Who has one? Can you share a pic?
Specifically on a smooth top stove. I HATE my smooth top, but until we get some other projects done I'm stuck with it for probably 2-3 more years. Wondering if one of these would help me hate it less lol.

i have one. no pic. depending on how much you use your stove, it may be a pain in the butt to you.
mine is just like a shoebpx lid with cutouts on the side for your hands. i haven't finished it.
if you do get one, i would get it as low profile as possible. mine is a little taller than i would prefer.
my friend has one and she also has a hanger for it on one of her kitchen walls, so it is easy to store when not in use.

You enablers. All of you. I could have gone through life blissfully unaware of these. Now I want one. Give me a few more minutes on google and I’ll need one.

Never heard of this. I had to Google. lol Same. And even after seeing what it is, I still have never actually seen one in my life. Maybe it’s regional?

I had to Google this because I have never seen or heard of these. Now that I have, it seems like a fire hazard to me 😳

They’ve been around awhile but seem to be popular now, I suspect due to the farmhouse kitchen craze. They’re all over Pinterest and Etsy.

I haven't heard of it either. I googled as well. I clicked to read the thread, because I was thinking noodles, as in extra wide egg noodles smothered in butter and thought there was some special board in which to serve them on. I had one of those brief envisioning flashes....a noodle board meaning charcuterie board with bowls of various kinds of pasta, bread, a dish of melted butter. Now, I want some!

I don't want to see another one of these rustic wooden things in my Cricut groups ever again, especially with that loopy font and "The Small's Est. 1998" or whatever name all grammatically incorrect.

I've never heard this called a noodle board. I had to Google it, too. Evidently I'm behind the times, as according to the quick questions that pop up automatically,
"The Name comes from back when noodles were made by hand and cut with a knife, which needs a massive board to fit the dough on it. These days it generally used for any kinda baking and every household has one."
Every household had one? As in a cutting board? Or a noodle board? I find it hard to believe that "every" household has one, especially since a lot of us didn't know what a noodle board is!
Do you not like your glass cooktop because it's not clean? A razor blade and a magic eraser will take care of that. Or a cleanser like Bar Keeper's Friend or Bon Ami.

I have two huge Boos block cutting boards, and sometimes I put one on my range. It's really heavy, so last time I removed it I didn't move it back. Plus I have to wait for the gas burner grates to cool down.
My kitchen wasn't designed well and has a small island, so another board would just be in the way and would probably have to be set on its edge on the floor. Where I'd be afraid that my cats would knock it over on themselves.

I’ve seen the wooden covers for stoves but had no idea they are called noodle boards. I use my stove far too often to mess with that. It just becomes oversized clutter that doesn’t fit anywhere else when it’s not on the stove.

Add me to the list of peas who has never heard of these. I’m in Texas, for regional comparisons.
I can see it being useful in one teeny tiny galley apartment kitchen we had with less than 5 or 6 feet of counter space. By the time we added our microwave, and utensils and other items that there was no room for in cabinets or drawers but we used all the time, and it was next to impossible to get anything done in there. We could have just moved it to the top of our fridge when not in use I guess. But those look decorative, does anyone ever actually use them?

The first time she made and posted a pic of something with the apostrophe, I gently let her know that it was wrong. Lol. She is my friend and I wouldnt want her to have that on her business page.

Another one who never heard of a noodle board. I use my stove multiple times a day, so it really wouldn't work for me. Some of the designs are really pretty, according to google.

I have one but, unfortunately, I just packed it away b/c I'm having my kitchen redone. I've had it for upwards of 20 years. It comes in very handy when I use my IP or air fryer.

I can't see a gas one being any better. Now I do clean mine after cooking on an eye one time- even if it's just wiping it off- before I heat it up again. As for OP's question, my daughter showed me those a couple of years ago, but now you've got me curious to look again. I don't want one though.

Count me as another one that has never heard or seen this phenomenon.
I think it would be useful ( I have a small kitchen) as I do use the stove area for other things when not actually cooking on it. I often put a cutting board across two burners (so it sits flat) to use.
I would not be comfortable with one if I had gas. It is big enough and obvious enough that I would remember to take if off before I turn on any burners...unlike those little round burner covers that I tried a million years ago and burned up. 😉

My grandmother had one when I was little, I’ve regretted not taking it when she died and we cleared out her house.
As for it being a fire hazard — not at all!

I just don't like the un-even heating of it, or the look of it. The fact I have to be careful what cookware I use or it sratches. and it is already scratched so no amount of cleaning makes it look new. And being black, the second I clean it. it already looks dusty again (2 dogs and 2 cats).

I have to sit on my hands because I want to correct the grammar I'm familiar with noodle boards because of this - I see them on Melody Lane's cricut group all the time.
I kind of like the look but they don't seem practical to me - I mean you have to move it and put it somewhere every time you cook. I have a small kitchen as it is and just wouldn't have anywhere to put it while I was cooking. Plus, I just don't want to have to move it every time I cook. They look nice but just doesn't make sense for my household.

Now that I have, it seems like a fire hazard to me 😳 My first thought went there when I started seeing them, but I have never heard that it is an issue. "The Small's Est. 1998" or whatever name all grammatically incorrect. Oh geeze! That one just drives me up a tree. Then they say "I like it that way" ... or my customer wants it that way. Well, your customer is a dummy. LOL I use my stove all the time. I cook 3 meals a day, every day of the week. Plus other things throughout the day... I just don't have any place to put it when the stove would be in use. And by the time the stove top got cold enough to put it back on - I would have been on to something else and forgot about it. They do look so pretty though! I usually leave my big heavy oval cast iron stock pot on the stove throughout the winter too. I make so many broths and soups and it is hard to put it away and get it out all the time. It's a pretty LeCreuset pot, so I leave it out!

A friend of mine has something similar on her stove 20 years ago. She rarely cooked and wanted the counter space more in her small kitchen.
Would never work for me. My cast iron pan pretty much lives on my stove top cuz the kids make quesadillas all the time.
