I really love Jessica’s products, but wow shipping is high! I have three items in my cart and shipping is $6.15. I understand 12x12 paper and things like albums carry a higher shipping, and I don’t complain about that, but a few acrylic die cut pieces shouldn’t be that high! A few extra bucks isn’t that much I know, but when you’re already paying boutique prices, it’s hard to pull the trigger.

I know what you mean. It has gotten to the point that I almost don't want to get 12x12 anything online because the shipping is so freaking high. I just paid 9.95 for the NJFB kit, and had a really hard time with that.
(apologies to international peas who have insane shipping)
Edited to add, shipping was 9.95. The kit was 35.00. I tried to look at it as the kit was 45.00 but that didn't really work lol

Shipping kills me. It is a make or break for ordering to Canada for me

I would rather pay $10 shipping for 12x12 papers, etc. that I actually want, rather than go to Michaels/Joann and only have their limited supplies to choose from. It is absolutely worth it to me to pay the shipping price to not leave my house, deal with long lines and only 1 person working at the register, deal with a crowded parking lot and having little to no selection to choose from anyway.

I am so happy I still have a LSS. Her paper is higher priced than online, but I want to be able touch all of the pretty things.

Her items are unique and you can't find them in stores. That's what makes it ok in my mind to pay shipping. Sorry I'm no help but I do love Color Cast and the special touch it adds to my pages.

I’ve ordered from her before and love the designs. She carefully packs the pieces in a box with shredded paper. I think, unfortunately, shipping is just expensive. I suspect that’s the actual charge for shipping, I don’t think the rates are inflated.

I agree coloradocropper, I like the unique look Color Cast embellishments add to my pages. And I also like supporting the little shops during these hard times, so I choose to subscribe to her kits.

There were some really cute things in the spring release. Shipping drives me nuts too. I usually think about it as a % thing. If shipping is more than a 15% of the cost of what I'm purchasing, I have a really hard time. I either need to WANT the item(s) or I add more to justify the shipping or skip it depending. Ryann makes an excellent point though. I need to remember that next time I'm online shopping. I do love her designs. What does everyone use to adhere the see thru acrylic pieces? Anyone have a favorite?

Sometimes I like to sew a little cross stitch for a cuteness factor otherwise clear drying glue works well.

It cost me $4.30 to ship a 3 oz item so shipping is just expensive these days.

In fact I’ve shopped more frequently during the pandemic because they did online ordering and curbside pick up ! It’s pretty much a monthly expense

I signed up for the subscription today, but never got an email with the code that she mentions. Is it to be able to bundle with no added shipping? Any subbers that can provide some info?

Her designs are great. I wish she also sold them as cutfiles - acrylic is so thick and hard that I worry about it damaging the others pages/photos in my album once it’s in there.

I would email her. She usually pretty responsive to emails. I'm not a subscriber but when I had a question in the past she got back to me fairly quickly.

Im frustrated. I love her acrylic album (I use Ali's 3x8 inserts in them) but she is always out of stock on them. Id snatch that blue cover up in a heartbeat if it was in stock.

She's great and her products are wonderful! I was so happy to see her DT is full of fresh faces! I'm so tired of seeing one person in particular being picked up by team after team lately and was relieved she wasn't on this one!

But I agree, I’ve been getting tired of seeing the same faces on every DT. I’m glad she mixed it up! There are several who are oversaturing the DT scene.

As others have mentioned, Jessica always ships in those sturdy, perfectly sized boxes with plenty of crinkle paper. Whether I order a few items or back when I subscribed and ordered a lot, nothing has ever arrived broken. For me that's worth the cost. Shipping costs have gone up and I don't feel like CCD makes any money off the shipping - not after they buy the made-to-size boxes. I've gotten acrylic pieces from other companies that arrived broken and my perfectionist self just cant bring myself to use them so I'd rather pay reasonable shipping costs and get usable designs. (But TBH, maybe I'm just paranoid because we have a mail carrier who folded a hardcover book into a rainbow shape to cram it in our rural mailbox. )
