Friday's are mine this month, and my task is to come up with four challenges that will get us bashing our stashes. This week's challenge is to use up some of our stash of PL cards. To meet the challenge, use at least five PL cards on a page or card. We don't need to see the whole card: you can tuck it behind something else, or cut it up and use pieces!
The TWIST (at the suggestion of kitbop ) is to use a dark or coloured cs background. Earn 1 point for using the cards; one for the twist, plus a BONUS of 5 points for doing both!
Here is my sample. I tucked in whole PL cards around the photo, and cut some up for the journaling labels.
It also never hurts to use your stash of other items, too, and I pulled out some scraps and a bunch of flat and cb stickers for this one, plus a old flower and metal piece!
Have fun!

You mde a really fun page grammadee! There's so much going on, it's hard to choose a favorite detail. The mixed font "Quarantine" is really cool, and the rickrack trim, and is that an EYELET ? Wow. You mean business! I don't have a stash of PL cards to pull from, but I do have way too many 6x6 pads. I can cut up some pages from them to make some cards for my layout. Off to search for photos for tomorrow morning!

Oh my gosh, this is an amazing piece of eye candy grammadee! The POP off the black is amazing! I definitely need to use my PL cards, so this is a good one.

Love everything in this, the colours (I love brights on black), the title work, the journaling prompts. And especially the Tim’s reference !

Laughing here. I kept sticking things on to use the stash and it turned out kind of exuberant. How fun.

Love it, jjpeapea! So bright and cheerful, especially against that slate background. It IS fun, isn't it? Just grab and glue and pile on the scrappy goodness! Now that I have my PL card bin out, I am sticking them on and tucking them under everything!

jjpeapea I love how bright and fun that layout is! Especially the sunglasses peeking over the picture! Here’s my take based on this week’s sketchy Saturday. In full disclosure, I have no actual PL cards. I took a hiatus from scrapping when that was most popular. I do have one pad of journaling cards that I used and I cut apart a sheet of covid cards to complete this page. I bought one sheet of covid cards a couple months ago and was hesitant to cut into them - what am I saving them for? So parts of 3 of them made it on this page.

Great quarantine page, schroema. Cut aparts and journaling cards count too: anything that is meant to be used or could be used in those pockets! And WTG combining this with another challenge! Love the way you used that centre strip and the yellow mats to highlight the photos and separate them from the background.

jjpeapea , I giggled at your use of the term “exuberant”. It is the perfect description for all that fun color and eye-candy. I especially love the layering with various colors and patterns and those sunglasses are wonderful. schroema , I love the design of your page with a center element and bit and pieces radiating off from it. So many great word strips and cards you were able to use. This is really cute. Great documentation of this crazy time of Covid. This didn't turn out like I pictured, but I just kept adding cards. My PL card supply is very limited, so it became a very wild page. This sweet boy has done remarkable things and has such a strong work ethic. He is on the Autism spectrum and has learned so much about how to fit in since he graduated from High School. We are so proud of him and caught up with him at work to wish him Happy 22. Happy Birthday 22

This challenge is completely responsible for this page. 100%. So thank you! I cut apart PL cards to get the top/middle/bottom of the photo "matte". I cut out lightning bolts and the "frame" and the diamonds and the hearts and the "simply" and...you get the idea! I also started out with the "grid" challenge in mind. But my elements moved. So I'm not sure whether to claim that or not even tho it was a jumping off point! raddest by kirstendrew, on Flickr

Absolutely STUNNING page, kitbop! Love how you cut up those cards and went where you needed to go to work with that amazing photo! And just LOOK how that all pops against that black background! I knew you would use the cards in clusters; should have known you would take the challenge above and beyond!

kitbop I love your page and how you used your elements! Hey, I would count the grid just for the pattern in the dog.

Here's mine, using a Pink Paislee 6x6 pad in place of PL cards.

Love how you have used so many patterns, msliz, yet the page is completely tied together.

msliz, I keep buying 6x6 from my stamp company demonstrator because I love the patterns and then I keep not knowing how to use them. Your example is helpful. I love how your papers are different but coordinate so well, making for a pretty page. I gave my DH a home haircut a few months ago. Good thing hair grows back...

I didn't meet the twist and it was hard to get 5 project life cards on this but I did it! Mostly cutting elements from several. Crossed out NOT courtesy of grammadee Purrfect Day by Joyfulnana, on Flickr
