My hubby oked the purchase-I’m using saved credit card points so it’s basically costing me nothing. But I found it while printer shopping for him. Lol. I spend roughly $30 a month getting my prints. I’m hoping to cut back by having my printing in house-and being able to make pictures I need as I go.
Tell me how much you love yours while I wait for to ship!!!

Yay!!!! Getting the PM400 was a total game changer in how I scrapbook. I love being able to print on demand - the exact picture in the exact size I need when I want to make a page. I don't order gobs of prints in various sizes, color/B&W just to have on hand for when I am ready to make a page.

We take at least one trip a year and now we are getting a camper so like that’s going to be probably 10 a year. And each trip-my photo count grows exponentially. My trip to San Diego last February yielded rough 2500 photos. Then the project becomes unmanageable. I’m hoping to be able to sit down and print exactly what I need with no extras or overlap. It should be here Wednesday-thank you Amazon prime!!

Also-my Xmas album ended up being 4 different albums due to the quantity of photos I wanted to scrap. My new grandson played absolutely no part in wanting this printer

Hooray! Congrats. It’s definitely one of the best & most used tools I ever purchased.

Yeah--congrats!! I simply love having one, it was definitely one of my best scrappy purchases ever. I love not only being able to print on demand, crop, adjust borders, etc., but the quality of the prints is just so much nicer than Walgreens and Shutterfly with their off-tones, cheap paper and not-square cuts. The sales at Epson on paper are great and it's easy to buy from them--and they don't send a bunch of marketing emails. You will love it!!

I resisted for a long time. A fantastic Amazon deal swayed me real quick. I've been so happy with it and as someone said...it's a game changer. I even made a layout about my little printer!

Yay! That's exciting! I think the PM is a great option, in part because you can also use it to print TN sized pages (photo or graphic/text) as well as the photo sizes it advertises. LMK if you want the link on how to do that. I have it saved somewhere in case I get one.

I keep checking for deals on this printer, but they are $250 CAD up here...and most places are out of stock.

It's from Cathy Zielske - she's the only person I've seen talk about this feature/hack.

I love mine. But I dont know that I save any money printing at home. Time saved? YES. But not money usually. And thats an OK trade off for me.
Epson will put their photo paper on sale. Buy a bunch then (it'll be 1/2 off). I get my ink from Amazon. II tried the generic ink and its just not as good.

I'm excited for you! Once it's up and running and you've had a chance to use it come back and post about your experience. I never had much desire to print pictures at home until recently. I'm considering it so I'd love to hear more about it.

Keep an eye out on the epson website they have 1/2 off free shipping deals every so often. You can keep paper in hand reasonably inexpensive ly.
Ink is another matter
The cartridge it came with lasted less than my 2nd cartridge so I guess it wasn’t as full?

Congrats on your new toy! Printing on demand has been awesome. I used to spend so much on my Costco printing as I knew what photos I likely wanted to scrap, just not what sizes so I literally would print a photo in 3 or 4 different sizes. Now I design my page and print exactly what I need.

I have been debating getting a home printer.
Can anyone who has this printer tell me about how many 4 by 6 prints you get with each cartridge of ink? The website says 100, but the reviews are all over the place with how many people say they are getting. Some saying as many as 160 and some saying about 1/2 of what is advertised.

I’m pretty sure I get 100 or more. I usually buy the 100 packs of photo paper and I change out the ink about the same time I use up an entire pack. Don’t change the ink when it first says it’s low. Wait until it makes you change to print. I have noticed no change in print quality by waiting.

I love mine. It’s the only way I print now. I like printing exactly what I need. It may cost a little more but pays for itself in convenience. I’m not entirely sure it costs more because I’m not printing tons of photos I’m not using. Love, love, love it!

You’re going to love the convenience! Last year, I exclusively scrapped Cocoa Daisy monthly passport-size kits as a daily journal. My pictures were mostly collages on 4x6 paper that I cut apart to tuck into journaling, create tiny waterfall pages, add funny memes from Twitter, COVID maps. Being able to print whatever, whenever, was so freeing and helped me keep up with the project.
I’m excited for you!

I love how long the ink lasts when not being used often. It's doesn't dry up like previous Picturemate models.

julie5 curious how you are liking your printer? I bit the bullet and ordered one. It comes this week. I'm really hoping it helps me get some mojo back because my printer hasn't been working properly. Or, second option, I just threw even more $ the problem and it's not going to go well. Hoping that's not the case and that you are loving yours.
