I have the tiered organizer, and I love how much easier it makes it to choose my lettering stickers. But I don’t like how much space it takes up, so I want to move to the wall option instead. Unfortunately, I can only find one of those available, even checking eBay, Etsy and Mercari, and I need at least one more. I can find some DIY instructions online, but I was hoping to hear from some peas about tried and true options/methods. What I need to hang is surprisingly heavy, and it needs to be a certain distance from the wall to make it easier to use.

I had several of the one and two tiered Clip it Ups. I also had the 6 foot tall one. I never tried the wall one. I keep my many, many Thickers in two different baskets.

If they were all the same, or similar sized packages that would definitely be my preferred method. But I have some as small as 2 x 3, and some in small boxes.

Check IKEA for something that might work

Oh, yes! I found out about these after they stopped being made. I have a couple tiered ones that I use when I do craft fairs, but it's been years now! I keep them stored in the garage as I know it would be near impossible to find again. I don't think I knew there was a wall version. I once stalked Craigslist looking for a specific piece of IKEA furniture in a discontinued color. It took 4 months to find it, but I did! I hope you find what you are looking for, too!

I don't know if this helps you or not, but it might be worth a Pinterest search on DIY Clip It Up. I remember back in the day there were people who got curtain brackets, thin rods, and hanging clips and made their own. I have both a two tiered one and a wall one and I current use them both. Keeping things out is key for me to use it. If I stuff it away in a drawer or another organizer, I forget all about it.

Whenever you have a free moment would you mind measuring to see how far out from the wall the rod hangs? And there is not a support in the middle, correct? Also, the diameter of the rod? I can make one, but I’m concerned about several things so was hoping the peas had experience making their own and using them with a lot of weight...we seem to be in the know about most things scrapbooking related! My biggest concerns are 1) that the rod doesn’t buckle 2) that the ends are sturdy/immovable enough that they don’t “open” outwards, and an end slip out and all the product fall off and 3) the brackets are sturdy enough that they don’t bend under pressure towards the ground.

Funny story. I didn't begin scrapbooking until many companies were starting to go out of business. Simply Renee was one of those. I really wanted to try a unit out, but the shipping was messed up and wanted to charge me more than the item cost...which even when you figure the products were 50%+ off was a bit excessive. So I emailed her and had asked about the cost and if she could bypass the issues on the website by invoicing me in paypal with a more accurate shipping quote. She quickly agreed and not only did she immediately send me an invoice, she asked for my address and shipped the products out and said to pay her when I received the items and was happy with what I received. It absolutely baffled me that anyone, let alone a business person, would do such a thing. Of course I paid the invoice, but as I was doing so I thought how lucky she was that I was honest.

dewryce, I know you said to want a wall version, but Hobby Lobby does sell a knock off version of the original. I thought I'd link it in case it helps you in any way. I don't own it but there are a bunch of reviews on the site.

While I have used one of the table top units for well over a decade, I was unaware a wall unit existed. Its dimensions are included in this Amazon listing: www.amazon.com/Simply-Renee-18-1-4-Inch-Mount/dp/B002C3M25OAnother option is to measure the items you intend to store on it & install your homemade knockoff (made with an inexpensive window curtain rod or towel bar, window curtain or shelf brackets, & window or shower curtain clips) accordingly. HTH.

Thanks for the link though I need 2 so I was just going to make my own, but without the particulars to do so I was concerned I’d never find one again so I grabbed it anyway. Everything is really heavy so a cheap rod won’t work I don’t think. So unless I can magically come up with another CIU then I think I will do what 950nancy does, and put some of the box sets that take up the most room in a bin. I just hate for everything not to be together. I see a shelf above this for the bin to live on in my future. Wow scrapaddict702, that’s crazy! Thanks for all of the input ladies!

If you want a long rail just look for towel rails. If you want the ones you flip thru then Look for things called a folding valet rod or folding clothes rod.

dewryceHaven't forgotten. Just that this task hasn't made it to the top of my to do list yet either. I was also wondering if you could just use some of that closet organizing rail. Just a small section of it. If you put anchors in the braces, it should be sturdy enough not to bend and still provide hanging storage and then you could put baskets on top and store additional materials that way. I've also seen people use the pinch pants hangers to put things in large 13x13 or 14x14 ziplock bags and then hang them from closet rods. The same concept could be used here. Closet Maid Rail

ScrapbookMyLife I don’t have room, or near enough to fill it, but thank so much for the idea! I have the tiered organizer, and I love how much easier it makes it to choose my lettering stickers. I’m not going into any stores atm and as stated above, I’m concerned the weight will buckle the rod and/or the brackets, and I’m not sure how far out from the wall it should go. That’s why I was looking for input from peas who already had been there/done that. It would be one thing if I was going inside and could get a feel for the materials, but I’m not. dewryceHaven't forgotten. Just that this task hasn't made it to the top of my to do list yet either. I’m sorry, I meant to tag you above to let you know and completely forgot.

I missed out on the Clip it Up craze. I didn't have all that many stickers/letters back then, and really no place to put one. LOL I did find that I needed (ok, wanted) one recently though. My sweetie made one for me! I got the clips from Amazon. I wish I had the wall space.
