I have had my HP Envy 5055 for almost two years. When I bought it, I was looking for a good everyday printer & a decent photo printer.
I cannot get the printer to print image with the correct coloring. It’s hard to explain, but all of my photos print over saturated with way too much contrast. I’ve adjusted the images in photoshop, tried running color correction on the printer itself, and nothing has worked. I even printed a few images from Walgreens, just to make sure I’m not causing the problem in my photo editing program, but the prints look fine from Walgreens.
I don’t believe the printer is under warranty anymore. Is there anything I can do? I have given up trying to print photos using this printer, which sucks considering that’s the reason I bought it.

Oh what a pain, poor you. We have an HP Envy 6200 that has so far been really good... that said, I don't often print photos as I send those off via the free prints app, so just use it for printables and digital papers.
But really annoying that it does that.
I guess having it serviced might be an option, do you think? (if that's even a thing?)

I have calibrated and the issue doesn’t fix itself, I may try HP customer service? Or go the lazy route and buy a new photo printer. 😆

I was a big fan of HP Photo printers with the Photosmart line and owned 3 over the years, but the Envy I bought to replace was a huge disappointment in comparison. Our color laser printer had better prints!
I was on a digital photography forum recently and read that HP used to use Canon components for their photo printers, but stopped. I suspect that is when the 4x6 printers got discontinued and the Envy line replaced the Photosmart line.
ETA - I still have my Photosmart 8150 - the letter paper tray jams, but the photo tray still works. Unfortunately, HP has either discontinued the ink cartridges, or delayed them during the pandemic. I love the printer, but I picked up a used Canon Selphy off FB Marketplace 2 weeks ago. Canon has been better about keeping older ink available.
