But if Cruz and his GQP buddies had their way, they would be like the Roman emperors who can ALWAYS act w/o consequence. Above the rules and norms that the "little people" have to abide by. Not to mention that most Americans aren’t taking vacations at all this year. Let alone to another country. |

That's a terrible statement, reeking of privilege. Regular people just can't indulge their kids on a whim to bring them to Mexico with friends when they've had a rough week.
He just keeps stepping in it, repeatedly.
The infuriating part is that everyone will forget about it sooner than later, and keep looking to him as some kind of leader. Absolutely nauseating.

his statement is BS but i give him B+ for effort on spin. he was basically shamed by social media into coming back. he probably thought that since he's not up for re-election soon, he's good. he could get away with anything just like 45. um, no. not when Beto, who is a private citizen, is doing the job he should be doing.

Cruz has taken guidance from Christie, new in office, who flew to Florida(?) on a Sunday morning as a major snow storm was in fact hitting NJ.  This was during NJ state government shutdown and beaches were closed and Christie took his family to the NJ beach, not Florida. |
