Welcome, welcome all! This is the š TO IMMUNITY & BEYOND š crop thread that acts like the common room for the entire crop weekend. This is where you come in, make yourself at home and play along in any way you want. You can be present every day of the crop or jump in any time. There's no naughty corner or attendance sheet. Just come in as you are whenever you can or feel like it. Scrapbookers, cardmakers, journalers, crafters, knitters, chatty Cathies, product hoarders, small stashers, maximalists, minimalists, you're all welcome here. The rules: there are no rules. No, really, this is all about having fun, enjoying our community and coming together to celebrate the change of season (and making it through 1 year of the pandemic)! You will, however, have the opportunity to play along if you wish so for the following events: 1. Daily challenges/prompts | There will be 3 daily challenges/prompts to keep you on your scrappy toes and inspire you to document different things. Expect one thematic, one colour and one technique + product challenge a day. 2. Virtual crops | If you're not zoomed out and love live scrappy companions, consider joining one of the many Google Hangout virtual crops that your fellow Peas have kindly set up! This is a wonderful opportunity to exchange and feel encouraged to keep working on your project in real time. 3. AMA | Every day, participate in getting to know your fellow croppers by answering the 3 questions that will be posted. We will be discussing scrapbook collections, crafty corners/setups, documenting habits and more. So, make yourself cosy, get yourself a cuppa, settle in and start chatting + crafting away... š And remember... Friday challenges: click here (Friday sketch by grammadee is here) Saturday challenges: click here (Saturday sketch by joyfulnana is here) A quick note on point collection for Team Challenge players: 1. Claim 1 point per DAILY CHALLENGE met. If you managed to meet all 3 daily challenges on one single project, claim 5 bonus points! You have until the end of next week to claim these points. 2. There will also be SKETCHES posted through the weekend. Use a sketch for 1 point, combine the sketch with the previous point rule (3 daily challenges on a single project) for an extra 5 bonus points. Again, you have until the end of next week to claim these points. 3. As grammadee posted at the beginning of the month, all projects made during the crop (until Monday 22nd so time zones don't clash) count DOUBLE.

Good morning! Early AM on the east coast of the US here. Thanks for doing this crop! ā¤ļø 1. Looking forward to ANY scrapping I get done this weekend! Have not done a layout since summer last year and am so missing my hobby. Made Christmas cards and that was about it. COVID changed a lot and I am so over it. Bring on the challenges! 2. I got my first vaccine yesterday! Got the Pfizer and my arm is sore this morning. Only able to get it when MD opened it up to higher education employees. Am very thankful and see the light at the end of the tunnel, finally! 3. I want to use my new slim line dies and try my hand at building some cute cards! I am looking forward to any sketches, always love doing those. I have a new granddaughter who will be a year old next month and I have not done more than one or two layouts about her! I know, whatās wrong with me? I need some ass-kicking! I am doing the 100-day challenge here, though, and have managed to journal/photograph something everyday so far. We are almost halfway through the 100 days. But I need to get back to doing layouts again.
Let the chaos begin! I will clean up my scrap area today after work so Iām ready to rumble!

Oh I hope I can play along a bit. I REALLY want to catch up on my "Stop the Blur" stuff. Thankfully I have kept up with my daily notes but the scrapping itself--not so much. I also need to catch up on my temperature blanket.

Oh, and I wanted to answer your questions. Ooops. Here are my answers: Thursday AMA: 1. Which PROJECT are you most looking forward to working on during the crop? Catch up on "Stop the Blur."
2. Do you have any good news to share for COVID-19 IMMUNITY? I got my first Moderna shot 2 1/2 weeks ago. Glad to have at least partial protection right now but not looking forward to Shot #2. I don't want to get sick. I haven't been sick in years. Not sure I can handle sick. LOL!
3. What are you CURRENTLY drawn to in the world of scrapbooking, cardmaking and/or crafting? I am currently drawn to Featherworks patterns for quilting and crochet. I am in over my head as far as projects. There isn't enough time in the day! I LOVE SO much about arts and crafts! Here is what I purchased to work on:

Yay, we already have quite a few croppers checking in! š¼šš·
Answering today's AMA...
1. The PROJECT I'm most looking forward to tackling during this crop is my memory planner. I've spent quite a few hours catching up on journaling, researching global and national news to get the dates of all the major events right for the first two and half months of the year. I still need to print the typed out journaling on my Happy Planner pages tonight so I can start embellishing and having some "fun with pretties" for the next three days!
2. I'm not prioritary so I'll be with the final group of adults in France getting the vaccine. We've been told it'd be this summer. However, my mother got her first shot of BioNTech last week and I'm ecstatic! I cannot wait for her to get her second shot in early April. I'll be so very relieved knowing she's producing the right amount of antibodies.
3. I'm currently having a small-bits-of-pattern-paper-scattered-here-and-there obsession. Stamped icons on pattern paper that are fussy cut, slim strips of pattern paper, etc. I've decided to embrace it for my memory planner this year and be significantly less minimal with my aesthetic and colour scheme than I usually am. Maybe it's the hope of seeing the end of the hardest part of the pandemic floating on the horizon?...

Yay - so excited! Thank you sleepingbootyThursday AMA: 1. Which PROJECT are you most looking forward to working on during the crop? Making some progress on my 2019 album - I'm still on the first days of February. 2. Do you have any good news to share for COVID-19 IMMUNITY? Did you already get a shot? Have your loved ones been vaccinated? Do you have an upcoming appointment or timeline when you'll be able to get the vaccine? I got my first jab on Tuesday (Moderna) and go back on April 13th. My arm is still really sore but no side effects. DH got his second jab this morning (Pfizer). My sister and BIL got theirs in January (tey run a nursing home). None of the kids are scheduled yet - DS was on detachment when the first round happened at his Command so missed it and hasn't another opportunity yet. He's on the list though. Hoping DD20 will get hers over the summer. DD14 is too young still but I'm hopeful that'll change 3. What are you CURRENTLY drawn to in the world of scrapbooking, cardmaking and/or crafting? Do you have a designer or brand you're loving at the moment? Is there a special technique you've gotten into? Have you been meaning to try out sketch or product? Feeling a bit out of the loop to be honest. I'm using more PP than I used to but I'm still a very simple, lots of cardstock, minimal embellishment sort.

Oooookkkkkkkkkkk........Iām here! Iām back! And Iām thinking REALLY HARD about doing some scrapbooking. I sat at my desk two days ago and had a little cry, but I really want to get some more photos in albums otherwise everything stops at the beginning of 2019. I dunno, I donāt have any space (weāre running our own business from home, my desk has become a dumping ground). I feel a bit overwhelmed with what to scrapbook because my cancer is incurable so at some point Iām going to be out of time...so it all feels likeTOO MUCH PRESSURE. I feel like any page I do has to be especially meaningful and profound and so I donāt know where to start. I think I might spend some time this weekend sorting out photos, maybe get a few printed. Definitely no pressure to actually scrap anything. I keep a journal, I have lots of dates and thoughts written down so I have plenty to actually go in the albums. Iāve had my first jab, but the UK is doing a longer gap between doses so i wonāt get the second one until the end of April. All my family has had their first dose too, my area of the UK has vaccinated more than almost anywhere else so we are on the over-40s group now. In my two years of not scrapbooking, I have been doing crafts I can do from the sofa, Iām very into embroidery, but Iāve kind of exhausted how many hoops I can give away so Iām having a break from that. Iām mostly doing art on my iPad, lots of digital watercolours, and Iām really enjoying that at the moment. So I shall probably spend all weekend doing that

craftykitten - welcome back! I think we all will run out of time at some point - some sooner than others. I'm sure the cancer makes you much more aware of that than most though. ((((Hugs))) and prayers. I hope the crop is inspiring but if all you want to do is sort photos and do digital art and keep us all company - well, that sounds perfect too. I know I would love to see some of your watercolours if you're up to sharing.

So good to hear from you, craftykitten. And it is wonderful that you are *thinking* about scrapbooking. Please don't put pressure on yourself. Sift through your photos. I am not a Marie Kondo groupie, but if you see one that "sparks joy", then set that one on your desk. It doesn't have to be from this past two years. If it makes you smile, pick it up. Same goes for your scrappy supplies. If you see something that you love--colour, design, theme--on a sheet of pp, grab that. If the two happen to go together, it is a WIN-WIN and you can "do" a page. But it is okay to just hang out and chat, too. It is as important to enjoy our time here as it is to document it.

So I shall probably spend all weekend doing that Wise words from grammadee and I will also say that (to quote sleepingbooty ) there are no rules! You do whatever brings you happiness in the mo, and we'd love to see, if you feel like sharing. Here are my answers, (I cannot seem to settle down to work today...too excited as I took tomorrow off!) Thursday AMA: 1. Which PROJECT are you most looking forward to working on during the crop?We took a trip to St. Kitts and Nevis in 2015, and for a few reasons it was a bit of a challenging trip. DH did not have a great time, his mom was hospitalized while we were there and there was other stuff going on too...we went with friends and that did not go super well...it kind of just made what should have been an amazing beach vacation seem like kind of a downer. So I haven't scrapped those photos yet, but bit the bullet and talked to DH about it now that a lot of time has passed, and he told me the things he did enjoy and I think I am at a place where I can scrap them. So I want to focus on the good stuff that happened and get those pics scrapped! 2. Do you have any good news to share for COVID-19 IMMUNITY? Did you already get a shot? Have your loved ones been vaccinated? Do you have an upcoming appointment or timeline when you'll be able to get the vaccine? My DD got her first shot yesterday! She works in a nursing home, so she was eligible in Jan, but she has a lot of allergies and the guidance that first came out was that if you have a lot of allergies to wait. So she missed her first opportunity (sigh) on the advice of her Dr. and then new guidance came out stating that if you have food or venom allergies, you are ok to get the shot. Well, by that time it was too late for her to get it through work and so she finally found an appointment for yesterday. My mom has her 2nd shot this Saturday, so that is very exciting!! 3. What are you CURRENTLY drawn to in the world of scrapbooking, cardmaking and/or crafting? Do you have a designer or brand you're loving at the moment? Is there a special technique you've gotten into? Have you been meaning to try out sketch or product?I am kind of late to the Shimelle/layering/cluster party. So I want to focus on layering more and making cool clusters. I tend to scrap with larger ephemera and embellishments, and you can only fit so many of those in a cluster, lol, so I want to try and work with some smaller items.

1. Which PROJECT are you most looking forward to working on during the crop? I've been working on a "This is what made me, me" album. Posted some challenges last month to inspire others to scrap about themselves. So - I want to get a few more pages done. 2. Do you have any good news to share for COVID-19 IMMUNITY? Did you already get a shot? Have your loved ones been vaccinated? Do you have an upcoming appointment or timeline when you'll be able to get the vaccine? I work for a company that provides support services to disabled adults. They are a vulnerable population so our employees were considered essential. My DH and I have had both shots with minimal side effects. I have a friend whose husband and daughter tested positive during the last few days and she tested positive yesterday. Husband is hospitalized. This monster is no joke!! 3. What are you CURRENTLY drawn to in the world of scrapbooking, cardmaking and/or crafting? Do you have a designer or brand you're loving at the moment? Is there a special technique you've gotten into? Have you been meaning to try out sketch or product? After a break of several years I've gotten back into counted cross stitch. I'm working on a piece I really like right now. She's called Angel of Light. il_794xN.2510042565_oveg by CLAUDIA LOVELESS, on Flickr

Thanks so much to everyone for organizing.
1. Which PROJECT are you most looking forward to working on during the crop?
I hope to work on my Aus/NZ/Fiji trip.
2. Do you have any good news to share for COVID-19 IMMUNITY?
Not much going on here. Province announced the conditional re-opening of our Maritime Bubble for travel without quarantining for April 19. Everyone in the province who wants it should have their first vaccine by June 30. Just looking forward to those things happening.
3. What are you CURRENTLY drawn to in the world of scrapbooking, cardmaking and/or crafting?
I love watching Missy Whiddenāās mixed media videos and I love backing cutfiles - you will likely see me do at least one on the weekend - likely the cutfiles lol - Missy makes mixed media look so easy but for me itās just mixed messy!

How fun - I'm mostly a NSBR pea, but think I'll jump in, since someone so nicely invited us. 1) I really would like to get just ANY scrapping done. I mostly only do with I'm on weekend crafting trips with girlfriends, and, well, we all know what COVID has done to those. 2) I got my 1st shot last Thursday. I had to drive 2 hours each way to a rural area where there's a surplus (grumble grumble) but was so excited I teared up afterwards and felt an incredible amount of relief. I wish I'd thought to check my blood pressure at the time, because I bet it was WAY down! 3) During COVID, I've taken up snarky cross stitching. I've been WFH full time the whole time, and it's easier to pick that up than scrapping (at least w/ my messy desk!) to keep me entertained during long miserable calls.

Hi everyone! I hope to play along this weekend.
1) I am most excited to scrap some 2021 photos. It's already been a hell of a year for me - hubby and I moved across the country back to my home state, and for the time being we are living with my parents while work is still remote (saving some money!!). I would love to document the move... and all the little things we've been doing at home since we got here. As you can imagine, most of my stuff is in storage. However, my mom is a scrapper and crafter so I have plenty of supplies to play with. I'm trying to resist the urge to buy new thingsssss while I am here, since I don't even know how big my next place will be!
Last night I just wrapped up my niece's baby album, so I am ready to get started with my new project!
2) As for immunity, I got my first shot on Tuesday. Both of my parents all fully vaccinated as well.
3) What am I currently drawn to? Not sure... I would say patterns and clusters!

Thursday AMA: 1. Which PROJECT are you most looking forward to working on during the crop?
First and foremost is making a birthday card for a local boy who is stuck at home for many months while recovering from MIS-C. His mother is hoping for 1,100 cards. Next, I'm back to making cards for Cardz for Kidz.
2. Do you have any good news to share for COVID-19 IMMUNITY? Did you already get a shot? Have your loved ones been vaccinated? Do you have an upcoming appointment or timeline when you'll be able to get the vaccine?
My second vaccine is scheduled for next Thursday!
3. What are you CURRENTLY drawn to in the world of scrapbooking, cardmaking and/or crafting? Do you have a designer or brand you're loving at the moment? Is there a special technique you've gotten into? Have you been meaning to try out sketch or product?
Since I'm all kid cards all the time, it's lots of cutesy, punny stuff. I've got a baseball card in process and next will be an 'egg-cellent' card featuring bacon and eggs. I did try some mixed media stuff as part of the 100 Day Project just to discover I am not a mixed media person. It's the cleaning up part that is off-putting to me.

Thank you sleepingbooty for heading up another weekend crop! 1. Project? No particular project in mind, but this is typically how I operate! 2. Immunity? My family has not yet been vaccinated. On Monday our county opened up the qualifying tier that DH & I fall into. DH is on vacation next week, so we are going to try to get our first dose then. We have friends that have gone to the pop-up clinics at 4:30pm as a walk-in (leftovers), so we will try our luck with that before trying to hit the appointment lottery. 3. Currently Drawn To? Right now I'm really into hand stitching on my layouts. I've only ever done stitching on fabric/felt, so this is new to me and I love it! I scrapbook 12x12 layouts, but l've been wanting to try adding in other sizes. Last year when SB.com released their range of page protectors (9x12, 6x8, etc.) I bought a small amount of each to try out, only I haven't actually tried them out! Shimelle's recent video showing her approach to 2021 scrapbooking has inspired me to pull out those "odd" sizes and give them a go!

Thursday AMA: 1. Which PROJECT are you most looking forward to working on during the crop? I'm taking part in Scrapbook and Cards Today's Crop and Create Delivered Cardmaking, so I won't be here very much, but I will be making a bunch of cool cards that I will share.
2. Do you have any good news to share for COVID-19 IMMUNITY? Did you already get a shot? Have your loved ones been vaccinated? Do you have an upcoming appointment or timeline when you'll be able to get the vaccine? My mom has an appointment for her first shot on the 27th. My DH's parents got their first shot this week.
3. What are you CURRENTLY drawn to in the world of scrapbooking, cardmaking and/or crafting? Do you have a designer or brand you're loving at the moment? Is there a special technique you've gotten into? Have you been meaning to try out sketch or product? I'm making a bunch of cards this month, so I'm loving all the new stamp and die sets. I bought Lawn Fawn's latest magic iris add on die of a sun. I'm also colouring for my 100 day project, so I've bought a few more Spectrum Noir markers to round out my collection.

1. PROJECT: I have a box of maybe 10 kits for pages to work on for my 2020 Family Album. I don't know that I'll get through all of them, but I want to make a good sized dent in them. 2. COVID-19 IMMUNITY: My age bracket can finally begin scheduling as of this weekend! I'll be stalking the websites tonight and early tomorrow morning. I might be just a little sleep deprived by the time the scrapbooking begins 3. CURRENTLY drawn to in papercrafting: I'm still hoping to bust out my Gelli Plate at some point, but I want to get more of my 2020 book squared away first.

Thursday AMA:
Which PROJECT are you most looking forward to working on during the crop? Iām hoping to do my Dec2020 PL pages and maybe figure out/decide if thereās anything worth scrapping so far in 2021 that isnāt covered well enough in my journal.
Do you have any good news to share for COVID-19 IMMUNITY? Did you already get a shot? Have your loved ones been vaccinated? Do you have an upcoming appointment or timeline when you'll be able to get the vaccine? I gave one of my 2shots, DD also qualified & DS volunteered to qualify so we are good. Ex doesnāt want vaccine. And my inlaws wonāt accept help scheduling so I donāt know.
What are you CURRENTLY drawn to in the world of scrapbooking, cardmaking and/or crafting? As usual for me dies. Dies dies dies. I donāt k is why but Iām drawn to them. Even now that Iāve learned to use my sil lousy Re and found the better blades I still love dies.
Do you have a designer or brand you're loving at the moment? Pink fresh, & altenew for brands that Iām currently drawn to. As for designers Iām living the inspiration I get from peas & peas on design teams. I regularly watch Pras YouTubeās & reels. ( if you have a you tube let me know I watch when I work from home ) And for non peas I watch Heba & Shimelle
Is there a special technique you've gotten into? Iāve been ābuildingā with my stamps a lot lately. Take a bunch of stamps and build a border or tag out of them, that has become my go to in the new year.

I'm really looking forward to this weekend! We're babysitting our grandson Saturday morning, but other than that I should be free.
1. Which PROJECT are you most looking forward to working on during the crop? I'll be working on my travel album. Double-page layouts for each destination. I already have 100+ page photobooks printed for each trip, but I want one album to show the highlights only.
2. Do you have any good news to share for COVID-19 IMMUNITY? Yes, great news! My husband and I have had both vaccines. Both of our daughters who live locally have had theirs, and so have their husbands. Also, all my brothers and sisters have had theirs. Next Tuesday will mark 14 days since my 2nd Pfizer vaccine, and you'll be able to find me at Costco and Home Goods! I also made optometrist appointments for DH and me next week. I can definitely see the light at the end of this L O N G tunnel!
3. What are you CURRENTLY drawn to in the world of scrapbooking? I love watching other scrappers' mixed media videos (especially Missy Whidden), but my attempts have been epic fails. I'm not giving up, though! I also love Felicity Jane and Page Evans collections. I like to scrap 2-page layouts because I want to get as many photos in as possible, and I took the Allison Davis 6x6 paper pad double-page sketches class, which was very helpful.

What are you CURRENTLY drawn to in the world of scrapbooking, cardmaking and/or crafting? Do you have a designer or brand you're loving at the moment? Is there a special technique you've gotten into? Have you been meaning to try out sketch or product? 1. I'm going to make the January 2021 pandemic layouts. Although there have been fewer & fewer pages in the album (which might be good because it is stuffed!), I still feel the need to keep up with it monthly.
2. I haven't gotten a shot yet. Biden is saying May 1st or thereabouts for my age bracket. I can't wait. I keep worrying that after all this time of trying to stay safe, I will get it right before being eligible for the vaccine.
However my father did get his first shot and I'm so excited for him. I can't wait for all of my family to be eligible. I hope kids are eligible before school in September.
3. Currently I want to use it up and move on! I have a whole ream of white cardstock, and very few other colors, so I'm drawn to using punches or layers of bright patterned paper with white background. I've been nosing around Pinterest for inspiration.
SPECIAL CROP WEEKEND PRIZE ANNOUNCEMENT Oooh... Good luck fellow peas!
I feel a bit overwhelmed with what to scrapbook because my cancer is incurable so at some point Iām going to be out of time...so it all feels likeTOO MUCH PRESSURE. I feel like any page I do has to be especially meaningful and profound and so I donāt know where to start. Gentle (((hugs))) pea friend.
I won't pretend to know what you're feeling, but I can empathize with your worry, and the pressure you feel.
I will echo, though, that at some point we will all be out of time. It might not be in the forefront of our minds like it is yours, but for any one of us, this could be our last bit.
Also, any scrapbook page you have made or will make is meaningful to those who know you. It will have your thoughts, your ideas, your memories, and that is what makes it special. Not how many embellishments you could fit, or how elaborate. You touched it, you made it, that's what makes it great.
Anything you do is good, is valid, and is right. Use your energy to find happiness in that day, and that moment, because what else really matters in life?

I'm hoping to be able to join the crop and hang out while getting some fun crafting done. Looking forward to it!
Thursday AMA:
1. Which PROJECT are you most looking forward to working on during the crop? Finishing up some cards I started in the last few days. They're watercolor and I've finished the painting but the designs need to be cropped, matted, and mounted onto the cards. After that I also have a few layouts I want to work on.
2. Do you have any good news to share for COVID-19 IMMUNITY? Did you already get a shot? Have your loved ones been vaccinated? Do you have an upcoming appointment or timeline when you'll be able to get the vaccine? DH & I are waiting for our turn in the appointment queue - we're eligible & registered, but not yet scheduled - looks to be about 3 weeks out. DD#1 is scheduled for 1st shot next week and my elderly dad is scheduled for 1st shot on Saturday! YAY!
3. What are you CURRENTLY drawn to in the world of scrapbooking, cardmaking and/or crafting? Do you have a designer or brand you're loving at the moment? Is there a special technique you've gotten into? Have you been meaning to try out sketch or product? Currently drawn to learning & practicing more watercolor techniques, and incorporating new ideas & designs into cards. For scrapbooking, I want to start incorporating more 6x6 paper into my pages. I have so many 6x6 paper pads!! I love 6x6 because they're so nicely coordinated already and generally don't require much extra work, but I struggle to use them on layouts sometimes. I generally do 2-page LOs so there must be sketches out there for that, right?

gramma, that cross-stitch angel is gorgeous! And @patter, I love the design you posted too - that will be really beautiful! I'm working on a cross-stitch piece for DH's [home] office. It's Odin's Ravens ( pattern link) to go along with his Norse mythology theme on one of his bookshelves. I've only barely started it, but I'm hoping to spend some time on it soon. I just ordered a new crafter's "headlamp" (LOL) with light and adjustable magnification so hopefully that will help. My previous 2 magnifier lamps both broke so I'm hoping the 3rd will be the charm. Fingers crossed!
