I keep them as well, but with the collection they belong with to possibly be used as an embellishment at some point, or a background piece. Also Janet from RTS just did a whole video on her Patreon about using them and made some adorable header type embellishments with them! I was very impressed and gonna try it myself. And these where the ones from the paper pads she tore down!! 😳
Hugs to you, as quite a few family members deal with anxiety and depression and I know how difficult it can be.
Now I'm off to follow you on YouTube!!

Great idea! How have I not heard of this idea before, lol. So simple but a great way to keep track. Keeping scrapping! I'm going to youtube to follow you!

I started saving them for counting my yearly total, setting aside the ones with patterns I will use. There are plenty that are just branding strips or I cut a leftover piece of paper the size of a branding strip.
I am surprised how many I have accumulated in my vase! It's fun to see.

What a great idea! I am a data girl, so for several years now, I've been keeping a spreadsheet of what I bring into my stash & what I use, not just paper, but all my crafting supplies. It is an eye opener to look back on the year. Right now I typically only scrap about 3 times a year, so both my usage and buying has slowed down.

I only save the ones that I would like to either repurchase, or have the full 12" strip. I rarely use them, but like to have them on hand JIC.

I think I have those same jars - I have 2 sizes, can't quite tell if they're the same or not or which size you're using. I've actually been transitioning to another style of jar in the pantry so if you want another one I could do some cross country mailing... LMK the size? I enjoy your videos although I don't always have time to watch them lately. And doing what makes you happy is all the justification you need, and I've watched enough of your videos to see that this does make you happy And using your paper and turning it into memory albums is the best. I'll measure it and let you know! I have a couple of smaller and larger version of the containers that I think *might* be the right ones in my basement in my give away pile. I know it's crazy to mail a jar across the country but I'm a crazy gal.

I use the short printed bits as banners for the base of embellishment clusters, usually at the top of the page. They are perfect for that. The full-length patterns I use as strips for borders or layering. I don’t save them otherwise. I track number of layouts made, but not number of papers used.

Janet at RTS Scrapbooking posted a YT video on using branding strips as the base for embellishment borders.

lilacgal I am really surprised how quickly the branding strips are adding up in my vase! I am using more paper than I would have guessed.

At the end of the year, I count them to see how many pieces of paper I've used. OMG I love this so much. A couple of my friends and my sister struggle with depression and anxiety. I've been trying to convince them to start a "brag" book of sorts. Something to look at on those really dark days when they think they don't matter or are worthless and the inner critic is the only voice they can hear. Heck, I should even do one. I hit a rough patch at the beginning of March and it was a couple of weeks before I felt like myself again and was able to do anything besides work, eat, and sleep. This is wonderful inspiration. Thank you! I've been keeping a spreadsheet of what I bring into my stash & what I use, not just paper, but all my crafting supplies. This is such a cool idea. I keep a running list in my head, but seeing the hard data would so helpful. I bet it is eye-opening!

lilacgal I am really surprised how quickly the branding strips are adding up in my vase! I am using more paper than I would have guessed. Isn’t that a great feeling? I found when I noticed how much paper I’ve used propelled me to use even more. I've still been thinking about paper off and on. Crazy me decided to count up how much 12x12 paper I’ve purchased so far this year. 299 sheets! That doesn’t include two preorders I’m still waiting to come in. I’m putting myself on a 12x12 no buy until I use up at least 100 sheets of paper. I can buy embellishments, but no more 12x12 paper. If I keep bringing in paper, I’ll need a 12x12 step program!
