Got a link to This PaperWishes Webisode this morning, and I loved the cards on the "Play Video" page. So simple, yet elegant. I know these videos are there to sell the specific products, but I was immediately imagining how I could use what I have to get a similar result.
I really need to have some sympathy cards on hand. So often we need them without warning, and more than one if we are sending to family members, and the hardest time to create them is when you need them.

I totally tried this with a circle stencil I have and distress ink I found (literally the 1st time I used them - had to take off the plastic wrap!). It turned out awesome. TFS.

Did you end up making something with this idea grammadee? It would definitely be easy to adapt with lots of different products and DIY stencils. The spotlight technique is relatively new to me. These are some pretty examples. And yes, sympathy cards are sadly something that need to be ready to go. My parents commented recently how many they have been using lately.

I'm going to look at the video too. I fell in love with Simon Says Stamps card kit, the dandelion one, and I'm going to see if I can use that stamp for this technique. Looks really cool!

I don't have stamps I could use, but I have dies that cut those pretty silhouette shapes. I'm going to try this too this month.

It was perfect timing to see this as I needed a sympathy card this morning. So easy to make, and striking to look at. Thank you for sharing.
