Ohhhhhh. I like those. (Good thing they're currently out of stock, haha!) lilacgal -- Have you seen Honey Bee Stamp's narrow alphabet? You might like them. They're suuuper skinny. Looking through my own collection... I have dies from Honey Bee Stamps, Lawn Fawn, Mosaic Moments, Scrapbook.com, and Sizzix. Mostly cutesy stuff from LF, but also one of their alphabets; from Honey Bee, 2 sets of different alphabets and numbers, as well as their sentiment banners; Scrapbook.com are a few sets of their nested dies that came with my machine; Sizzix - a small alphabet set and a tree line; and then from Mosaic Moments, a little bit of everything!

I like tall, skinny alphas - I miss you, colored Fitzgerald Thickers!. The dies I have are similar to these. (aff. link) I bought adhesive backed glitter foam sheets and cut my letters from that. Instant Fitzgerald look alike (mostly lol), and I’ll never run out of e’s! What adhesive do you use on them?

It’s already got the adhesive on it which makes it super easy to adhere. This one has more colors than I have...I may be tossing it into my cart!

Are they easy to adhere? Hahaha! I'll get you a pic later today. This thing called work kinda gets in the way. I'm planning on using a glue roller I have since they are so thin. I was also thinking maybe double sided adhesive might work, but I've not tried that yet. I'll do that today too, just as a test.

Like all craft supplies- it depends on what you what to use the dies for. I love cover dies, alphabet dies, nesting dies. I don't do scrapbooking- mostly cards, home decor, mixed media. I think why I like dies is that they add so much dimension to a project. Plus with dies you can cut them out of plastic to be a stencil or fun foam to make a stamp as well as the die cut!

rymeswithpurple , pesky work is always in the way of the fun stuff! I will try to wait patiently but I’ve had Starbucks this morning so I may be bouncing off the walls while I wait! Okay! So here they are. Top one was glued down with a Dotto Repositionable Glue Dispenser (I'm lazy and didn't glue all the way around, as is evident by part of the H sticking up), the bottom was with some double-sided adhesive from scrapbook.com. I only have the 1/4" adhesive, so that's why part of the I is sticking up. It didn't cover all of it because the dies shifted slightly when I ran it through my machine. I would probably go with the glue dispenser, or maybe spring for a Xyron sticker maker because the letters are so thin and finicky.

i started using my ultra skinny alpha dies when i got this needle tip bottle to dispense the glue. so helpful to getting just the precise amount of glue onto the entire die cut needle tip bottle

I use a variety of storage options but most are not available anymore (Quickutz branding). However, there are two systems that I use that are still current and work really well. The first is a hanging frame backed with a magnetic sheet. I bought a large 20 x 30 inch frame and backed it with 1/4” plywood with a magnetic sheet adhered to it. It holds a lot of dies and looks nice. It is heavy though, so be sure that you have the proper hanging supports. The second method is in clear file folders and in a desktop hanging file system. I use these folders from Staples. I bought a pack of chipboard and cut it down to size (8 1/2 x 11) to fit in the folder, then bought magnet sheets and adhered them to the chipboard. Buy heavy chipboard—it won’t flex as much and the magnets will stick better. Another option would be these Binder Refill Sheets. Same idea as above, but smaller. I actually use these for my stamp/die sets as I’m not a big stamper and don’t have a lot of them. I keep them stored upright in a bin vs the binder they are intended for. One way to pick up dies inexpensively is to check eBay. Many crafters sell their manual dies when they get an electronic die cutter like a Silhouette.

I use a Nuvo glue pen for small fiddler bits. The Sakura glue pens are a close second choice. The glue comes out in a fine line and adheres well. I also use Scotch Removable tape to help with all the little bits. I’ll line up a word on my work mat and then pick it all up with the tape, add glue to the back, and lay down the letters. It’s all lined up perfectly every time. It also works with any fiddley bits that you are trying to glue down.

Here’s the framed magnet board that DH made. It’s in the center of the photo, in the back. It’s an old photo—it’s crammed full now!

Thank you everyone! Lots of great and useful suggestions here. I already placed one order. May have to pick up some extra shifts to supplement my new diecut collecting hobby lol. Next I'll need to know storage tips Hahahaha. I keep my alphabets in a different place, but by dies go on large mirrors that are covered with magnetic vent covers, Love that I can keep adding. I pull out the mirror I need and keep the rest nested together. The second picture is them stacked in a corner.
