Have any of you tried this sampler kit? I've seen some Youtube videos about these and I'm intrigued. They send you a "sample" of new to the market scrapbook items each month. I'm wondering if it's worth the $14-$17 per month price tag (the cost depends on how many months you sign up for). Here's the link: SCT Sampler

Oh my! A monthly subscription I think I can get into! My kids get make-up kits and it’s so fun to see what they get. I’m a slow scrapper, low producer so a small taste of new stuff sounds like it would fit me. And BONUS...the cost includes shipping to Canada. I think that even with the exchange this will be worth it for me. I live in scrap-shopping desert land, just Michaels and Walmart, so I’m in need.

Two of my friends got them at the same time. They both weren't necessarily the same. She didn't renew.
It's a mis mash of stuff. But if your a card maker the paper is good for that. You get a die or a stamp. Little ones. Embellishments. And random 6*6 paper

Yes! I've been a subscriber since the beginning (2021 is the fourth year, I believe) and I will never not be a subscriber. I really love the SCT Sampler and feel it is worth the cost (especially at the annual commitment price $14/month, paid quarterly). We typically get 6x6 papers and embellishments from two different collections and then other random things like stamps, stencils, embossing folders, thin metal dies, etc. Then there is usually other random bits & bobs that coordinate, including a 3D word (acrylic, foam, etc). All from major companies/manufacturers/designers.
I typically just put the items into my stash and use them whenever (I'm a "use my stash" scrapbooker even with new product, not a collection scrapbooker). This year I'm doing it a bit differently. The January sampler I made a "year in review" chunky mini album and used up the entire sampler kit. The February sampler I'm in the middle of making embellished mini envelopes using the "valentine" stuff. I'm working on a TN size junk journal I will use the other half of the sampler kit (Pinkfresh Studio).
My BFF also subs (and has since the beginning) and she uses hers to make card sets throughout the year that she gives away as Christmas gifts.
ETA: the samplers are NOT identical to each other. You don't get full packs of embellishments, you get a sampling of them. So you might get 15 die cut pieces from a pack that holds 60 pieces, etc.

You get a die or a stamp. Little ones. Embellishments. And random 6*6 paper I'm not a card maker, but the 6x6 paper suits me well as a scrapbooker since they are the larger scale papers from a 12x12 sheet, not from a 6x6 paper pad. And you *could* get a little die or a stamp... Or an embossing folder or a stencil. Or a full size stamp set. It's truly random every month. There are no dies or stamps in the February sampler, for example.

There are not many full collections I like so this sounds like something that would work for me, and whatever I don't use in scrapbooking I could easily make into cards. You sold me!

I did a year sub back in 2019ish. I've never been a kit person, so I thought this would be a way to try something like that. I really liked it, love getting new lines, I tend to not buy too much new bcz I just have such a stash. I like getting the little tidbits of this and that. I def use it, but I didn't renew because it was still a lot of stuff! I have the 6x6 paper in my 6x6 pad holder and there's still a good 2 inches of paper even after using some. I separated out all the embellishments and stickers into my categorized envelopes. There were a few cute stamp sets, dies and emboss folders, I like getting those things, but they are not as frequent. I think it is a great kit for the price. Really can't go wrong with SCT, they always do it up.

I subscribed too! I told myself I wasn't going to sign up for any more kit-type clubs but this one was too good to pass up. Looking forward to April!

I subscribed a couple of years ago. They are nice little kits. Perfect for card making, and adding a few new items to try out on a budget.

I subscribed for 6 months a few years ago. I really enjoyed receiving the kits, it wasn't overwhelming and it was a fun and inexpensive way to get some new stuff every month. I only quit because I was cutting down on my spending, but I think about signing up again all the time.

I've been a subscriber since the beginning. It's a very inexpensive monthly kit and a good value for the money. Shipping is included. Most months there is a stamp set or embossing folder. HTH

I signed up too! So excited, as a Canadian most kits and things end up being too expensive- can't wait to get a little bit of fun in the mailbox each month

Do you get the magazine with the kit?

Do you get the magazine with the kit? No, the printed magazine is not included with the sampler.

I'm impatiently waiting for my April kit and was wondering when they usually ship them out? I was trying to sign into my account but I don't remember creating an account on the website and when I do password reset it says it sent a password reset email but I've yet to receive the email. I'll email them to see if I actually have an account but I was just wondering before I send off my email when they ship the kits.

I'm in San Diego, if that helps. I believe it ships from New York for US addresses.

Also, have you tried to sign into your account? I still haven't seen anything from them. I had so much trouble trying to log into my account on their website - it turns out they create the account and password for you, from what I recall (this was about a year ago). You have to go find one of the emails they sent you and it has your password in it. It was a huge ordeal and took me quite a while to figure it out. You might just want to send them an email if you can't log in.

Because of peas, I was 1) enabled, and 2) have to wait until July for my first samples.

I’ll send them one again because I’m only finding the PayPal subscription setup email but nothing else.

I saw this kit when I went to the site to subscribe to the paper version of the magazine, it looks like a great value. I got my first issue of the magazine today, and I had also ordered one of their stamp sets. To my surprise, they sent me a free full-sized stamp set as a thank you for subscribing. Great customer service! I look forward to hearing what you all think of the mini kits when you receive them

I'm in the SF Bay Area so I'll be on the lookout around then. Also, have you tried to sign into your account? I still haven't seen anything from them. I don't receive an email saying MY kit has shipped each month. I don't know if it's because they don't send them out, or if I have notifications turned off (which wouldn't surprise me!). They do however send out an email once a month that says "kits have been shipped" in general, as in a newsletter type email. Then like a week later another email will come that shows a version of the kit (remembering that they are samplers, and not identical kits) and includes more about what it's inside and any shopping deals, etc. I hope this helps! ETA: Actually, I remember now that for March's sampler I did receive a shipping notice with tracking information. That was the first time I'd ever gotten one, so I wonder if it's a new thing they are doing now.

Finally someone got back to me! Evidently hotmail email addresses do not allow emails from their server to send to hotmail addresses (although that's how I get their sale emails and such so I'm confused). Anyway, I had to send a DM via Facebook and we are getting it resolved. So, if anyone wants to sign up, make sure you're not an old relic like me and use anything but a hotmail account.
