Does anyone use these to store 6x6 paper pads? I am wondering how tall the papers stand in it. I have a shelf that is 6 3/4 inches tall where I want to store the bins and I’m hoping they will fit. This is the 6” high bin and there’s also a 4” tall bin if you use that one. They both appear to have the same plastic feet on the bottom, which may raise the height of the bin (with the paper pads in it) too much. Storage bin

Thanks. I see that. But how tall does the paper pad stand in the container? There are feet on the bottom of the bins. I have some Container Store bins that are 4” tall, but the height of the feet in the bins plus the height of the 6x6 pad makes them too tall to fit on the shelf. Some 6x6 pads (like Echo Park) have a strip at the top of the pad. So the pads are closer to 6 1/2”. The feet on the bottom of the bin make them just a hair too tall to fit on the shelf. I have all of my 12” paper on this bookshelf, so I can’t adjust the height of the shelves. I’m limited to 6 3/4” of space. I hope that makes sense!

I have some basket like bins from the dollar store. They are about 4" deep and I have my 6x6 pads in them. There arent feet on the bottom so no additional height to them. They do flare out on the sides a smidge so they are 6" at the bottom but maybe 6.25" at the top if that makes sense.

It does not hold 6x6 paper! It is only 5 5/8 on the inside.

It does not hold 6x6 paper! It is only 5 5/8 on the inside. Yes, they give the outside measurements. I have mine in a lined basket from JoAnn's I found a couple of years ago. It doesn't really match the rest of my storage so I keep them in a different place.

I’m going to need to do some testing to see if I’d need 3 bins. The shelf is 15” deep, so I’d have to sacrifice 4” of storage x at least 2 bins. Ugh. It’s such a pain not to be able to see the items in person.

That’s a great container! Is it 8” high or 8” wide? Some of my pads are 6.5” tall, so it must be 8” high? My shelf is only 6.75” tall. ETA: never mind. I clicked on a different photo and it had all the compartments dimensions. It’s only 6.25 tall and I need it to be 6.5” tall to fit the Echo Park and other pads.

I’m not finding it on Amazon or at the Container Store, but will do some more digging. Target doesn’t AP deliver to an APO address. Booo!

My 6x6 pads are in an idesign bin that may be 4” tall. I like it because it’s easy to flip through the pads since they can lean at an angle during flipping and I don’t have to reach in. I’m sorry I don’t have the exact measurements but tonight or early tomorrow I’ll measure and post a photo if allowed (not many posts under my belt). If you’d like the bin to be taller than the pads it wouldn’t work, of course.

It says 8” wide and Amazon has it. Fingers crossed that it’s under 6 3/4”!

I keep many manufacturers 6x6 papers in this container (including Echo Park basket1lady ). ETA: The reason I chose this one instead of an InDesign type container was the lid. I like that it is protected from dust.

I’ll confess, it would make me batty to have some on their sides and some standing with the spine upright. My current system on the shelf has them lined up on their sides with all of their spines showing, like books. So I wouldn’t be ahead of the game. I dug around in my stuff and emptied the contents of two clementine crates that I use to hold ribbon. They may just do the trick. I’m going to use them for a week or so and then decide. They just aren’t as sturdy as I’d like. Those little paper pads are surprisingly heavy when they are stacked up! CardBoxer, did you get a chance to measure your bin? I think that’s my next option if the clementine crates don’t work.

I have an 8x8x6h bin (not for pads) stolen from the kitchen that could work if you’d rather have pads lower down. The 6x6 pads stick up about 3/8”, and some 6x6 pads with an extra strip are about 7/8” over the top. And they don’t hold as many, but depending on your space could work or work better. I would find them a little more difficult to reach into to flip if fairly full. But that’s just individual preference.
