I haven’t scrapped or made cards for close to a year. I have a lot of Nuvo drops, all still good, and am wondering how they hold up on layouts. Do they flatten from the weight in an album? Do they dry out or crack on pages? Do you still love and use them? Thanks.

Yes, unfortunately they do flatten out with the weight of an album. kitbop and I were discussing that very problem just the other day. It's not stopping me though. I still love them and I'm going to keep using them. The colors have held up well. As for cracking, if you use them as just dots, they hold up. But I used them to fill in a circle, about 3/4 inch, and they cracked. So, not a good choice as a versatile dimensional paint. Tagging lilacgal, our resident Nuvo expert

Yes yes, I have found them to be flattening, although because it's a symmetrical flatten it doesn't bother me that much. They just get a flat top! I won't stop using them. But I've been trying to make my drops lower profile because of it.

I'm the resident Nuvo expert!! I'd do a happy dance but have forgotten how to insert gifs again. The Drops (any of them) will flatten out under weight. Even with my albums stored upright, the page protector alone puts pressure on them. That said, I still use them just like msliz. I don't believe my husband, daughter, or anyone else flipping through my albums is going to notice and comment. I'm actually ok with them flattening a little bit, especially those Vintage Drops that still like to give me Hershey Kiss peaks! One day, I will master those. As for cracking, I'm not had any Drops crack that have been used as dots, hearts, raindrops, and my attempts at stars. Pointy shape and round Drops...I keep trying though! I did do some tests when I first started to purchase colors. Anything bigger than a US dime has potential to crack. If it's bigger than a US nickel, it did crack. So, I just don't use them for big things if I don't want them to crack. I do still love and use mine. I need three bottles to have all the general release of Drops and varieties, and I'm on the hunt for the single Tonic Craft Kit exclusive color. One day, it will be mine! Btw...if you like purple, the Tonic Craft Kit 41 is on sale now (ships first week of March). It has an exclusive purple Vintage Drop that you'll only be able to get in that kit. It's soooooo pretty!! I'm going to have to up my Vintage Drops game so I can use them better.

Regardless of if you purchase through that link or not, the kit is gorgeous and totally worth it in my opinion.
