Ok honest opinions? Are they great? Do you like them better than ________ brand inks
I have an opportunity to buy some and I'd like to know before I invest.
there is a nice range of colours and I'd like to get whole set but would also like some honest reviews

I personally did not like her ink pads when I purchased (5 or 6 years back).
So, that's one data point.
The ink seemed goopy and sticky.
According to SCS, it's the exact same ink as: It is the same formula as Lawn Fawn, Simon Says Stamp, Hero Arts, WPlus9, and others. They are all made in the same factory and their pad cases are the same size and feel with a lid that comes off.
So, probably focus on the color (and the quality if you can see the pads before you buy them).

Ok. I have simon and hero arts. A few colours. Maybe I will buy the two Xmas colours I saw and see.
Thanks. I figured here I would get raw reviews. I like the black amaglom ink.

I have/use GinaK ink cubes. Honestly, I can't tell a difference from my other brands (LF, MFT, HA).
I did not like the amalgam ink. I felt like I didn't get a good impression and kept having to re-stamp. It could be because I only have the cube. In the amalgam I have black and whisper colors.
For Copic coloring, I used MFT Extreme Black and then Hero Arts Intense Black, until they both needed to be re-inked. I'm currently using a LF Jet Black ink. I would recommend any of these three over amalgam.

scrappington I started out with Gina K ink cubes in all colors and eventually graduated to full pads in almost all colors. (Almost all due to cost). I love them. They stamp crisp and clear and I think she has a wide variety of colors to cover all my bases. I have ink cubes for Altenew, PaperTrey Ink (don't waste your money), hero arts, Stampin up (15+ years old cubes and full size pads) and distress ink. I will say, my go to inks are Gina K (cubes & full pads) and Altenew (cubes). I highly recommend them so I say go for it.

The only reason I don’t have more is I needed someone else to tell me what color combos to use for layered stamping and Altenew does that. If I didn’t need that I would have gone with GinaK. All inks having the same formula was actually discussed in Gina’s FB group over the last week. Gina herself came on to say that it is not the case for her inks; they are not the same as all that are listed above.

I have a number of her cubes (I don’t stamp enough to justify the full pads) and love them.

I use stamps for my PL albums and I bought a ton of Gina K inks (cubes) a couple of months ago. I think 25. I have been happy with them. They have a crisp image, the colors as true to what was advertised and I buy more. I prefer them to my LF

I've found dye ink to be super blotchy and some letters are blobs and illegible. I use pigments for that reason but would love to try GK's!

How does Gina K compare to Catherine Pooler ink? I'm in the market to invest in some new inks and my LSS is having a preorder on both companies. I use ink for edging, but I'd like to start using my stamps more for PL/titles/tags/embellishments. I'm not a big card maker.

How does Gina K compare to Catherine Pooler ink? I'm in the market to invest in some new inks and my LSS is having a preorder on both companies. I use ink for edging, but I'd like to start using my stamps more for PL/titles/tags/embellishments. I'm not a big card maker. I have a set of CPs minis, and they’re different than what I’m used to since they have foam pads and Gina K’s are felt. CP’s require a much lighter touch - a couple of love taps as she says. They haven’t always smoothed out as much as some other inks, and most say to buy re-inkers. They’re very juicy. So of the two I’d go with Gina K, given your type of project and possible good deal from your LSS and to support them. Both are high quality inks. If you were ever looking outside those two for sentiments and very small, detailed images, I might get an ink known for crispness. Like Verafine Clair, which can heat emboss well up to about 7 minutes after stamping (depends on environment), or Ranger Archival, though some don’t love it. But I’ve used Gina K cubes for tiny images and they’re fine. Versafine Clair doesn’t have any light colors, but does second generation stamping well. and even third. So when I’ve wanted light, I’ve stamped the image on scrap paper and then the cardstock. I have dark/med/light swatches but that’s OT and I doubt I can post from my iPad anyway. Ink nerd, sorry.

I have quite a few of them. I like them a lot. They are also really good for ink blending. Even if the ink blending doesn't look great because you're just learning, the colors seems to melt together once they are dry and it looks really smooth. I also really like the amalgam ink for stamping stamps I want to color. It's so crisp! I also like Simon Says Stamp ink. They have a few colors that I didn't already have so I got a few to try. They work nicely too.
