I've missed her so. It's been so great to sit and watch and listen to her calm lovely style. Her layouts tend to go a few steps past where I'd stop, but I love them anyway.

She's on FB doing live videos every Monday and Friday, I think?

Yes, watching her FB lives has been part of my routine when cleaning up the kitchen. I really enjoy watching her scrap!

She had to take a break from filming edited videos while she was homeschooling WB during the lockdown. She mentioned that his school wasn't doing the long hours on zoom virtual schooling method - it was more like a curriculum sent home for parents to cover each week with one 25 minute zoom check (weekly) in for the kids! I was amazed that she was able to keep up with anything work related...
I know many people don't use Fbk on principle (totally get that!) but for those who are just not signed up with an account you can watch the Lives without logging in. I quit for a year or so but still watched.

I was amazed that she was able to keep up with anything work related... This is sort of how my 5 year old's kindergarten class is doing it, they have 2 full class zooms a day for 20 minutes each, then 1 small group zoom for 30 minutes and then assignments to do outside of the zooms. It works for me because I only have one kid and I'm currently a stay at home parent. I don't know how other people with more than one kid or if they have to work outside of the home do it. That all being said, I watched both her videos and absolutely loved them. She made me very inspired to do a mix of 12x12 and pocket page layouts, although I've chosen to do a 9x12 album this year. Maybe I'll do the layout mix for some of the past years I didn't scrapbook. I'm so glad she's back on YouTube, I always miss the lives and haven't taken the time to find if they've been saved to watch at a later time.

I found these videos so inspiring. I think this type of thing is where she really shines, her regular process videos and fb lives are still enjoyable, but I feel like she's brought something different to the table with this approach to monthly documenting than what we're seeing from other content creators who are doing a pl or monthly review style layouts. For a brief insane moment she made me want to throw out my plan for this year and copy her format and buy that SS collection.

I toyed with that as well, but decided to not buy the SS collection even though I LOVE it and will sprinkle in some 9x12 full pages into my album (I'm doing 9x12 pocket pages but have some full page page protectors in the pack I got.)

Watched her 2021 video, she makes it look so easy! I really like what she did, sometimes she uses more embellishments than I would, but this was perfect. I do have a question. I know she is very private re her son’s name, but I was curious if she ever mentions her husband. I haven’t watched all of her videos, but I assume she is married as she does wear a ring. I don’t recall her ever showing a pic with her Dh. Just being nosy....

She has occasionally posted photos of him on her social media. Since he is working from home you can usually hear him in the background during a live.

The Adhesive Avenger’s voice featured in her Glitter Girl videos, and she posted on IG just this week with some family photos that include him if you want to see his face. She’s scrapped tons of family photos featuring him over the years but he doesn’t do the Disneybounding stuff in March because he has a “serious” job. But he dresses up for the parks and they did a family Mad Hatter look for an Alice birthday party etc etc. He seems a lot more willing to be part of the nonsense than many husbands (like mine) would be

TFS. I credit Shimelle with helping me get my December journal finished this year. Before starting each time, I put on a day from Journal Your Christmas. There was always a little something that would prompt and inspire me as I worked, even though my layouts were quite different. It’s like having a friend to hang out with as you work.

I finally had a chance to look up her recent youtube videos today. thank you so much for steering me over there! I watched the two she made regarding her 2021 album. I knew she was good with a 12x12, but she can rock those pocket pages too!

Ooh I need to watch this. I'm struggling with my 2021 album. I switched to 9x12 and I'm not sure I'm loving it. I bit the bullet and got a new printer so I'm hoping that will help. Shimelle is always so inspiring.
