It's time to think about summer! Warm breezes, going to the beach, and picnics under the stars. Let's bring in those bright colors!  This is a "sorta" rainbow palette. You don't have to use all the colors but you can. Claim two extra bonus points if all six colors appear in your layout. TWIST - Since this is a summer color palette, I'd like to see you scrap winter photos! Points - 2 points for using the color palette and another 3 points if you scrapbook a winter photo(s) - Total of 5 points for doing both, plus two more bonus points for using all six colors in your layout. I was inspired by my purple paper from last week. I figured if I could make purple work for a Stormtrooper, making it work with my nephews would be easy. All six colors are in there though the green isn't like the kelly green in the layout. It's pickle juice green. I'm ok with that though. I used two different acetate sheets as well as gesso (which is most covered up but whatever). I had a lot of fun! If you'd like to see the video, you can check out youtu.be/VFYlRmB3DkM. ETA, this is a lot harder than it looks. I didn't have any papers with that combination of colors, so I've been going through my scraps to find each one. I think dies are going to come in handy for this one, and probably some Nuvo drops.

That page is AMAZING, lilacgal ! Love how all the embellishments are tumbling down the page like the kids tumbling down the hill! And the focal photo is wonderful! I have some skiing photos my son shared with me. One of the girls thoughtfully wore a pink parka. And I have a set of Kat Scrappiness dies designed to create a mountain scene on a slimline card, so I will be working with them, too. Not sure if I will finish this today, but at least I hope to get a start. Off to look for papers and embellishments... |

Those look like Hanukkah colors to me! ~~~~~~ ETA, this is a lot harder than it looks. I didn't have any papers with that combination of colors, so I've been going through my scraps to find each one. I think dies are going to come in handy for this one, and probably some Nuvo drops. I used metallic Crystal Drops in Pink Orchid, Auburn Pearl, Bottle Green, Wisteria Purple, and Violet Galaxy for my Drops. I thought about using the white Stone Drops to look like snowballs but by the time I was done, I didn’t think it would work well. I can’t wait to see which Drop colors you chose to go with it. 🙂 |

I'm still trying to envision the finished page. I think the thing that was tripping me up is that my photos are really really dark. Indoors and at night. And the palette is super light. I think if I can throw some black in there it'll come together for me. I'm getting there! I don't have as many colors of Nuvos as you do, but I have acrylic paint, and I'm not afraid to recolor some brads  |

lilacgal thank you for the challenge! I love the happy faces and the composition of your layout. When grammadee talked about her dgd's jacket I say "A ha!". My former students often wore colorful jackets.... I miss them dearly. So there are some awkward spots along the way but I haven't torn paper lately and that was fun, and I printed on printable glitter paper for the first time and I love the result. I used the eye dropper tool on the challenge palette for the title colors (Inkscape).

That photo of the kids on the ground so it looks like one is upside down, just makes me smile. They are all having such fun. Couldn’t have picked better colors for your photos. jjpeapea, those colors are perfect for that purple snowsuit. The strips of color with torn edges add so much dimension and movement to the page. So totally cute! schroema, I really love the rainbow colors across the top. The children’s cute snow gear worked out perfectly for this challenge. Very sweet. I love the big flowers scattered across the page. This looks like a fun, fun day. msliz, this turned out beautifully. You were right, it’s the perfect Hanukkah colors. I love the double page with lots of photos. The banners lead the eye across the page and your Menorah is very pretty. This was my niece's Christmas photo, taken by a dad who doesn't think about matching outfits with the stockings. So many summer colors in their clothes that I scrapped it in them.
