Today's challenge is to use diecuts that are all ONE SHAPE for your project. These can be punched with a punch, cut with a manual diecut machine, electronic diecut machine, fussy cut...Examples are circles, triangles, squares, diamonds, stars, hearts... TWIST: ELEVATE your diecuts. Examples are to use ink, distress oxides, spray mists, pen (Doodles, faux stitching...), thread, distressed edges... You will receive 1 point for the diecuts, and 2 bonus points for elevating those diecuts. Take an additional 3 bonus points if the diecuts are distributed within the layers of your papers. Total points for completing all items is 6 points. My layout example: I used circle punched diecuts, edged them in distress oxide, then splattered them with watered down oxide. I layered them throughout the paper layers. grammadee

All those layers! I love the texture you achieved!
After some deliberation, I picked out my photos for this challenge and the die I'm going to repeat. It took awhile to decide, but I got there.

Here is my die cut layout. Hoping the embossing on the leaves counts as elevating!

Here is mine. I cut all the larger stars with my Silhouette, inked their edges with Distress Inks and added Wink of Stella on many of their points after I had them placed where I wanted them. I didn't have very many layers to this layout, but slipped the stars on top and between papers. The Wink of Stella and white glitter stars don't show up in my scanner, but they look pretty in real life. Boo-tiful SwayzeeKikiPea , your layout is amazing. I can't believe all the layers you used and what a fun result you got. That photo is adorable. Thank you for this challenge. jjpeapea , I love the embossing on your leaves. It makes them look real and actually falling from the trees. I love the layering at the bottom. It couldn't be more perfect for a photo of raking leaves.

nylene was a lovely layout with the sweep of stars, and she is sooo boo-tiful. I just want to smoosh those little cheeks.

I’ve often wondered if scrappers still use Wink of Stella. I have a few myself, but never hear anyone talk about them. And, that photo is beautiful! Thanks for the love. It was fun to create!

nylene I was wondering about your scanner. Do you work in 8 1/2 by 11 so it fits on the scanner, or have a 12 x 12 scanner or use a program to stitch things together? I am disappointed in my photographs but flatbed scanners that are 12 x 12 are expensive and we're kind of out of room for a new device anyway.

Try that for taking pics. It works pretty well!

Like nylene pointed out, when you scan you do lose all your glitter and shine - like metallic washi, my shiny dragonflies from my card last month and so forth. Left is Autostitch, right is photo

Occasionally I take a photo if the layout is really bumpy, but haven't had good luck with photos. There is an iPhone app called Microsoft Office Lens. Try that for taking pics. It works pretty well! Thanks, kikipea. I will look into that.

Oh dear. Here is mine. DSO is going to kill me haha! I had to find a digital template and kit that looked like die cuts. Template by Cindy Schneider from the 'Half Pack 266 Framed 32' set, and the 'Denim Diva' kit by Jumpstart Designs.
