I hope no one minds me posting a thread, but I’ve noticed that a few of us are all attempting to be more present ourselves in our memory keeping.
So I thought it would be nice to have a thread where we put everything related to memory keeping about ourselves. A place to share inspiration, prompts and cheer each other on. I don’t expect a mega thread but just trying to gather ideas in one place. My ideas, your ideas, and links to inspiration.

Great idea! hop2, do you have the list of prompts she mentions in the video? Or do you have a list of prompts you think you will use? I have an All about ME sn@p album I started in February, and finished in October, but I also want to include myself in my 12x12 family scrapbooks as well.

I have not written them down as I’ve watched them I can see if she posted it anywhere. I just listen to her you tube when I’m working from home.

I'm thinking about doing a "currently" traveler's notebook for each month starting this month for my 50th birthday. I saw someone post this idea on a Facebook group I'm in and it's something easy to think of ideas so ease me into being more in introspective in my journaling.

Thank you. Those look both interesting and difficult or at least some of them look difficult

Thanks. I printed them off.
Another idea I saw somewhere is like an affirmation journal, where you use your strengths as prompts. And the cool thing about it, was it showed how you could actually turn around some of what other people describe as your weaknesses into expressing as strengths. For example, I am told I am STUBBORN. But I could do a page about my DETERMINATION! If I find the info in a linkable place, I will pass it on.

I like these ideas.
This year I've been kicking around the idea to do more pages about myself. Not even all deep ones. Just little tidbits here and there.
Ideas I might include:
100 songs I listened to this week
What my childhood looked like: jelly shoes, NKOTB, Ace Of Base, Vanilla Ice, Saved By The Bell, shirt clips, big hair, Avon sample size lipsticks, curfew when the lights come on, walking to the public pool every summer, 25 cent pay phone calls, ice cream truck summers, Teen Witch, Pee Wee Playhouse, Rainbow Brite, etc.
Movie marathon list: top 25 (50?!)
Stuff like that.

In my January notes I put in my 10 favorite things from the month. Silly things like TV show I'm loving (WandaVision), book (Atomic Habits), new mascara (Lancôme Lash Idôle). I'm hoping to keep up with it every month and include it in my PL albums. I think it will be a fun thing to look back on. I'm always amazed how I forget I was really into something for a while and then I completely forget about it.

scrappyem, a page like that periodically would really put YOU in your albums! Good job!

I jotted down an idea awhile back - a layout with one side with my traits I inherited from Dad’s side, both physical and mental, and then the same for my Mom’s side. They were born 1/2 a world apart so thinking of including the parts of each of their cultures that resonate with me, the foods I like to make, etc.

Of course no one minds you starting a thread! Start a lot of threads!
I am very present in my scrapbooks, but I don't scrap for myself anymore. All layouts go in someone else's book. When my mom and I go to the shore, I scrap twice and put them in my sons' scrapbooks. I hand off the camera, have no problem saying, "Take a pic of me..." since everyone has their phones attached to them anyway.
One way I get in pics with virtual communication is I take a screen shot when I talk to DS2 online, and I ask him to get one. Then I edit and print those photos and include them in his scrapbook. If you haven't already, then start capturing screen shots of your video conversations.
I put a box aside of my work history with an idea to scrap my years working. The thing is I scrapped many of those photos already so I may pull them, I may make copies, or I may just skip those photos in the work scrapbook. Now that is on the back burner but I have collected work related stuff, like the Office Hours collection.
I thought about doing a small album of my photos taken at crops. Again, I used to scrap them but haven't the last 5 or more years. I think that album would be fun for me to look at someday.

Great thread, hop2. I did a pretty big project after I retired. I worked 37 years for a heavy industrial contractor, retiring as senior project engineer. I kept a lot of notes about every project I ever worked on, so basically a rough scrapbook. I turned it into 2 12x12 albums. I did a lot of journaling about my memories of projects, frustrations, etc. I included pages of memories of some wonderful mentors and what they meant to me. I think my kids understood what I did, but my grandkids just see me as grandma. I want them to know what I did in my career.

I've been using this planner . I haven't used photos though. Some weeks I use stamps, scrap supplies, nothing but a pen, or stencils. It has been very random.
One thing I like to do is go through my stamps and see if anything prompts me to write something down. Everyday Explorers, In a Creative Bubble, Kellie Stamps, and The Paper Person Shop work well for this. If I see any other companies I miss, I'll add those to this post.
What I can't figure out is what is worth recording. Concentrate on a week of recording things I'm grateful for or do it daily? Have one spot for currently loving... each week? Some weeks I'll write the weather for the week and use my stamps. Right now, it's just something to do when the idea of scrapping is overwhelming. I'd like to put some more thought into this. As of right now, I really don't care to keep what I have recorded because it is all over the place. I've even skipped weeks which is why I like using an undated planner.
I'm interested in reading this thread.

She's great at focusing on the process. I like her bullet journal videos. You can easily incorporate those ideas into memory keeping. I'd pay $20.00. Not for Becky.
