with other challenges this month either! All my challenges will be based on activities my family has embraced with the past year's restrictions. 1. Outdoors activities 2. Virtual connections 3. Reading/TV/games 4. Cooking/Baking This week we will start with Outdoor Activities. layout get out feb 28 4 28 by kirstendrew, on Flickr Please use: 1. the colour GREEN2. Sunshine - use RAYS somewhere, of any sort (could be stitched, doodled, paper pieces, stamped, any size) 3. Outdoor icons - use butterflies, birds, flowers or clouds4. Grass or waves - use FRINGES, ZIG ZAGS or WAVES - they can be stitched, doodled, or die cut/punched/fussy cut 5. Fresh air - to keep myself from overcrowding this layout, I challenged myself to only use 3 of each embellishment I chose - I used 3 clouds, 3 hearts, 3 butterflies, 3 phrase stickers, and 3 enamel dots. To meet this part of the recipe, you need to use 3 each of 3 different embellishments
POINTS: This recipe is worth 5 points for challenge team members. The TWIST is to do an outdoors card, or an outdoors layout!

Can we please change your challenge to a scraplift one, so that I can scraplift this amazingly awesome layout?

schroema, I see the recipe in your layout! I like how you also used a sunburst background for the rays. I kind of wish I had made waves of swirls in the sky instead of fringing the grass on my card.

Here's mine. I was inspired by jeremysgirl 's left side sunburst ( your page is stunning! ). I brought out my big box of Shimelle, and I have 3 accent papers, 3 brads, 3 sequins, and 3 Nuvo drops. I'm pretty sure I have more than 3 die cuts in that mess of a cluster, but don't tell kitbop!

Beautiful page, jeremysgirl! Did you sewing machine stitch that VB pp to your LO? Left love for you in the Gallery, msliz . I have a couple of pages put together for this, but I have a question for kitbop . Do the 3 items I am clustering need to be the ones you listed? (I have some clouds in a corner). I have 3 clusters, each with a snowflake, an arrow and a heart. Will that work?

Do the 3 items I am clustering need to be the ones you listed? Absolutely not, and they don't need to be clusters either! Just 3 of any 3 items, anywhere on your page. Like 3 enamel dots. But not 5

Thanks for a fun challenge, love the recipe! Here is my LO. I wish I was talented enough to have created this, but it's a template, and all I had to do was add some paper and photos. Oh, and remove a whole lot of little birdies so there were only three to meet the recipe! Layerworks 1297 template by Tracey Thomson / Katie Pertiet Design.

As schroema says, AussieMeg , that page is STUNNING! Love in the Gallery. I had commented before on the pages, but missed your sweet card, jjpeapea. Love the subtle rays and the torn edges: perfect way to represent sun on grass.

Here is my take. Meant to add pom poms to the toques, but haven't figured out how, yet... Let's DO this (Building a sliding course} by Gramma Dee, on Flickr Realized that dd's jacket was green, so could use green mats on a winter LO. For "waves", I used some wavy landscape build-a-scene dies for snow drifts. Cut up a couple of 6x6 pp's for rays. Got some clouds up in the corner. And three clusters (including the title) across two pages which each have a heart, a snowflake, and an arrow. Twist: outside, for sure! Wasn't sure if "fresh air" might mean white space on a LO, so I left a surprising (for me) amount of open real estate here.
POINTS: two pages created & shared (4). 28-4-28 #2 recipe elements (5) plus twist (1) plus bonus for both (5), R-3 four pics for Donna challenge (4), P-1 Wood cloud, heart, and arrow (3), P-5 four stickers from 4 different packs (4), chipboard arrow (1), S/I-1 arrows (2), S/I clouds, mitts, toques, (3), S/I-3 three hearts (1), W/T-1 four fonts in my title (3),. Total: 36.

This was a fun recipe to follow. Thanks to Covid, Graduation was an Outdoors activity this year. I used green, sun rays, wavy doodle border, 3 each of flowers, clouds and birds. Graduation jjpeapea, you got all those recipe requirements in your card. That is wonderful. I am so impresssed! jeremysgirl, I love the rays on the side of your layout. It is just so sweet that a little bird came to keep you company and you took the time to take a photo and scrap it. It made my heart happy to read about it. Lovely page. msliz, I love the angles on your page. Sometime I am going to surprise you and tilt something! Those rays look like sun just lighting her way. I love your brads and fussy cut flowers. Beautiful, classy page. grammadee and AussieMeg, I'll catch you in the gallery.

nylene your page is so polished and I like how the sunburst makes us focus on this important occasion.

nylene, your page makes me so *comfortable*. All your pages are so well designed and easy to look at this way. It's gorgeous. This is *exactly* what I was getting at when I said "fresh air" as a component of my recipe grammadee - your "rays" make me think of broken ice - it's a fabulous interpretation! And the sun, mitts and toques are super cute! AussieMeg - who could *not* love that layout! It is exciting, fun, beautiful, cute, interesting - it ticks all the boxes! It reminds me SO MUCH in design of this one I did last year layout head over heels by kirstendrew, on Flickr and makes me want to go back and use it again (which I might do since I put that as part of the recipe challenge this month!)
