I don't think I am the only scrapper who saves all the bits and bobs and flotsom of family activities. There is everything from the boarding passes from one-in-a-lifetime flights to little handwritten notes from the kids. School artwork. Christmas and birthday cards. Certificates and awards... Come on! You all have them, right?
Friday's challenge is to scrap those pieces of your life! Yes! Put them on a page! If you can't bear to put glue on the actual items, create a pocket for them, or do as I did in my example, and use page protectors. To meet this challenge, you just need to attach ONE real item of memoribilia to your page or card. Or here's an idea: use it to put together a wall decor item!
POINTS: two pages created & shared (4). 28-4-28 + twist + bonus (7), R-3 two photos for Donna challenge (2), P-2 tjree types of flowers (3), P-4 glitter letters & cb (2), P-5 stickers (2), S/I-1 arrows (2), S/I-2 diecuts (1), S/I-3 three hearts (1), C/M-1 Pink (2), W/T-2 Love (1), N/S-1 two photos (1), N/S-2 small photos (2). Total: 30
The TWIST is to write at least 50 words about the item you chose &/or the person or place they remind you of. If you have several pieces of memoribilia that recall the same set of memories, you only need to write a TOTAL of at least 50 words.
One point to have at least one actual piece of memoribilia on you project + 1 point for writing the 50 words + a BONUS of 5 points for doing both!
And yes, AussieMeg , I am thinking that if you are doing a digital page you would, of course, use a photo of the piece.

I had to think! I'm not one who saves a lot of memorabilia. But I scanned my 2020 photos and I did come up with an idea for a Halloween layout using some decorations I saved. Now I just need to sit down and actually do it. I love your pages and your story grammadee

grammadee. I am flat outgoing to steal this. I found a recipe book I made for my Aunt Joan and couldn't figure out how to use it

grammadee you are so right. I save so much. I even saved the tissue paper cushioning a chocolates container - a gift to my daughter from her aunt. And voila! A challenge where I can use it. Thanks!

Thanks for a brilliant challenge grammadee . I was looking around my study for some memorabilia to use, when I saw this journal jar on the shelf. Both of my kids made them at school for Mother's Day. I'm usually pretty good about remembering when things happened, or at least dating them, but I could not remember what grade DD was in when she did this. I used a process of elimination and I *think* it was Year 3. I scanned the messages that DD had put into the jar she made for me, and chose a photo of me and the kids on Mother's Day that year. I would never have scrapped this fun memory if not for this challenge, so thanks! I used the Layerworks 1333 template by Tracey Thomson and Katie Pertiet. It probably looks really busy, and I even took a ton of stuff OFF the template!

Sweet memory, and sweet photo with it. Not overly busy at all, AussieMeg. I love how you used the circles to tie everything together. Like a mum’s hugs.

This might not have been what you had in mind with this challenge grammadee, but it's all I've got for you. These are window clings that decorated my kitchen windows for the last few Halloweens. I thought it was time to retire them and turn them into page embellishments

What a cool idea, msliz! Years from now, someone will see that page, and say, “Hey. Remember when...?”

This was my final challenge! I have so much memorabilia, but it is very hard to get onto pages. This one was important to me and I love the way it turned out. The card is sewn into a plastic pocket, and sewn to the page so it flips over and you can see the stack of annual renewal sticker on the back of it.There's more journaling under the card as well, about the card itself. This is OLD product - Creative Imaginations (orange ledger), Bella Blvd (all the rest). I die cut the letters from the background paper and layered them up so they sit above the paper but in the exact lined up spot, with the contrasting edging (the dies do that). layout first life student by kirstendrew, on Flickr

What a great way to display your student card, kitbop! And a wonderful page. Hope to get onto Flickr later to get a closer look.

I always look for memorabilia at any event and use whatever I can. I am an old style scrapbooker as was my mom, so saving stuff is second nature. I use napkins and little cupcake toppers, greeting cards, gift tags, brochures anything that can fit on a page and help me tell the story.
When I did my Europe books from the early 80s I scavenged my scrapbooks that were full of great stuff I had saved. I even put an entire yearbook in one album!

Very cool pages, myboysnme. Love how you have used all those items on them. Looking through books like this brings back the whole experience.
