Washer, dryer, and stove are all 18 years old- bought new when we moved into this house. We had to replace the refrigerator bought at the same time about 5 years ago. We have just started talking about replacing the rest before we have problems with them, but I am also thinking the ones made back then might last longer than new ones??

Everything is just over a year old, we moved out of rented accommodation and had to buy it all from scratch! It was eye wateringly expensive.

Well, I can barely remember my kids’ birthdays. Luckily two of them were born on Christmas so that helps. I know my refrigerator is about eight months old, beyond that anything could be two years to 18 years old and I have no idea!
And just for reference, when my closet collapsed in November and I had to clean out all my clothes, I recognize clothes I’ve had for 30 years.☹️

My washer & dryer are 3 years old. My set that I had before this set was 28 years old and I bought them at a garage sale for $10 for the set. I used them for 19 years when the washer went out and we just changed them both.
My fridge is 10 years old and we plan on purchasing a new one this year.
Stove/Oven is two years old. Dishwasher is also two years old.

Washer 4 months old (replaced because 12 year old oven broke) Oven 8 months old (replaced because 12 year old oven broke) Dryer 1 year old (replaced because we knew it was on it's last legs) Refrigerator 2 years old (replaced our 18 year old fridge that was on it's last legs) Dishwasher 12 years old and probably the next thing to be replaced

Washer, dryer, fridge, range, dishwasher, installed microwave--all going on 9 years. We had to buy all new appliances when we moved into our current home, and all are still going strong. We bought them from Sears when they were doing a sale where the more you bought, the bigger discount you got. My DH worked for a builder, and we paid considerably less than we would have with his builder discount, plus we got a 5-year extended warranty on all of them.
Of course, that means they will all probably wear out at the same time. I'm not looking forward to that day LOL.

Not very old because we replaced them all when we moved in a little over three years ago. Stove, fridge, dishwasher, microwave, washer and dryer.
We also had to replace the water heater after a year. And while our furnace/AC system was still working it wasn't adequate for the house, we could never get it near cool enough. So we upgraded that after two years.
Very annoyingly we had to have our microwave repaired last month and replace a knob on our stove just last week!

Washer - 18 years Dryer - 18 years Refrigerator - Unknown (came with the house I bought. It's not new. I can tell the dishwasher was replaced b/c changed from black to stainless. The refrigerator is black, as is the over/microwave) My guess is they were new with the house, so 12-ish years? Dishwasher - 4 yrs
I keep thinking I want one of those 'pretty' washers and dryers everybody has....but mine work fine and isn't digital so less options to go wrong. It's basic, but realizing sometimes that is better! I'm just saving up cash b/c I know sometime fairly soon, I'll likely need to replace all the appliances (except for hopefully the dishwasher!)

We bought a new washer and dryer when we bought this house because the buyer of our previous house wanted the set we had there (she was getting divorced and starting over). They're now 8 years old. We had to fix a belt that slipped recently but they're still working fine.
We remodeled the kitchen a few years ago and replaced the stove and fridge and added a dishwasher. That was 3-4 years ago. We still have the fridge that came with the house. I'm pretty sure it was at least 10 years old when we bought the house so it's almost 20?
Now the microwave is a different story. I cannot remember where it came from. It has a manufacturer date from 1998 on it. It doesn't look great but it still works. The hand mixer is at least 20 years old. The toaster, 12? Slow cooker, also 12?

Everything in my house is 15 years old bought new when the house was built. My fridge just died last week, but they are going to replace the compressor and hopefully it will come back to life. I really don't want to drop 3k for one right now. I will be heart broken if my washer ever dies. It has the old school style agitator in it and gets my clothes really clean.

You win the sustainability prize! ETA: Atl least for materials. Energy-wise the newer appliances beat the old.

Washer and dryer are 20ish years old. Dishwasher is 18 years old. Refrigerator is 14 years old.
I REALLY want a new refrigerator, but there’s nothing wrong with the one we have and I won’t buy a new one just because.

Our washing and dryer are each at least 26 years old. We bought them when we bought our first home and before my youngest was a twinkle in our eyes. She's now 25. They do have their quirks, but DH always manages to find a YouTube video to walk him through a possible repair. We also have a local appliance parts store, Tribbles (no lie), that always seems to have whatever $5 part is going to keep them chugging until the next little breakdown.
Refrigerator is almost 20 years old as we purchased it when we moved into our current home right before 9/11. It's also got it's quirks.
Dishwasher is about 10 years old. The previous one broke right before the middle child's college graduation, so we were washing dishes by hand while cooking for almost a dozen visiting relatives. During one of those marathon dish washing sessions, my MIL, wistfully waxed eloquent about how she missed handwashing. I was exhausted and DH got the ultimatum that I wouldn't be waiting on his analysis paralysis to purchase a new dishwasher.
Oven is 5-6 years old. The older one had started doing this alarming beeping and would flash a weird code on the control screen. DH travels a lot for work and it never happened to him, so he was pretty dismissive of it until it happened to him and he finally realized something was seriously wrong when he found himself running out of the house afraid it was about to blow up.
As you can guess, replacement depends upon DH feeling there is no other recourse. As in, if the fridge broke and the weather was cold outside, he'd be putting food in coolers on the picnic table if he thought he could get away with it.

We built this house 10 years ago and the appliances were new. So far this year we've had to replace the garbage disposal, refrigerator and dishwasher all of which stopped functioning. The faulty garbage disposal also flooded our basement. All were GE products. :/ I'm in the process of deciding whether to repair the range (for the second time) or spend a few hundred more to buy a new one. Also GE. It's functional but the burner heating elements keep going bad. Our washer and dryer are 12 years old and the dryer also needs repaired. If given the choice, I would pay to repair it but finding a repair person right now seems to be like winning the lottery so we may end up buying one just to avoid the laundromat during Covid. At any rate, I am NOT a fan of the current lifespan of appliances, esp. GE. We did a lot of research and spent considerably more on the new refrigerator and dishwasher in the hope that they will last longer than 10-12 years.
Our toaster oven is 11 years old and works perfectly. The microwave is 10 years old (new with the house) and I've had it repaired once so far. It works very well and is the right size so it will probably be the lone appliance original to the house to survive this year.

I inherited my appliances when I bought the place. I think they're all original/first. The place was built in 2003/04 so that old. (18ish years). I'm thinking of replacing the washer and dryer as they seem to be on their last leg(s)
Takes too long to dry so I (we/DS helped) took apart and cleaned vents etc. OMG someone used too many bobby pins and they all ended up in bottom on dryer vent/hose. Dozens of them not to mention lint. After doing that, I noticed the jeans were wetter than should be after final spin. Belt was replaced and still not so good.
I was considering calling a repair person, but hard to find and I think perhaps it wouldn't be worth it for older, came with the place appliances.
When the weather brakes, I think I'll be hunting for new washer/dryer. Basic is good enough for me. I only use a couple settings anyway.

Easy to answer, brand new just replaced my fridge, range, and microwave during this remodel. Only the fridge is hooked up so far. They replaced 20+ year old appliances that worked fine so I passed them on to a friend. My washer is about 25 years old and the dryer is 3 years old. OH and I finally have a dishwasher after 25 years in this house.

So everything is around 17 years old, that’s how long I’ve been in the house. The washer, I just replaced, is 12 years old. My first washer, a Maytag, lasted 5 years. I’ll never buy another Maytag. My stove is 22 years old. I’m redoing my kitchen this year and have purchased new appliances. The only thing I’m keeping is my fridge which is going in the basement. Im sorry to hear your Maytag did not go a decent distance - very disappointing for you. Our washer is a Maytag which we bought in 1999. Still going strong but had an issue a couple of years ago and was told that the part that is a bit worn is not replaceable so we will have to replace the machine then We also bought a Maytag double door fridge at the same time in 1999 and it has had the repair man to it twice in that time for very minor issues. We will hang on to it until we need to change it. Our dryer is about 12-15 years old and is still going strong. It does not get used that often as mostly I line dry the washing and just use it to "fluff" the towels. Our dishwasher was new in 2007 and we replaced it in November 2020 as the control panel burnt out and it would have been uneconomical to replace the panel. We replaced the oven when we bought the house in 2007 and in 2018 had to replace it again after two new elements it still broke down again so it was time for it to go. The thing I seem to frequently replace is the iron. They certainly don't last as long as they used to.

My current washer/dryer set is 10 years old. I'll probably sell them when we move back to the USA (hopefully sometime this summer). I have 2 fridges - 1 is 12 years old and the other is about 30 years old. I'll sell both of those when we move back too (or give the old one away).

Everything is 12.5 years old because that’s when we moved into this house. It’s our first so we had to buy everything. Oh, except we just purchased a new freezer for the garage. The only issues we’ve had are with our fridge and washing machine. The drawer broke in the bottom freezer because we loaded it with way too much. Our fault. The washing machine, also an LG, has apparently had a leak from the bleach compartment and has been eating at the paint. And it stopped draining. So DH has been draining it manually several times a load. We have the part. Have for over a month. He’s just never in the mood to fix it. And how are we going to get around that dang ugly plastic tub it’s sitting in to help from flooding the house?
As far as other things that go from home to home...I started using Elfa products around 1991 and I still have all of the original pieces and they are in use and you can’t tell the difference between them and what I purchased 2 years ago.
