First, I need to apologize for being late with this. I completely blanked on it being Thursday until a moment ago. I am sorry. Now, on to the fun stuff!  This is a softer color palette for fall but still full of autumnal loveliness. TWIST - Since this is a fall color palette, I'd like to see you scrap spring photos! Points - 2 points for using the color palette and another 3 points if you scrapbook a spring photo(s) - Total of 5 points for doing both. Thanks, lilacgal . I hope I got enough of the colours. I started this early this morning in anticipation of this challenge, and added a few pieces after I saw your palette. Kind of for kitbop 's challenge to scrap the photos even if they are not perfect. The photos on the left page are from a couple of years ago, captured off the school's parents' communicating platform. I hadn't scrapped them because the photo quality wasn't that good. Managed to brighten them up a bit and printed them again yesterday.  kindergarten give thanks by Gramma Dee, on Flickr POINTS: two pages created & shared (4), 28-4-28 palette + spring pics (5), R-3 five photos for Donna challenge (5), P-4 gems (2), P-5 stickers (6), S/I-1 arrows (2), S/I-2 circle and oval diecuts (2), S/I-3 three hearts each page (2), T-1 inked torn edges (4), Th-4 photos not scrapped before due to lighting (5), N/S-1 two photos rat page (1), O-8 reprinted photos (3). I was hoping you'd pick something like that color for your palette. I have a few sheets from PinkFresh Days of Splendor that I want to use for some spring photos. Can't wait to see what you do for your page! Grammadee, with the terra cotta and turquoise on the gold, your pages have a real southwest vibe. Desert photos would look just as at home as your kindergarten photos do  |

I thought I had 12x12 paper from Basic Grey's Persimmon collection with was an amazing match to this color palette. Nope. Only 6x6. I grabbed a 12x12 piece from Mon Ami (Basic Grey by Kelly Purkey), a random Basic Grey scrap, and nine patterns from the 6x6 paper pad. I'm quite pleased with the result. I always forget to use my 6x6 paper! You can check out the live video as a replay here - youtu.be/AeA5gCtPIbEThe photo looks like it was taken in October. It's actually from mid-April! This is what Boone, NC looks like at that time of year. It's up in the mountains so takes forever for the warm weather to come and green to reappear. Elizabeth went to a Family Day at Turtle Island which was run by Preston Roberts, my husband's high school art teacher and huge influence on him. The photos from those weekends mean so much to him. Preston helped Elizabeth make a bone handle knife and she learned how to make fire (a skill her Dad was unable to do himself much to her delight!)  |
