UPDATE I'm here!!! I get to yell at the players, clap my hands when they tell me, do the YMCA, and sing Take Me Out to the Ball Game
YAY!!!
OP
I've said all along, if they want people to stay home, they have to keep things shut down because the second I had a chance to go to a sporting event, I was going to take it!
Opening Day is next Wednesday. We couldn't get tickets to that, but I was able to get them for next Saturday.
I cannot wait to yell at the players and clap my hands on cue.

Good for you! Opening Day at Nats Park tickets start @ $419 per ticket and go up from there. “Cheap” games later in the season have ticket prices starting at $68 per seat for bad seats. I’m thinking we will still be watching on television this year. Which makes me sad, because we really do love going to the ballpark.
I hope that you have an awesome time! Sing a round of Take Me Out to the Ballgame for me. ❤️

I miss baseball games. We have a minor league thats local and they have a nice stadium and it’s so much fun. Good food and beer and the games are entertaining and there isn’t a bad seat in the house. We like to go to games early in the season as it gets HOT here. Depending on what happens I’m hoping we can get to a game. We should be fully vaccinated by mid-May and being able to go to a game or two would do wonders for my moral. We don’t like crowds so we like this stadium as you can sit a bit further out and away from people unless it’s a really popular game like the Fourth of July or a good giveaway.
Enjoy your game.

How fun! I’ve missed baseball. I wonder if they’ll attempt to restrict yelling like California is trying to restrict screaming on a roller coaster...ha!!

The Nats are usually covered on local channels. My younger son really likes watching baseball, including non-local teams, so we subscribe to the MLB streaming app and get to watch everything that way.

Is it because of limited fans or are they always that expensive for opening games?
That's so nice that you got the station so your son can watch the games. I love that he enjoys watching non-local teams also!

How exciting! Rangers + Astros tickets are too high - even for nosebleed, cheap seats. So we probably wont be going. We will go see our AAA team play in town though. We love baseball.

That’s what We are hoping to do. I do hope we can go. I need to see if they have any info on tickets available. I’m hoping the prices haven’t gone up too much.

The available tickets are being resold. I don’t know if the club itself will sell single game tickets.

My team is the Cardinals but they only make 1 road trip to Philadelphia each season. Unfortunately, this year is mid April so weather could be an issue. My DH splurged for my bday and got tickets for 2 out of 3 games. We had to buy a 4 pack pod so guess they are leaving space between seats for social distancing. It always says on ticket site you must sit w family or very close friends in your pod. I don’t know how they would ever enforce it. Prices were much higher but availability was low so he paid it. I am very much looking forward to it!

We will watch the Astros continue to shellac the As next Saturday during the home opening weekend. Can’t wait! 25% capacity and masks required, and we’re both fully vaxxed, so I have no concerns.

Have fun! We are waiting a bit as prices are about $140 more than normal due to limited seating. (This is for Angels)
Plus I want dd to be fully vaccinated. She goes April 20 for shot 2.

They have the non-sold seats roped off and there is nobody directly in front or behind you. There are a minimum of two seats between pods.
