The challenge today is to use a pocket or pockets in your project. They could hold embellishments, memorabilia, photos, hidden journaling, notes or anything your imagination can think of. Digital friends could use the appearance of a pocket similar to the card example. The twist is to use repetition of images or elements in your project. A bonus point if a heart or hearts is peeking out of a pocket. 1 point for using a pocket or pockets, 1 point for repetition, 5 points for doing both and an extra point if a heart is peeking out of a pocket. Love your tags in evelopes and that balloon border, jjpeapea! That pocketful of love is cute, too. Hmmm.... I thought I had a pocket die...

Ooooh, this is exciting..... I have a few (digital) pockets that I would love to use. I just have to come up with a design.
Your layout is fab, I love the look of a set of photos on tags poking out of the pockets. That card is so cute too!

Thanks for a fun challenge! For this layout I used the 'Layerworks 868' template by Studio DD (which included the plastic pockets), and the 'Just a Number' kit by Cathy K Designs.

AussieMeg, Love it! The tags in the pockets, the ripped edges, the writing on the textured paper, so amazing digital work.

Here is my page. I backed a LSS kit heart diecut with some scrap cs and turned it into a pocket for hearts and art supplies.

I'm finally getting some ideas together for this one. I'm really liking AussieMeg's horizontal band of pockets with the banners underneath. I might do something similar with mine. Thanks for the inspiration, Peas!

grammadee, how perfect to have her colorful art supplies spilling out of a heart pocket (because they were given with love and used with love!). Nice!

My take: another page to inch closer to being done with my west album. Not the most inspired page; I’m struggling to finish this album bc I’ve used most of my fave pics already and just have a handful of stories to finish the album.

Great papers, schroema. Love the arrows and that pop of yellow on that peachy pocket. Finishing projects is hard. But you are getting there. Good job!

schroema , is that the actual booklet they completed? What a perfect use for a pocket, to capture some memorabilia. It’s actually the card (think credit card size) that Isaac got from school for the Every Kid in a Park program. If you have a 4th grader it’s really worthwhile- they and their parents get into every national park for free. and the yellow is cut from the lanyard he got.

jjpeapea, I love those pockets on your layout. Putting photos on the tags was a great idea. The balloons are a cute accent down the side. Even your twine on the tags are a perfect color match. Very pretty. Thanks for the challenge. Your pocket card is so cute. I love that denim paper. Perfect sentiment. AussieMeg, your vellum pockets are so clever. I always love your hanging banners and those lights are great. Love the colors and the big bow. The torn bottoms of your photos are really cool. Beautiful work. schroema, that pocket with student ID is a great idea. I love that arrow paper. It's cool that they have ways for youth to earn awards by learning about nature. Great job. What cute pockets, kitbop. Now that you have shown us how to make thread balls online, I may try some. They look great on this layout. I love all your cute fish die cuts. Beautiful, classy page. There is love in the gallery. grammadee, I love that background and the way you have used it. That heart pocket is so clever and I love it filled with goodness. Love in the gallery. This is for #8 Challenge, journaling and heart in pocket with repeated pattern, and #28 Winter Photo with Summer colors. My sister's grandchildren had their Christmas photo taken in front of their stockings and they were all wearing summer colors. (Dad was the photographer and didn't think about clothing) It was the perfect color to use Summer colors with a Christmas photo. How I miss seeing extended family. Christmas Photo 2020

nylene, that's perfect how the kids are in their summer colors doing a winter thing! And Merry and Bright is usually Christmas but the colors on your layout are so bright. And the kids are so Merry! Thank you so much for sharing your happy faces and colorful layout.

The story is for Challenge 7, but I put the bunny in the pocket for Challenge 8. It's removable, lol. Thanks jjpeapea!
