I really wonder is this is a regional thing. I’ve lived on the west coast, east coast, south, Midwest, and Texas. I have never heard of a noodle board. I have seen butcher block cutting boards used on stoves, but I’ve never heard them called anything but cutting boards.
If I really needed the counter space I can sorta see the appeal at first. However, if you use your stove at least once a day, it’s gonna be a pain in the ass moving it off, find a place to put it and all the seasonal tchotchkes from Hobby Lobby displayed on top, then wait for your burners to cool down before you can replace it.
Also, in my Google search, Samsung seems to be the stove of choice. 😂

I don't want to see another one of these rustic wooden things in my Cricut groups ever again, especially with that loopy font and "The Small's Est. 1998" or whatever name all grammatically incorrect. And Silhouette Groups and Scan n Cut group and Glowforge groups.Argh. I noticed that the noodle boards faded in popularity just a little bit and now we’re back to wooden signs. And complaining about how everybody can purchased premade wooden signs at hobby lobby for so cheap how can I make any money boo-hoo hoo.

I have never heard of or seen one of these. Wouldn't have any use for it, because I use my stove top to air dry my pots and pans, so it would just been the way. I have a "centerpiece" stove - our house was one of the show models in the 1980s so our stove is on a feature wall with a tile surround and it used to have an archway. The archway is gone. DH heard DS3 say Mother-effer which e learned from his mother one of the many times I nailed my head on that tile archway. Came home to holes in the wall that are still there.

I loathe those. Not sure why I am in a Modern Farmhouse group on Fb, as they drive me bonkers. It has to look a certain way, just like everyone else has whatever in the group. Noodle board. Ugly egg chair. Take something utilitarian and useful and turn it in to another useless clutter item.
Guess I am more of a traditional farmhouse person, useful items that are going to stand up to the rigors of serving a family. A big ass cutting board is redundant. I can knead and work dough on my countertop. As a stove top cover, all it does is create extra work and need for a temporary storage place every time I wish to use the stove top. Don’t have the time or patience to deal with one.
Guess the subject makes me a bit cranky.

What do you hate about it ? I hate that I didn't pick it out, lol. My husband gutted and redid everything before I moved in. I just don't like the un-even heating of it, or the look of it. The fact I have to be careful what cookware I use or it sratches. and it is already scratched so no amount of cleaning makes it look new. And being black, the second I clean it. it already looks dusty again (2 dogs and 2 cats). I don’t have a problem with un-even heating on mine and I just love how easy they are to keep clean.
