Long story short:
I've had cutting machines for several years, but haven't used them in a loooooong time.
I recently received a Cricut Joy from my DH as a gift. I have a bunch of off-brand vinyl I'd like to use to make labels by transferring the cut vinyl letters to card stock (that I also have a crap-ton of). Plus maybe use it to make greeting cards. I know I can write directly on the card stock, but I'm trying to use up some of my stash and be frugal. Plus, I only have the one Cricut Joy pen at this time.
I have some (but not much) Cricut transfer paper/tape. I know I can "de-sticky" it by pressing it on material. I've been experimenting and I've not be real successful. I was wondering if anyone had a different product they use to transfer vinyl to card stock that may already be less sticky.
Also, do you have other transfer tape/paper you like for other materials such as HTV, glitter, holographic, etc.
I'm kind of starting over with the learning curve, so any help will be appreciated.

HTV on paper works wonderfully. And I use the clear contact paper for transfer paper. Contact brand works best for me.

The contact paper from Dollar Tree is great for vinyl, but I haven't used it on cardstock.

Painters tape works well, esp for just transferring a small amount of letters!
