Iβve really enjoyed reading everyoneβs comments and seeing all the lovely layouts being shared! Yesterday I completed one double-page layout for my travel album and printed over 50 photos, which will give me 11 double-pagers (22 pages!). Since Iβm the slowest scrapper ever, those are going to take me a long while to complete, but Iβm grateful that this crop has given me the nudge to get started on those pages. Many thanks to all the talented ladies who have shared their layouts and cards!

Sunday AMA:
1. Reveal the SECRET GEM in your hoard, something you've not used out of fear of no longer having it or not being able to live up to its beauty. Ugh, confession time...I hoard traveler's notebooks! LOL. I love them, and I hate my handwriting, so I've only used a few for small projects...gratitude journals, Halloween memory keeping, etc.
2. What ADVICE would you give your former scrapbooking/crafty self? Use all the things! Actually, I would give the same advice to my current self, too.
3. Share your FAVOURITE MOMENT OR LESSON from this weekend with us. I just love seeing all the talent being shared! I haven't been able to participate in any of the virtual crops, but hope to in the near future.

I participated Friday night and most of Saturday and it was so fun. Friday night I wasn't very well organized yet and had worked all day so I just harvested pages from magazines for my glue book. Saturday it took me awhile to get my moko going but I played with an old SU birthday stamp set and an adorable new die I got. I made 18 cards of 3 different designs. I just want to thank everyone for welcoming me so kindly and helping me jump in with both feet. I'm really looking forward to more crops. Perhaps I'll jump on tonight. This afternoon the cowboy and I are helping out at the food bank at our church. Here are the cards I made. I live in Oregon so sunshine and the ability to get good photos this time of year is pretty hit and miss. lol

Today I created a Valentine's Day 2021 layout. Used a dark pink sheet of pattern paper as the background. (I have so much difficulty using pink), stamped an imaged with a Target Dollar Spot stamp that I bought years ago, used the rest of a Stickopotomus heart stickers sheet from sooooooooooooo long ago, used foam "conversation heart" stickers from the Dollar Tree (that I bought years ago), and some dark pink faux enamel dots (also from the Dollar Tree).
Then I've made two February pandemic layouts. One is finished, but the other is missing something, I'm just not sure what yet.

I finished one page last night that fit Saturday's prompts and joyfulnana 's Saturday sketch and gramma 's 28-4-28 #28. This page is about the first school I attended. This is definitely about ME. I used oranges and golds from fall season, although it is spring here (so off season) The background and the heart sticker are from the NJFB kit I received last Monday (so new). My school story by Gramma Dee, on Flickr This morning I took on one of kitbop 's sketches for the angled squares. Turned them into triangles and ran with it. After the heritage muted colours of the page last night, I had fun with all the brights! Let's celebrate Covid Style by Gramma Dee, on Flickr During joyfulnana 's virtual crop this morning, I put together the first half of what will be a two pager. Sweet Family Time by Gramma Dee, on Flickr I have used this photo already this month for next year's March calendar page, but this will go into an album. Used my triangle sketch from yesterday, and sleepingbooty 's Sunday prompts. This shows resilience. This little guy with attachment disorder has survived almost a year with his dad overseas in the military, and had just lost his other grandmother (his dad's mother). They were gathered after her death while his dad was on bereavement leave, and up until this morning, everyone had been busy looking after end-of-life duties and clearing out her apartment. The next day they were going to be separated for another two months until Dad's tour is done. The choice to enjoy this stolen hour at the park is a sign of resilience. I chose the Cocoa Vanilla paper to represent sky colours, and used many of the scraps from this weekend's frantic activity.
POINTS: four pages created & shared (8), Crop prompts for Saturday and Sunday each on one LO for bonus (16), three crop sketch challenges (30), R-3 ten photos scrapped for Donna challenge (10), P-3 thickers (3), S/I-1 stars (2), S/I-3 (1), S/I-4 thirty one triangles (31), T-4 one date stamp (1), W/T-4 over 350 words on one page (7), Th-5 three pages from 2021 (3), Th-7 two pages with outdoor photos (2), N/S-1 three photos on one page (1), N/S-3 sixteen patters (16), N/S-5 seven photos less than 4x6 (7), N/S-6 three photos @ 5x7 (3), O-1 Ketchup (5), O-9 inspired by joyfulnana's martial arts pages (1). Total: 147. Doubled 294.

1. Reveal the SECRET GEM in your hoard, something you've not used out of fear of no longer having it or not being able to live up to its beauty. Clear stamps. I have a ton of them and for some reason, I donβt want them to get ink stainedβeven though they are stamps meant to be used WITH INK. I have so so many unused stamp sets.
2. What ADVICE would you give your former scrapbooking/crafty self? Donβt buy stuff just because it is on sale and a really good price. Make sure you actually like it and will use it. Buying a stack of paper just to donate it in 10 years unopened and unused is dumb. Trust me, there is enough stuff out there that you will like that you donβt have to buy buy buy just because itβs on sale.
3. Share your FAVOURITE MOMENT OR LESSON from this weekend with us. I am another who likes the inspiration of others. Iβve been able to get a few cards done and I did the first 12x12 layout that Iβve done in a really long time. I also got my Everyday Explorers Positivity Passport yesterday and I am so inspired by it. I think Everyday Explorers is becoming my favorite shop! (Now I have to use the clear stamp sets I bought from her too...)

Sunday AMA: 1. Reveal the SECRET GEM in your hoard, something you've not used out of fear of no longer having it or not being able to live up to its beauty. Some of my Basic Grey papers, with all the embellishments that match.
2. What ADVICE would you give your former scrapbooking/crafty self?
To not do duplicates but to scan in and then print 12" x 12" prints for multiple books.
3. Share your FAVOURITE MOMENT OR LESSON from this weekend with us.
I love the time we have spent online chatting and sharing not only scrapbooking hints and tips, but sharing in general.

I just finished another layout, using purple, which I love but can be so hard to make work sometimes.
Now I'm starting a layout of my adult dd, and as I'm perusing pattern paper, looking for something that'll work, I find a perfect match!
I don't even know the brand. Just a random loose sheet that I've had for years. But the blue in it matches and the blue in her pic identically.

Sunday AMA: 1. Reveal the SECRET GEM in your hoard, something you've not used out of fear of no longer having it or not being able to live up to its beauty. Your hoard trophy, if you will... Tell us why you think you've not used it so far and what could finally prompt you to get it out of the hoard and onto a project! 2. What ADVICE would you give your former scrapbooking/crafty self? As years go by, experience trickles in, we often end up seeing things from a different perspective through growth and trial. Is there anything in particular you feel you need to remind yourself (and your fellow crafters) of? 3. Share your FAVOURITE MOMENT OR LESSON from this weekend with us. It can be a funny anecdote, an expression of gratitude, something that helped you, something you witnessed over these three days, a conclusion you've come to, a realisation you made, a regret even. Don't be shy! 1) all the Kaisercraft! Especially the On Stage Collection. Was given to me by someone and I deeply appreciate it. 2) I would tell myself to be open to learning new techniques. Not sure why, but I hate classes. But then I don't like the look of what I am doing and love the look of Shimelle, etc..so I would tell myself that you can't have pages that look like Shimelle's without learning how to do it. 3) I so appreciate kitbop being willing to share her advice/knowledge and expertise, as well as her completed pages. They are every bit as inspiring as Shimelle or any "famous" scrapper out there. Thank you for showing me I can do clusters with 4 photos on a page!

This thread is so much! I pretty much have to choose between the thread, and actual creating I am hosting the next crop but I will return for more commenting. as a quick start sleepingbooty, your planner pages have my heart because the space, the graphic layout, then perfect little accents, it's so lovely and an amazing record. grammadee, your example for your 2nd sketch is beautiful I'll say more in the gallery. Oh, and TAGGING you for entry in your giveaway too! margie - beautiful colour choices and AMAZING photos Linda - you are obviously making up for lost time I love the "kayak" layout, it's so well balanced and the white/teal pop is great. slicksister - you fit in so well to the online group. That is not a compliment We hope you make it again. Your cake/stand is too adorable! Love seeing everyone's projects!
And thanks for sharing sketches! I keep a notebook of them.
I have spent 2 nights working on PL 2020 but unfortunately don't have much to show for it. I have never been this behind before and I'm having a hard time getting it done. I do monthly and have between 2 and 6 spreads a month. Last year, I lost motivation to work on it. But I saved lots of news and memes as screenshots so I'm trying to add all that in too.
Though it will take me longer than this weekend to catch up, I really appreciate this crop for the jump start in getting organized and started!

Project love p. 9: MDscrapaholic "Christmas cards" First of all, you did great with the colouring of the sky and moon as well as those embossed snowflakes. I absolutely love how soft and powdery these Christmas cards are, such a nice change from the usual colour suspects! Very cute and cosy. That stamped image is adorable and I believe an accurate representation of me during winter with my ginormous oversized scarf. π peachiceteas "Love these moments PL" Ok wait, first things first: BUUUUUDDDDAAAAAAAAY, you absolute beauty! π Dogdammit, Peaches, he's a stunner. I just cannot. His coat markings, his bat ears, his open smile. Yes, I will feed you ALL the treats... I love how these digi stamp die-cuts turned out. Gah, don't make me buy an electronic die-cutting machine (no, seriously, I have no idea where I'd store it). It's such a clean and perfect colour-matching look! I want, I want, I want (the machine and the dog, obviously). Are you still making Buddy's own album? Linda "Star Wars Camporee" I love that you went into resourceful mode for this one and found that perfect Star Wars pattern online for free! The black + white + cool tan are a great combo together. Elegant yet matches your camp photos just right. It's a very sleek aesthetic you went for here and it looks beautiful. That set of journaling cards at the top not only balances the LO out but also gives the impression of being launched into space at high speed. Neat idea! π justjac "Birthday cards" Such perfect blending of the colours! I adore that white embossing on top of the colourful background. It's fun and chic. The subtle dimension play with the Nuvo/enamel dots brings a wonderful finishing touch. I love how you've taken risks and also shown restraint with the overall minimal aesthetic for these. Just beautiful! π

grammadee ....I LOVE LOVE LOVE your "school" layout! The photo, the color scheme, the ruler. I *think* I can tell which cute little girl is you (in the front row, middle, in a striped shirt?) I'm also a big fan of telling the whole story, and it looks as though you did! I've said this SO. MANY. TIMES.----I WISH I had scrapbooks of my parents, grandparents, etc. that TOLD THE STORIES of their lives, along with lots of piks, of course! (or even sometimes, I'd be happy to know the date and location of where a photo was taken! I have this awesome 8 x 10 of my paternal grandparents, looking so excited---and that's it. WHERE were they? What was the YEAR? WHY were they so excited and cute? ) sleepingbooty ... Wow, I love your very in-depth, detailed reviews of everyones' layouts and cards! You would have been a great writer for scrapbook magazines! Your attention (and knowledge of!) to every. single. detail. of layouts is amazing!!!! Are you a graphic artist, engineer, professional author, or....? (it's cool if you don't want to share that info). Thanks for the very enjoyable reading! ETA: Forgot to comment on your ADORABLE pik of Bernie and his MITTENS in your planner !!!!!!! LOL, I was going to post a pik of my CLUTTERED planner to give you a giggle, butttt.....decided it was too embarrassing. As I said yesterday, I *LOVE* the clean lined, white spaced, minimalist look in cards, scrapbooks, houses, etc....but in REALITY, it's just "not me."

Wow. Loving all the layouts/cards on here, ya'll rock! Doesn't it feel good to have some creative time? I've been making birthday cards, using an old Simple Stories kit I found a while ago. Colors are coordinated so all I had to do was figure out how to arrange elements on the card front! Easy peasy! Then I got to play with my neglected Nuvo drops on them. WinWin! UGH. I don't want to go back to work tomorrow. Will keep making cards!
