Tonight I'm having spaghetti leftover from Sunday night. Exciting, huh? What are you having?

nothing exciting for us either. Dh is out tonight, I pulled a Ziploc of homemade minestrone soup out of the freezer for the boys. I might have sautéed cabbage and a poached egg - odd combination I know

Leftovers, a choice of: beef stew, lasagna, or meatloaf. I'm not sure on sides, maybe bread??

We're headed to Fenton's, the best old-fashioned ice cream parlor on the West Coast after an airport run. I will have what I always have: a crab salad sandwich and a chocolate soda with coffee ice cream. Okay, maybe I'll get adventurous and have Swiss milk chocolate ice cream instead.

That sounds so good, Lucy. They just closed an iconic ice cream parlor - family owned for 60 years - here. So sad.
For us, I am not sure. Something with ground beef, but I don't know what. Maybe just hamburger patties.

Last night I made a pork loin recipe leannec had shared. It was absolutely delicious! I had a small bit left over today for lunch and my husband and son were fighting over it! Lol! They ended up having to split it. Tonight I am making chicken and shrimp stir fry. I was going to make gumbo but I have no okra. This'll be a quicker and easier dinner so it's all good!

Those crab sandwiches from Fenton's were my favorite too...way back in the day (it's been at least 20+ years and before the one in Piedmont closed--did it ever reopen?) But with a black & tan, or a jersey, black & white. Mmmmm, going to have to add Fenton's to my list of places to go for next visit to Nor Cal.
I'm by myself today so having these potato gratin things from Holland, along with cannelloni Bolognese (all bought). Soo tasty.

Well, it started out as pork carnitas tacos. But when I got home around 4:00 the crockpot was burning the meat. Grrrrr, I didn't put enough water in along with the salsa verde. Soooooo, I was able to save the pork and sliced it instead of shredding it. Roasted potatoes and mexi black beans.

Parmesan crusted chicken, smashed potatoes and ...some other veg TBD. And garlic bread. The kids have church activities tonight so my husband and usually go for ice cream on Wednesday while we wait. Its a nice little mid-week date for us.

It was kind of dying (quality, service, business slowing down) before the fire that closed it down. After that, I thought it would never reopen. But it did, after years of renovations, and it is fantastic again. Business is booming. oh, there's another one at the Nut Tree now, too. ETA when you come back, we could ditch the others and make a Fenton's run, ya know. Okay, maybe we'll let blueswede come, too. OKAY! and Andrea, too.

We had breakfast for dinner - sausage links, bacon, hash brown patties, sauteed mushrooms, tinned tomatoes and a poached egg. As proper a full English as I can make over here Yum!

Chinese take out. DH doesn't like Chinese food and he is traveling for work this week so we're taking advantage of his absence.
