Here are your prompts for this week. And a note - as some of us look back we may not have access to personal pictures to use. It's perfectly fine to download images and use them to add to your story. Maybe your mom baked the best cookies ever but you don't have a picture of her baking. Use a downloaded image of cookies. After all - this challenge is supposed to be about the story.

I had another adventure, looking through boxes and scanning my yearbook. And for some reason nylene , this one wanted to be 8 1/2 x 11. It also wanted to be digital, maybe because of the scanning. I enjoyed this look into my past. Thanks, gramma .

Love that you are going on these adventures, jjpeapea. Love your story. That background that looks like old style printer paper is PERFECT for talking about computer club! Here is my page for this, gramma. I went with childhood memories. I loved my horse: she provided me a freedom it may be hard to imagine. She was my ticket to independence. I am also using this page for lilacgal's spring colours challenge, which the Pinkfresh line helped me to accommodate: Horse love by Gramma Dee, on Flickr

gramma, I can't get your links to come up. They just come back to this thread and last week's. I took the My History Project a couple of years ago and have slowly worked through it. I'm sure I can find something that might fit your challenges that I haven't scrapped.

gramma, I finally got it to work. I hate it when my DSIL changes things on my computer and doesn't explain them to me. Duh! Ok, I can do this.

grammadee those colors for the other challenge look great with your horse picture. I love the horses galloping to freedom across the page.

jjpeapea, I love your reminiscing. You got in on the ground floor of Computer Science as a career. So interesting. It's hard to believe how things have changed. I was once told that a musical greeting card has more technology and power than our college computer that took the entire bottom floor of the admin. building in the 60's. gramma and grammadee, your pages brought back lots of memories. I left love in the gallery. Thanks for sharing.

nylene grammadee jjpeapea I love these - no really, I love them. These are the stories that our kids and grandkids will look back on and say "I didn't know that about Gramma/Mom!" "She rode a horse to school?" "She had to save for months to save $8.00?" "Mom was a Trekkie?" Keep going ladies.

nylene your story is so sweet! And that you have your 1902 sewing machine too. I still have the doll clothes my mom made for my Barbie and I will not part with them. Similar story - no money for doll clothes but one Christmas my mom and the neighbor spent time while us kids were in school and surprised us greatly. In my mom's generation a girl was expected to sew, but society changed so much my fellow girls and I were encouraged to sew (home ec class...) but it wasn't an expectation anymore. I kind of wish I had practiced more. It would be an amazing creative outlet.
