That's a lot for you to handle, take care of yourself. Glad your DD is doing okay and they were able to determine the cause.

Holy Smokes ... that's a lot of worry on your shoulders! Thank goodness your DD is receiving the care she needs, and I wish her a full recovery. In the meantime, you need to take a breath - just for you. When everything seems so overwhelming is the time to take extra good care of yourself. Sending hugs and prayers to you and all your family.

Gentle, comforting hugs to you! I'm relieved that your dd will be ok - she was so smart to go to the ER!

My sweet, wonderful daughter, age 39, had a heart attack 3 weeks ago. I am still processing it! She is doing well, thank God. Her diagnosis is MINOCA: miocardial infarction with non-obstructive coronary arteries. It's more common in women. The micro arteries are the problem. She had classic chest pain with weakness in both arms. Of course, being my daughter, she drove herself to the ER. This post is part PSA and part vent. How much more can I take? DH has stage 4 renal cancer, complete renal failure, and uses a feeding tube. Surprisingly, his quality of life is good. He has no pain. His mother is close to hospice stage, having been diagnosed with multiple myeloma. She's 89. Add in my own parents and a fucking pandemic and I am breaking here. I just want my vaccine, but I will be in the last group to get it here. I am not 65 and have no health issues. I haven't seen my grandchildren in almost a year. Thanks for listening, my friends. Re: the vaccine....double check. In Oregon caregivers, paid or unpaid, are much earlier on the list

Oh, mikklynn, that’s a LOT on your plate. Please look after yourself. So thankful your dd is recovering. Hopefully this may have identified a problem that can be treated now?

Oh boy, when it rains it pours. I'm so sorry! Please come here and vent, or anything to take a little stress off you! I'm thankful your DD is ok, that must've been scary for all of you.
Sending lots of love and prayers your way.

Oh my goodness, you poor pumpkin! I am so sorry for all of this. I’m glad your daughter is so smart that she knew she was having an issue and she went to the ER, even if she drove herself!
I am really sorry you’re going through all of this. I hope you get some great news soon.

Oh, mikklynn , that’s a LOT on your plate. Please look after yourself. So thankful your dd is recovering. Hopefully this may have identified a problem that can be treated now? Yes, they are treating her aggressively with a variety of meds commonly referred to as the cardiac cocktail. Her cardiologist feels her risk for another incident is low with her medications and diet changes.

Glad your DD is doing well. Would you qualify as a care giver for the vaccine? Is your DH dependent on you for all his care? What would he do if you got seriously sick/Covid? Right now, there are no provisions for family care givers to receive the vaccine early. I am going to reach out to my doctor about it. DH is very dependent on me for care. He can drive and is mobile in the house, but I do all the household tasks and manage his feeding tube care. DD was our backup, but that is no good right now. I can't wait for COVID to be managed better, so I can hire someone to come in and clean regularly.

I just want to wrap you up in a big, warm, squishy hug....then get to work trying to relieve some of your stress and worry. I can’t imagine how you must feel, and the toll this is all taking on you. How can we help? Serious question. You guys are a huge help. This is a safe place for me to vent. I need that!

I'm sorry that you have all of this happening in your life. As another asked, is it possible to get your vaccine sooner as you are a care-giver to an elderly person and also to your dh? How old are your grandchildren? Do you live close to them? I will be seeing my gkids this weekend, very physically distanced in a play-field. It is supposed to be a nice day. I have been in quarantine hell since last March. Does your dd have support from her spouse/SO? Big squishy hugs to you. Our grandchildren are 850 miles away. We normally travel to see them often. We haven't seen them since July. I was hoping if I got vaccinated in March, to have our grandson here in April for hockey. I had to tell our son that was a no go right now. DD is single, but her friends have been great.

How frightening! You are so strong and have such a positive attitude. You deserve to break a little. And you deserve a break. I’m so sorry that you have to deal with this. I’m finding that the closer I get to getting the vaccine, the more impatient I’m becoming. It’s like that glimpse of the old life is so real and compelling. That is it exactly! There is hope on the horizon, yet it seems so far away. I'm out of patience!

Neither parent came up in the lottery, but my step-mom just got her first shot last week. Dad got his a few weeks ago. She’s 76, so presumably they must be pretty close to finishing the 75+ group. I pray that you are next!
