It's hard to believe it's April. And to make matters worse I woke up to a wee bit of snow on the ground today. I am working right now on my monthly shawl club installment and I should finish up today. I am doing a random Nature's Walk with leftovers. I am waiting on a delivery of yarn for my Whatchamacallit blanket. Hopefully it will come by next week. And I'm picking up my Waroo yarn from my friend who was balling it to take on my vacation in about a week. It will be my vacation project. What are you guys all working on this month? For those with little crafty time and crafty mojo I hope you get back on it this month. grammadee please send the scrapbooking *other crafts* on over here. Welcome to anyone from the scrapbook side who is making other crafts and wants to share here. Happy April!

I whipped up a Six Wives Shawl last week, it's such an easy relaxing knit it seemed to fly off the needles. I'm failing to get a decent picture of it though.
I'm making the Magic Heel socks again, this is my first time doing Helical knitting and I really like it. They look a bit crumpled atm, they'll need washing and smooshing into shape.

Somehow I didn’t get around to posting much during March, so this is a catch up post. I finished one pair of socks, and started on another. Love them both. Finished pair. Still working on these, but I am a bit further on than this now.

Now for my new projects. I started a new sweater. It is another design by the designer I did the online class with in November, but a pullover this time. It is top down, and I am just past the bust so far. The same designer has just released a new collection, which includes shawls as well as sweaters, and I knew I needed to make at least one of them straight away, so I ordered yarn for both. This yarn arrived first, so it got cast on yesterday. The colours are so not what I would normally think to put together, but it was one of the kits put together and I decided to take the risk - I am so glad I stepped out of my comfort zone, as I am loving it so far. This is the yarn for the other shawl. The pattern is similar, but the first is a large asymmetric triangle and the second one is crescent shape.

lainey I love the look of that shawl. Would love to see a picture. And I always think socks look weird without a foot in them. sueg I love your commitment to blue yarn! I think that must be your very favorite color. I love the finished pair of socks. And isn't it fun when we step out of our comfort zone and do a little something fun. I can't wait to see that shawl finished. And I hope you love it when it's done.

The past couple of weeks I've been in a knitting funk, haven't been working on any other projects than the 15 minutes or so it takes per day to keep my temperature blanket updated. I know I'll be motivated again to pick up some other projects, but I'm happy my blanket is current!

Love everyone's projects so far. The Temperance Shawl KAL started today and I plan on knitting along. HOWEVER, I was hoping to finish my Sideway's Shawl by now and I didn't - I am just past the half-way mark I'm so torn....should I go ahead and join the KAL or finish the shawl I already have in progress (maybe another week to 10 days) - what would you do? Would love opinions!

Julie W the temperature blanket is coming along really nice. The colors are wonderful. disneypal, do both! That's my vote. And now that you've progressed so far on your shawl, I am really loving it.

I just finished last week’s watercolor lesson! When I started it, I kept alternately saying to myself “this looks like crap” and “trust the process”. In the end, it came out better than I expected. Sometimes you just have to let the watercolors do their thing! Lisa B.

Cupcake, the tulips are beautiful. I'm not currently in the midst of much crafting, but I have been reorganizing/remodeling my craft room. I think I will be mostly finished this weekend, and by mostly finished, I mean "I will have assembled the final piece of furniture." I will be organizing forever, but that's okay, because I've realized that I enjoy that process. (I just don't like it as much later when it's called "cleaning.")

Would love opinions! I'm another vote for 'do both' - see my previous post for evidence! Especially if the KAL shawl is a bit trickier, or the pattern comes in parts each week or so. You will have times you need something more straightforward, or to fill in gaps between sections.

Happy April ladies! Lovely, inspiring, things already posted. April was a bit of a crafting wash out for me. I’m still plodding on with the border for my adventurous Queen. I think I’ll rechristen it Covid Chaos as it looks chaotic, there are plenty of errors and the year was chaotic. The diamonds at the top and bottom were totally random, I put the numbers of the patterns in a jar and pulled a number out for each diamond. The larger middle diamonds have the date 2020 on at the top left and bottom right and the initials are our immediate family. The initials were done at random too and it’s really weird that they came out the way they did with the oldest generation on the top, the youngest in the middle and the middle generation on the bottom. That was how I had originally planned it in my head but deliberately swished the names around in the jar. It was spooky to be drawing them out in the order I had thought of. The yarn is Stylecraft batik in cream and batik elements in a random purple and jade. It’s really lovely to work with and the result is soft, squishy and warm. If I’d seen this as a pattern I doubt I’d want to do it as it’s not my normal style but I really like it and it feels particularly personal.

My very thoughtful friend, James, gave me this book yesterday as a gift. I'm three chapters in and I'm loving it.

Happy Saturday! In the last few weeks, I have discovered and taken several online craft classes and wanted to share the info with you all. I have found many fun classes on these three sites but there are others out there, too. MichaelsEventbriteMeet UpI also blogged about my experience if you are interest. Link Here

I still haven't received my Harmony blanket kit and I've lost my knitting mojo Oh, that stinks. I'm so sorry. I've only received half my yarn. I'm hoping the other half comes today. I'm ready to start a new project.

I still haven't received my Harmony blanket kit and I've lost my knitting mojo Thank you! They're the style I used to make years ago and I felt like revisiting the big patterns and inked edges. 3 of my well-loved sponge ink pads have perished in the making of them. I've had those for 13-odd years so they don't owe me anything. I'm lots better, thank you! Every few days I notice an improvement, then the following day I'm not so good again, but in general it's 3 steps forward, 1 back, so definitely getting there. My oncologists' appointment is in one week. How long ago did you put the order in?

Wrong season for these Festive Friends but I had wanted to make them for a while. I’ll give them to my mom for Christmas. She loves receiving them as much as I like making them.
