**Updated** I don’t know about y’all, but spring can’t come soon enough. Let’s bring on all the pastels, flowers, and warmer weather! TWIST - Since this is a spring color palette, I'd like to see you scrap fall photos! Points - 2 points for using the color palette and another 3 points if you scrapbook a fall photo(s) - Total of 5 points for doing both. The renaissance festival happens in October and November where I live. Since I’m scrapping spring colors with a fall photo, why not use a picture of ren fest with a Stormtrooper. Here’s a link to the live video I did of this layout. youtu.be/cKdsWpraRwUThe look on my daughter’s face makes me giggle every time. I can’t wait to see your creations! Good afternoon! My next challenge isn't supposed to be up until tomorrow evening/Thursday. Due to a ton of stuff going on around me, I had to move my live Happy, Scrappy Hour to Tuesday this week. I'm still going to be scrapping with the color palette today though! So, if you'd like to come by my YouTube at 8pm EST, you get a sneaky peek at the palette challenge. I hope I'll see y'all there! 💜 www.youtube.com/c/OneMommyScrapping

Love the palette with those candy hearts. Mmmm... And love the page you created with it! So cool that you have a Storm Trooper on this page! But that helps me select a fall photo to use with this colour combo. I think I have some left from a beautiful PinkFresh line with purple leaves. Need to find that one and then figure out what fall photos go with it. Might have to go back until one of my ten-year-old dgd's early birthdays (October).

Here is my spring palette/fall photo. Ok it was one day into fall. That counts, right? grammadee, the universe said "neener, neener" to me - after talking about walking away from my cutting machine, I walked away from this one to come back and find out that I hadn't pushed the pen in far enough and it spent a lot of time going through the motions of writing with no result. No big harm done, I just tried again, but I thought of you.

Love your example layout! I struggle with purple, and you used it perfectly on a very non-purple (stormtrooper!) layout.
This will be a challenge for me because these are not my go-to colours, but I am up for the challenge!!!

lilacgal , you've chosen another gorgeous colour palette - right up my alley! Your LO is wonderful, I really love all the layers, and that background paper. jjpeapea wow, your layout is so incredibly pretty! It makes me very happy to look at. And co-incidentally, that photo was taken on my birthday. Here is my layout. As soon as I saw the colour palette I knew that I had a kit with very similar colours. It is the 'Bunny Trail' kit by Bella Gypsy. And because Easter falls in Autumn in the Southern Hemisphere, I have met the twist too. I actually used the picture of the colour palette as an embellishment.

This really works, AussieMeg ! I am still trying to think of indoor photos to use, but these outdoor shots work GREAT with the teals and pinks and purples! Love the LO design, too. That sketch is a KEEPER! I have it printed out from #13 and hoping to use it today.
And jjpeapea, your page is perfect. Great way to pick up all the colours in just a few elements, leaving the focus on that awesome photo. I love him heading away to look for the sunshine...

I ended up doing a second layout for this, because I wasn't able to fit all the photos on the first layout:

aussiemeg great layouts! I love that you have lots of photos plus lots of embellishments! Here’s my take- photos are from October in Florida so they work with the bright color scheme. Also my son said no pink or purple in his album so I focused on the yellow/green/blue pastels.

The color palette made me think of Bloom Street by Pink Paislee, so that's mostly what I used on this one with sunny September photos

WTG, adapting the emphasis to fit your son's need to avoid certain colours, LOL, schroema! I love those pastel frames/mats against the grey background: really unexpected on Disney LO's. msliz, your page is beautiful. The yellow is the perfect September background, and I love all the purples, and those diecut butterflies and flowers. I have Pinkfresh Indigo Hills pulled out for this one. Think I will combine it with gramma's history prompt, but we will see... The photo is in b&w, may have been taken early fall (or perhaps late summer). I remember getting my horse just before school started, and this was the day she was delivered to me. The journaling will be all about fall, though, so I am counting on it counting for this challenge when I get it finished.

Here is my horse page, lilacgal. This Pinkfresh paper made it really easy to hit those colours! As I said, I THINK this was a fall photo, taken the day my friend brought me my horse. I know I got her just before school started so I could ride every day on my own. Horse love by Gramma Dee, on Flickr

lilacgal, I love the colors in your sample page. Gorgeous way to scrap a Storm Trooper. I love the use of the papers tucked in on the left. You have a beautiful scrap style. jjpeapea , that is a great layout. I love that cute title and the use of the sun and apple. You did a great job with Fall photo and Spring colors! schroema , you did a great job with this challenge. Putting the Spring pastels mounted on the darker paper makes them pop off the page. I love the close up selfies. Looks like a fun day. msliz , I love that Bloom Street paper and you used it so effectively. I love the variety of the prints behind your photos and yet they obviously go together. Your paper squares (is one a pocket?) are so pretty. I love the dainty flowers. Gorgeous page. AussieMeg and grammadee , beautiful pages. I left love in the gallery. Here is mine. A little weird to scrap school pages in Spring colors, but it felt like Spring after being cooped up for months. AussieMeg I love, love that you included the challenge color swatch in your actual layout. When I did my digital layout for gramma s challenge I used my eyedropper tool. Fun! Your layouts are both gorgeous.Tho schroema, October in Florida does look light and bright! Good use of the blue/greens and yellows. msliz, such pretty elements! Those flowers lend a delicate touch. nylene, I LOVE lilacs. (I'm thinking lilacgal does too?) This photo and journaling tells the story of returning to school in these times so well. I love how you reflected on the purple in her shirt. Just well laid out.

I ended up doing a second layout for this, because I wasn't able to fit all the photos on the first layout: I really like your scattering of confetti at the top left and bottom right. Btw...I now want brunch! It's my favorite meal.

nylene , I LOVE lilacs. (I'm thinking lilacgal does too?) This photo and journaling tells the story of returning to school in these times so well. I love how you reflected on the purple in her shirt. Just well laid out. Ummm...just a little! We always took our Easter photos in front of the lilac bush. That particular bush was special because it came from a cutting of my great grandmother's lilac bush. I've tried to grow a cutting down here. It worked at my old house but not my "new" one. This might the year to try again though.

We had roots that were above the ground and we used those as our oven. I always loved to play there and there was a window where mom could keep an eye on us. I can't see or smell a lilac without thinking of my sweet mom. Thanks for the memories.
