I love you to the moon & back
We’re over the moon
This isn’t my first rodeo

Oooh I've needed one of these threads for a while now.
"I'm going to be a grandma again!" No, you're not. You became a grandma when your first grandchild was born and you never stopped. You're getting another grandchild or another blessing or whatever you want to say about that, but you're not "becoming a grandma again."

We're pregnant.
NO, the male is NOT pregnant. Until you can shit a watermelon, you are not pregnant.
What ever happened to we're expecting? That is accurate.

My husband was delighted to be there for conception. But those next nine months? Yeah, pretty much just a normal guy doing everything he wanted and needed to do.

"I am, you know, *like* umm, *like* life is umm, *like* hard, you know."
"I *actually* went to the store, you know, like, actually went there."
"I don't want to *adult* today, just, actually, umm, don't want to, like, you know what I actually mean."
The words: *adult* , *like*, *actually*, *you know* and *umm* really bug me.

An adult describing food as "yummy" to another adult. HATE that! Describing any new designer scrapbook paper as "yummy" is the worst.

An adult describing food as "yummy" to another adult. I can beat that. I have a friend who posts food pics on Facebook with the same one-word caption every time. Nummy.

"No problem" for "You're welcome." And "splash" as in "I love a splash of cream in my coffee."

Share - as a replacement for tell, talk to, show, give etc etc. "can you share with us..." nooo it's "can you please tell us..." So overused! A certain interview the other day, they didn't speak, or talk or show things, they all "shared" Gift - as a verb. "I'm making a quilt and I'll gift it to..." or even worse, "I'll be gifting it..." "I bought it to gift..." Fall/fell pregnant - fell into what? who fell? What does a fall have to do with a pregnancy? The act if falling is a specific thing, there's no falling involved in concaving a child (maybe falling into bed..but again it's usually not a "fall" most people just get in normally) (Says every dog owner every time they meet another dog.) May as well add cat owners too! I Often say hi to dogs when I'm out and say "he can smell my cat" a LOT. It always seemed like a nice benign thing to say.

Addressing anyone as; - baby, or Babe who does not meet the chronological requirements - Fruit or food, such as in "she is a peach", "honey, would you...", pumpkin, please get....", "isn't he yummy". - Dear
In other categories, there are just too many to list. Just speak without trying to be cute.

I have never heard that!! It must be AU! but I would agree. I didn't realise it was just us Aussies! It is quite common here for someone to say "when I fell pregnant" or "I was hoping to fall pregnant"

It always seemed like a nice benign thing to say. My aunt and uncle have five kids. He used to say, "I woke up and she was just helping herself." So your phrase makes me chuckle. Apparently there are variants to conceiving a child I was unaware of until my uncle explained it.

One more big one - No Worries Guilty! I try to consciously say "you're welcome" instead but sometimes it just sounds too formal for the situation. Another one us Aussies use a lot.
